we are also including 2 pairs of sponsors in our invitations even if they won't be able to go.
when we have our celebration in the u.s. then we can have them stand as witnesses during the renewal of vows :-)

mga sis, sa envelope ng invitations kelangan bang ilagay ang "atty" or Engr" titles or dapat Mr. & Mrs na lang? I've been googling and most of the articles that ive been reading are saying na hindi na dapat nilalagay ang mga titles na atty or engr and Mr. & mrs would do, unless na nga lang na Doctor... pano yung nilagay nio sa inyo mga sis?

Kase ang balak namin sana is Engr. john doe & Mrs. Jane doe.  Ano ba ang tama?

In the invitation itself, we've indicated the titles, Atty, Engr, Dr, etc etc. Those who don't have any, Mr and Mrs.

But on the envelope, Mr and Mrs lastname lang.

^I think it's respectful din kasi sis if you use honorific titles to your Principal Sponsors.
Most of my PS din kasi are doctors and anaesthetists that I used to work with..

^hi sis vitug.annie yep for PS, sa mismong invitations nakalagay ang mga titles nila i was just wondering kung ano mas ok sa mismong envelope Kase we have guests na engineers and lawyers pero hindi namin PS.. so hindi ko sure pano ia-adress sila sa envelopes

Yes sis, ganyan nga.. iniisip ko naman yung isang PS ko din, Doctor and Government Official.. Yung doctor ang PS ko tlaga, then hubby is the official..

^yung nasa pinterest is more of the american way of addressing persons. sa Philippines kasi we are very concerned about personal titles/degrees/achievements/educational attainment... okay lang siguro for the younger generation na hindi ilagay ang title nila like Atty or Dr. pero yung mga older bunch, Old school din ang thinking... ganun ang set of PS namin, traditional din pati ang family ko, kaya sa invitations namin, nilagay namin ang titles nila.

^true sis fionaapple iba din kase ang naka gawian dito sa Pinas kaya somewhat confusing pag   nag b-base ako sa mga articles sa US hehe.

Like yung sa invites namin, kumuha lang ako ng template online --  which is a standard invitation template ng US -- and used it for our invites.  Sa template, hindi na nakalagay names ng parents ng couple (and since kami din namang couple ang mag shoulder ng expenses) pero nung pinakita na namin sa oldies.... mega react silang lahat... nasan daw ang names ng parents!  We had to redo the whole invitation para mailagay ang names ng parents hehe

I agree that PH has far more sensibilities than other countries, hindi lang US.  LOL.  However, I agree with the standard as well.  Dagdagan niyo na lang, if need be.  For government officials, it's always titular (mayor, gov, cong, et al), for the President of the country it's his excellency ata, for judges it's honorable kembot. 

Sis xxIcePrincessxx, kami rin ni h2b ang magbabayad ng wedding.  Ang ginawa na lang namin, "With the blessings of our parents" on the main invite tapos we included their names on the entourage list, right at the top. 

Mahirap talaga to satisfy so many aspects, ie the standard, the parents, tradition, etc.  Ang dami dami kasi.  Personally though, I'd rather go with something that we as a couple both feel right about.  The people who mind don't matter, and the people who matter won't mind.

It differs talaga whichever part of the globe you are from. But since the wedding will be in Pinas, I would prefer to address them using their honorific titles..

sis, we got our invites from kenneth uy sa bridal fair.. wala pa samin ang print-out kaya di ko pa masabi.. pero sa bridal fair nila, maganda naman ang samples nila

Yes sis, discounted sila ng almost 20% sa bridal fair.. Nung nagtitingin kami ng invites nila, di kami maka-decide kung aling style ang kukunin namin.. So nag-down na kami.. Then Ang ginawa nila, inilista nila sa contract namin yung mga designs na nagugustuhan namin including the discounted prices for each.. Then later na lang kami nag-decide kung alin dun ang final style na gusto namin..

^if that's what they prefer just follow it. Everyone wants to be addressed differently.  But in our case naman, we mostly have doctors and surgeons + anaesthetists.. so for me, it's  only about treating people with the respect they deserve.
