^Last time I asked JAC, $6.50 ata ang bayad sa kanila sa Kindle (pa-confirm na rin) kasi gusto ko bumili directly sa Amazon.

Hindi naman siguro kalabisan kung kukuha pa ko ng Paperwhite no? Naabutan ako minsan sa daan sa gabi at gusto ko magbasa pero di pwede sa Kindle at sobrang bright naman nung reading light.

^No, I didn't get a wall charger. I already had one lying around from my old Kindle keyboard kasi.

I probably still wouldn't buy one if I didn't have it already, because it doesn't get used much. I read on average about an hour to 4 hours a day, and the battery lasts at least a couple of weeks with airplane mode on before I have to charge it.

Charging it through the USB connected to the computer would take about 4 hours to complete, according to Amazon. Should be easy if you're in front of a computer all day.

^^Mejo mas cheaper option ang Kindle dito if you don't plan to buy the Amazon cover. But I wanted the cover, so I sucked it up and ordered through JAC.

Meron package kasama yung Amazon cover pero I don't know how much yun compare sa Amazon mismo. I use decal kasi ayoko may cover yung Kindle and I have a Built NY sleeve.

$173 with tax to NY for the unit plus amazon cover (may tax na din amazon to NJ!!! argh). so that's 7600 thereabouts na plus JAC pa. so might as well get from the reseller na lang nga ano?

the package includes the unit, screen protector, amazon cover. not bad na din now that i think about it.

^^ ibang reseller sis. nakita ko sa ebay.ph then i inquired via facebook. stocks will arrive july 29 daw but i haven't reserved yet.

^Sucks about the NJ tax. That's where I had mine shipped back in February precisely so I could avoid tax. Meron na pala tax ngayon. A local reseller does look cheaper in that case.

^ not all items are taxable when shipped to NJ. some toys di pa. at least the rate in NJ is slightly lower than in NY.

i reserved na with that reseller. excited.

Love my paperwhite super sulit ang upgrade from kindle touch. di makaalis ng bahay ng hindi dala and di rin makatulog hanggat di ginagamit hahaha (one time nagising ako sa umaga yung nakahiga sa unan ko yung paperwhite ko tapos ako hindi na ko nakaunan!)

so ok na din that i got it here. i contemplated getting just the unit and then getting the cover direct from amazon pero na low EQ ako. i will get my unit tomorrow daw.

i checked out the calibre demo na din kanina. i dont think i will have a hard time converting my epubs to mobi naman pala. sana. gusto ko pa din iconvert lahat even the ones i've already read.

i got a fuschia amazon cover pala. i hope the color is easy on the eyes. my second choice was honey but i was unsure of the shade.

^Kung small difference lang naman, dun ka na sa mas mabilis.

I convert my epubs to azw3, cos I read that it's a much better format for the newer Kindles than just Mobi, di ko lang maalala kung baket.

You just have to be a bit careful with it, it could get scuffed easily. Mine has a white ring on it cos I accidentally put a nail polish remover cap on it.

Uy, we have the same cover.  Super nice but madali umitim yung gilid/glue ng leather and ng rubber.  Or madumi lang yung bag ko.  Hehe

@clueless - it was just taken with flash, but it's lighter in person.

@lovehatemanila - same tayo, mejo may konting dark smudges din yung akin. It's not just your bag.

i had that same cover in yellow naman. i bought it together with the paperwhite. after a while, i removed it na rin. it added noticeable weight and thickness kasi for me. so i just applied a skin on my paperwhite and i have a separate leather case.

but that amazon cover really serves its purpose. makes the paperwhite sturdier.

sis clueless, lis meron ako netong paperwhite, nasa 6k ko lang nabili dito pero wala pang cover. i bought a cover pero hindi na yung for kindle paperwhite talaga, okay naman. i also bought a wall charger kasi ayaw ko magsaksak sa laptop pa. nakuha mo na kindle mo?

sa amazon mo mismo binili o sa reseller din dyan? 6700 lumabas ang kindle plus 2400 ang amazon cover.

sa reseller lang din dito, lis. naka sale nung binili ko. pero si cover di ko binili kasi ang mahal. bumili ako sa amazon ng cover, mura lang, nasa 500 php lang. pero si wall charger binili ko na din kasi medyo mura lang din. excited ka na!!

i got my kindle paperwhite! it's perfect! and i love the shade of my fuschia amazon cover. i made the right choice because it was either this or yung honey (yellow).

i dont want to mess with it muna though. i will wait for my husband to get home. i might break it. hehe.
