--- i think priorities and choices would be much different between those who came from a failed relationship and from those who wanted to have a relationship...
I agree.
Those who came from a failed relationship/marriage, sometimes prefer to be old maids and happy.

^ true.

After surviving from a fall (failed marriage), they become wiser and more focused on their self worth, happiness and well being.

Unlike for singles talaga who has never been married, kahit once siguro, there are some people who are willing to gamble kasi nga never pa nila na experience.  As for the married once before, parang been there done that, next chapter na!

I'm in 30's na din, single and not dating for a long time. So glad I found this thread, I also pray for a partner. Maybe God has still a plan for me kung hindi nya pa ko binibigyan. Pero I'm not yet giving up..

Masarap naman ang single, nakakainggit lang yung ibang couples, especially in my family na ako na lang ang walang asawa. As for my friends and in workplace, madami pa rin ang singles even at age 40 na sila, kaya hindi naman ako masyado napre-pressure pagdating sa work/friends.

TO ALL SINGLE ladies and hoping to find "the one", don't just passively wait.. Be actively prepare for it.. Make wise use of the time God is giving you now to prepare. You have to prepare yourself physically, emotionally, mentally, financially even on domestic skills/budgeting. Para when God blessed us with a husband, we're ready.

At least kung hindi ka man makapag-asawa, you live a fulfulling life.

I'm getting there hahaha.

I take care of myself and work hard because I don't want to depend on anyone else, whether I'll end up becoming single for life or finding my partner.

I usually hear pinapaaral mga siblings, but in your case, cousins?? Are they orphans? Seriously, ano ginagawa ng uncles/aunts mo for their kids? You might someday regret lost time, once they graduate, will you still be in the child-bearing age? Just give yourself a deadline and a budget, because that is not a way to prepare for your own future.

^you can train your guy to be faithful.

sometimes, the problem is also with the girls expecting their guys to be faithful and yet not helping them to remain faithful, like when girls nagging the guys away.

also, not all women are destined to be married. di naman kasi 1:1 ratio ang population eh.
some are destined to be single-blessed. and it's also not all that bad, unless having a family is your measure of success/fulfillment and nothing else (other aspects like getting rich, owning your dream home, doing the love you work, traveling the world, maybe it is materialistic, but we all belong to/come from a family naman). you have to find your life's purpose kasi other than having kids.

@ sis agape, solo child kasi ako from my mum side, so wala akong mga kapatid na ina-atupag kaya sila ang tinutulungan ko. sad to say, ang mga parents walang work, meron man ang iba hindi sapat para makapag college ng anak nila, mahirap i-kwento buhay ko dito baka ma textspeak lang ako at ma lock ang page sa haba at mala MMK ang dating :-)

good news is, yong isang pina aral ko, first day nya na kanina, isa na syang high school teacher. kababawan man sa iba but i was teary eyed today when she texted me and said, " thanks Ate, first day ko kakapagod at para akong mauubusan ng boses hehe" makakatulong na rin sya sa akin sa pag-papaaral ng mga pamilya namin.

yes... maybe i'm still single because of my past relationship with my ex-boyfriend.

na-trauma talaga ako sa 1st relationship ko...

Between my single friends in their 20s and the ones in their 30s-40s, when it comes to the subject of dating and men, I like the older ones better. I think it's because they hold a less stubborn view of how their lives should turn out so they're more chill. They don't throw their weight around. They understand that "single awareness day" made single life seem like a terminal disease. And they don't go, "it's his loss!" when a budding romance goes sour. I just wish all men would get that women also usually get better with age. :)

Eto na lang mga sis,

Women are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. Most men don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they sometimes take the apples from the ground that aren't as good, but easy. The apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they're amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who is brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree.

Now Men.... Men are like a fine wine. They begin as grapes, and it's up to women to stomp the s*** out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with. ;D

When the time is right, you all will find the love of your lives :) Mas older, mas may asim!

malapit na din akong mapabilang dito, hehe... ;D

nakapag-BF din naman ako but it didn't work, doh! kaya ayon, nagsumikap at nag concentrate nalang si ate sa pagpapa-aral ng mga kapatid, at sa wakas graduate na silang lahat at may mga work na din. as of now, preparing for my future...ipon nlang para if incase maging single forever, i have enough funds for living. anyway, habang buhay may pag-asa, dont stop praying...goodluck to all of us ;)

^^^ naku, i have a long way to go before i become a wise 30 something kahit ba konting lundag na lang din, 30s na din ako harhar. but yun nga. i think when it comes to love and all that jazz, madalas, older women are more relaxed. that isn't to say women in their 20s are all crazy. i have a few friends din naman in their 20s who are comfortable being single and are not in any rush to settle down. :)
