Just want to share our story behind our invitation.

We attended several bridal fairs to hunt our invitation, either walang personalized invi at kung meron man sobrang mahal naman.

We decided to DIY our invitation pero we have no time, and di na ako marunong magphotoshop, and to save time magdodownload nalang sana kami ng template sa internet pero this is against our 'personalized' goal for our invitation.

I asked here sa gt and our fellow sis jentotmd recommended The Happiness Badge
I visited their profile sa FB and decided to message them.

Grabe sobrang bilis nilang mag reply, and we asked kung how much. at a very affordable price, we get to design our own invitation just by describing it, in short, sobrang personalized talaga.

We are from mandaluyong and they are from Laguna and talagang nakipag meet pa sila saamin dito sa metro manila para lang maipakita nila yung mock up design and sample papers na gagamitin.

We are so glad na they exceeded our expectations.

1-2 weeks lang ang printing and natanggap na namin agad ang invitations.

Thank You Happiness Badge https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Happiness-Badge/836895499696170

mga sis, i know it's bad practice to put 2:30PM sa invites tapos 3PM pa ang ceremony.  Kaya lang the church where we're gonna be married in says that they will start the ceremony 15 minutes before the schedule and that they are very strict about it... if ma-late, the priest daw may opt to ommit the homily altogether  :o :-[  Tapos the readers need to be in the church 1hr before.  Do you girls think bad practice pa din ba na ilagay 2:30PM? :( or 3PM pa din pero talk to everyone to be there early (mejo matrabahao nga lang gawin 'to)  any advice?

^I don't know about the other ladies and men here, but time to be reflected on our invites is 30 minutes before the actual time per advice of some suppliers and friends. Alam mo naman, in our culture, "Filipino time", almost always fashionably late ang marami. I don't think 30 minutes is that bad. In our case, air-conditioned naman ang church namin, so I don't think it won't be a problem.

We put "starts exactly at <ceremony time>" in the invites, pati sa FB event, pati pag nagtatanong mga tao. Wala naman late :)

Sabi kasi, the more you recognize Filipino time, the more nagiging culture na talaga siya instead of bad habit kasi people are assuming na maaga nilalagay na time sa invites.

agree sis j.adore. :)

we also plan to do the same at pagbigay namin ng invites may kasamang verbal warning na "pag na-late ho kayo, di po kayo makakasama sa pictorial/pagma-martsa" since 1/3 halos ng guests namin ay kasama sa entourage.  ;D

btw, any printdivas b2b's out there?
if there are, ano'ng ideal timeline nyo sa pagpapagawa ng invitations?
i'm thinking of doing the final detailing by the last week of feb or 1st week ng march so i can give them a month to work on the invites and then send it out to the guests by may for our july wedding.

do you guys think that's enough time na..?

Good that it worked on you. My family (father included) and friends are almost ALWAYS late so can't risk it on our wedding. :)

Finally, I've decided on our invites!

Wala na sanang invites since I dont want to spend for this na but naisip namin na we have to have something for our witnesses/sponsors. eh 5pairs lang sila. Printing shops usually have min. order quantity. So Diy is the way to go.

BUT. gusto ko din ng something that would make them remember and they can use after. So after much thought and research, naisip ko ay....throwpilows!

i searched online and found someone na gumagawa na burlap ang cover. I sent them the design (monogram, details) i want printed on the cover. No min. order requirement! Tadaaah! Ü

So nasagot lahat ng concerns ko---functional, unique, goes w my theme, diy-ed ang design and presentable pag personally delivered. happiness! lol!

i just want to share our experience with putting an earlier time on the invitation rather than the actual time.
we attended a wedding last weekend and their invitation said 1 pm, we were also told that the church is very strict and that the ceremony would start on time. we arrived in manila around 7 am (cebu pacific was delayed by 2 hours), we took a 2-hour nap had a bit of breakfast then prepped for the wedding. by 12 noon we were on our way to the church as we planned and we got there around 12:30. the decorations were up but there was definitely no aircon yet. there were also not many other guests around. since we were early we walked around the church. come 12:45, there were still no guests, no aircon, no sign of the wedding party. my husband asked me whether we were at the right church. he was saying "the ceremony is supposed to start in 10 minutes and there's nobody here!" so i go and search out other people. good thing by 1, i saw some other friends and confirmed we were at the right wedding! hahaha!
my husband was clearly not happy about the difference in the time on the invitation and the actual time but he enjoyed the rest of the day nonetheless.
for us, the time on our save the date and website is the actual time. we tell everyone that we will start on time and there will be no "filipino time" i don't want my guests rushing to get to the ceremony at a specific time and then find out later that it was starting later.
we skipped lunch just so we could get to the church on time so we were really hungry by the time the ceremony ended.

it was very nice wedding and quite beautiful, too, but the length of time between ceremony and reception was just too long...our reception will follow right after the ceremony so cocktails will be ready as soon as guests arrive at the venue then dinner will start around 6 pm after we fly the lanterns :-)

For us I will still put 2:00pm on our invites kahit na 2:30 yung sa church kasi mejo strict sila and they stated that 30mins before the schedule dapat naka ready na lahat esp. the entourage. then I'll put 5:00 for Cocktail Hour. around 20 mins drive din kasi from our church to reception and I'm quite sure na immediate family lang talaga ang napunta sa ceremony..

That's one of the reasons why we didn't put an earlier time. We've attended several weddings na 1 hour before nakalagay. Starved for the first ones kaya lagi may baon na o we eat before.

While I understand it's to have the guests at the church or venue come actual ceremony time, medyo disrespectful siya sa mga punctual na tao lalo sa foreigners.
Another reason yan kasi iba ibang lahi yung invited foreigner guests namin.

Yung sa entourage, they are required to be early! Pinagsabihan ko talaga haha though wala naman sa personalities nila to sabotage our wedding. Early din lahat☺

hi j.adore, same here, i don't want my husband's family or our foreign guests to have a bad impression of filipinos...but my guests can't really be late because i'll have vans pick them up at their hotels so they don't have a choice but be on time...our families will be with us so we'll all go to the church together ^_^

^My OTD also told me not to put 1 hour before the actual time. Enough allowance na ang 30 minutes. I understand sentiments expressed above, especially if you have foreign guests. We don't. Unfortunately for us, we have a lot of friends and relatives who are latecomers, so we really have to give an allowance. :)
