I was considering getting the Kindle Paperwhite kaso 2GB lang ang storage.  I do have a Kindle keyboard, iPad, and Nexus 7 so I just alternate between those depending on the lighting requirement. Siguro pag nag upgrade na ang Paperwhite to a larger storage capacity I will get it.

I ordered the Kindle Paperwhite and leather cover a couple of weeks ago and had it shipped through Johnny Air.

tanong ko sa mga may kindle paperwhite sa front screen nyo ba does it show the books you're currently reading?
i think yan namimiss ko sa kobo interface, na madali to switch books kasi the 4 or 5 recent books your reading  it's becomes your wallpaper.

Mga sis, what is the process if shipping it thru Johnny Air? And how long does it take to get here? I'm planning to order the Paperwhite since it's difficult na to read using my Kindle 3. Nearly half of the screen is covered with lines already. Pero despite that  ok pa naman sana sya. I'm now torn whether to order the Paperwhite or the screen replacement for Kindle 3 sa ebay.

^you order it through amazon, have it shipped to a johnny air address, inform the johnny air contact of your purchase, then you'll have it 1-2 weeks.

i think a package weight of 2lbs will cost P800 in total shipping. ask them na lang. and i think somebody posted here the exact cost of their kindle shipped thru johnny air.

i use ipad3 for reading ebooks. pero minsan nagbabasa ako sa s3. kaso sakit sa ulo. ang liliit. kahit  lakihan ko hirap.

I had the Kindle Keyboard way back 2011 but I sold it even though I didnt want to for financial reasons.

Now, I my sister gave me her preloved Kindle 4 with ads (which she bought in Singapore from a reseller). I still prefer the keyboard. No hassle when I wanna take note of something, etc.

Anyway, lines started to form when I accidentally dropped it (hindi naman mataas, light lang pagkahulog). I got worried because gift nga sa akin kasi hindi na talaga ma ayos-ayos. When I contacted customer service, they said I was eligible for a replacement (thank God!). Imagine, kahit sa reseller lang namin binili and take note, with ads pa siya which means it's not for international sale. For US lang dapat. Yet they told me na papalitan plus sila pa magbabayad ng shipping ng replacement ko. THe best customer service talaga ang Amazon!

^^even if with ads naman, it doesn't mean that it's for US only. i think all kindles can be bought online from anywhere, they accept most credit cards. if limited to US yung sales nila, they shouldn't be accepting PH-issued credit cards. i've been purchasing from amazon for years already using my ph credit card.

^any book in mobi format can be loaded into the kindle. i'm pretty sure there's a bible ebook somewhere.

I just bought a Kindle paperwhite with the Amazon magnetic cover that automatically wakes the Kindle when you open it! I'm in love   I really love my new Kindle! I had the Kindle with the Keyboard before. Medyo nami-miss ko yung keyboard but I'm loving the lighted screen more. I read all the time kasi so it's really better for me to have the light para di masira mas lalo yung eyes ko

Ano masusuggest niyo na best/ cheapest way to get a kindle? Parang ang mahal kasi ng shipping eh, half the price ng unit. Btw, i'm going to Japan this May, ask ko lang, pwede kaya ako magpurchase ng kindle from amazon japan then padeliver sa hotel? Super cheap ng kindle kasi sa amazon japan. Around 30-40 USD yung diff sa price. Di pa need mag shipping fee

Update:
They do ship daw to hotels. But for the warranty kailangan i-ship to a Japan address daw pag may replacement and such. So yun yung problem ko ngayon. Worth it kaya ang around 2500php na masasave for no warranty? Or may alam kayo na parang Johnny Air for Japan? Thanks!

hi sissies, ask ko lang anong mas prefer nyo Nook or Kindle?
I'm planning to buy either nook simple touch or Kindle 5
(if may budget either nook simple touch with glowlight or kindle paperwhite)

for me mas like ko ang nook because of the epub format,and dahil madami akong books because of my ipad.. pero what do you think sissies? i really need your opinions.. TIA

Anyone here who has tried Kobo? I have a Nook and I love it to bits, but I am interested in Kobo because of its size.

^i had the kobo mini it's so cute pero in the long run nakaka hassle gamitin maliit masyado to fit my hands pero nice to lug in my purse coz of the size and another con lang i found was the paging madamli mawala the bookmark and the pages don't stay like it's too sensitive. It would be a good buy if you get it on sale not reg price. i like the interface tho where it has all the books you're currently reading  on the home screen and it's user friendly for lefties.

@xRylaine check the previous posts on this thread for reviews and user preference it might help cut down your options if you backread on those.
