so baka next year pa to or 2 years from now. anyway dagdag din naman ng points ang experience... and pasok pa din naman sa 30points yung age ko by that time... hihi. thank you

Aussiemom, parang wala na yata GMA dito, at least in Sydney, parang 3 years na yata. Pero best place to ask is a Filipino shop. Most of pinoy-owned business kasi wala rin online presence.

Hello Mga sis, just would like to ask in behalf of my hubby. He was interviewed last week ny McDo Aus. After the interview, my hubby was just confused Kasi wala na ang sinabi on what to expect after the interview, ang sinabi Lang is that to send his resume again with the job descriptions, how soon can he take IELTS and send the results to them, and lastly, how long notice can he give once they hire him.  It is needed for the visa application daw sabi nung interviewer. Is that the hiring process in Australia? All I know is that natural hiring process diba dapat job order Muna ibibigay before anything else? My hubby is currently in McD Canada and his WP is about to expire kaya he applied for McD Aus. The one who interviewed him is from ISA Group Immigration, human Resources and Immigration. Or Hindi Lang talaga pumasa hubby ko and that is their way of rejection. What do you think Mga sis? Thanks for those who can answer, Godbless.

Hi! Here I am again. Somehow malinaw na yung fees na sinisingil sa akin. Professional charges for employment servicing and migration fees is $4,908 AUD. Its like placement fee. Isa pa sa disadvantage ng employement contract ko is hindi sagot ng company yung airfare ko to and fro Phils. during annual leave. Wala pang sagot kung sino magsshoulder ng medical insurance ko pagdating ko OZ. Can i haggle na yung airfare pag annual leave sagot ng employer? Pero yung airfare ko upon deployment sagot ni employer. Someone out there na pwede magshare ng experience na nakakuha ng employer through agency kung magkano binabayadan nila. Thank you.

Normally kase sa australia meron silang laws for employment.  Kung ano yung rights ng employee and obligation ng employer kapag nahire ka nila.  457 visa ang ibibigay nila sayo diba? try to read this link

yung airfare sa annual leave mo discretion na yun ng company na pagwoworkan mo kung isasama nila sa benefit mo pero hindi sila obligated na ibigay sayo yun kung hindi siya related sa pagstart mo ng work mo in australia or sabi nga dun sa fairwork eh kung aalis ka na ng australia.  ayun nga lang dapat yung migration cost related sa pagwork mo eh hindi mo dapat bayaran.  Sa link na binigay ko sayo, andun ang rights mo at ang obligation ng employer mo

true kaya na the better the suburb better din ang quality ng primary sa public school? thinking of putting my son sa public na coz a bit expensive sa private, 12K+ per year for kinder only.

^I don't think it's true. My sisters and I went to a public high school here in one of the working class suburbs of Sydney and maganda naman. My nieces and nephew go to a Catholic primary school, cheaper than a private school kung ayaw mo ng public. When my brother and sis-in-law had difficulty paying the school fees, they discussed it with the school and they were given a discount. Madami rin akong friends and co-workers na mga anak sa public and maganda naman kinalabasan, with some going to uni or TAFE or private colleges and having good jobs or becoming self-employed. Marami rin gumagawa na public muna for primary then catholic, christian, etc or private na sa high school.

Sa Melbourne not true. Nasa public schools mga anak ng kakilala ko and nasa mga Accelerated Classes sa High School to think public school sila nag primary. Nag eexam para mkapasok sa Accelerated Schools.

^sis vika ang mahal ng 12k tuition for kinder? when my son went to family funded kinder, $700 lang/year. (This is in regional vic) pero too much naman the difference. Now he goes to a private christian school which is $2900 AUD/anum.

Vika, that's a gross generalisation yes some good suburbs may have good public schools within their zone but some may not. Keep in mind that VIC is only second to Sydney when it comes to the cost of private education. So it can be as pricey as over $20k for VIC kindies.

12,363 is the annual fee for kinder in Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School. The school is one block lang from our place kaya we like it but it's expensive for us so we decided na sa public na lang.

hi mga sis!  Joining this thread again.  it has been awhile since i checked in GT until a friend of mine mentioned it.  that friend is also a girltalker.  Anyway, will be moving to Sydney in August, just want to make new friends.  New country new set of friends naman.  And networking na din. Vika, I think that's average-ish tuition in Melbourne. 1. It's a Grammar school and 2. It's in Melbourne (only 2nd after Sydney nga when it comes to private education as previously mentioned in this thread)

I live in SA and our daughter's wait listed in a few schools here with tuition ranging from 12k for kindy to 25k for Y12. SA's not considered as expensive as Sydney and Melbourne pa ha so I think 12k in Melbourne is equal to, I dunno, 8k? 9k? here in SA lang?

I'm not saying $12k is not a lot of money. It is. What I'm saying is - that might just be the average cost of private schooling in Melbourne.
