may e-reader (kahit dedicated) ba na 10 inch or bigger and has e-ink? i know kindle used to have one but phased out na. maybe others have. thanks sis!

i have nook 1st gen, so far so good. natutuwa ako sa kanya. naghahanap nga ako ng cover kaso wala naman akong makita i have nook color cover, di sya kasya hehe. if ever pala trip nyo ng nook color cover, just ping me

I have a Kindle keyboard, pero parang gusto ko palitan ng may built-in 3G network.  Or go with the paperwhite with the 3G network.  I like to travel and I think the 3G feature would come in useful.

My Kindle keyboard is always with me too, kaya parating nasa bag. When at home, katabi ko matulog ang aking Nexus 7 (w/ the Kindle app of course)

I had a dream  this morning. I was sitting on a curb with a sign begging for money to buy a Kindle paperwhite. I was even holding a cardboard sign that said: Need money $119 for a Kindle Paperwhite. Di ko man kinompute yung taxes lol. While waiting I was reading pa on my google nexus  after a while a guy  came out of a car and gave me $100 to buy the kindle he said something like  "maganda yung bisyo mo" but in english. Kulang pa ng $20 ay plus tax sa dream baka tomorrow may part two. La naman pa ako desire for a kindle it was interesting na sumulpot sya sa dream ko

^^i was considering the 3g also before. but i realized i always sideload books lang naman. masyado pala ako kuripot to actually buy books.

Naiintrigue ako sa Kobo, though I haven't used one and I'm partial to Kindle.  Tinignan ko yung features sa website ng National Bookstore, and mukha naman maganda.  Yung ibang features listed there, like expandable memory, I've long wished that Kindle had.  Parang bitin kasi yung 2GB sa Kindle, nakakatamad and nakakapanghinayang to have to decide which books to remove from your Kindle to make room for new ones.  Sana Amazon will increase the storage capacity on the next Kindles released.

I listed down some pros and cons between Kindle and Kobo, for a friend who was torn between the two. This might be handy for those of you still thinking of which to buy.

KOBO GLO
+ supports epub files and sideloading ebooks through the SD card
+ reportedly a much nicer and more even light than Kindle
+ different colors, if you're into that sort of thing
+ more fonts and adjustments to suit your preferences
+ initial storage is 2GB, but can be increased to 32GB with a SD card

- online store has a smaller selection of books than Amazon
- software is reportedly a bit wonky at times and support is lackluster

KINDLE PAPERWHITE
+ large e-bookstore (they also always have deals)
+ software is fairly stable with regular updates
+ I think the light is great on the Paperwhite, some people got lemons, though
+ very easy to purchase from Amazon and ask for support

- closed ecosystem, with only mobi and azw files supported
- small space (only 2gb on Paperwhite), with no room for expansion
- less font choices than Kobo
- only comes in boring black

I have a Glo and no issues with the small selection of its online store. I purchase in Amazon then transfer to Kobo Glo.

I received my Kindle Paperwhite (2013) today. I loaded my ebooks which I previously have on my Kindle 4. I love love love it! I just have to get used to the touchscreen after reading from my Kindle 4 for a while.

^I still have no case for my PW. Gamit ko yung Built NY sleeve ng Kindle 4 ko. Masikip nga lang. But I have decals for both Kindle para pang-protect na rin sa kanila.

^ sis, hindi ba same size lang si kindle 4 at si new kindle? Akala ko oo. Pero nagtataka ako kasi bumili ako ng case for the new kindle na same ng case ng kindle 4 kk at masikp nga sya parang pilit na pilit si new kindle sa case. Sis, anong decals?

^Mas makapal si PW. Yung decal sis para siyang sticker na may designs. Pang-protect din sa Kindle.

^ ay sis, sorry, yun pala ang kindle 4. akala ko ang kindle 4 is the old PW. yung PW ko before tong bago eh yung model before this new one. pero parang masikip din si case na nabili ko. ang ganda pala ng decals! sa US mo din yan binili?
