I'm new here. Mejo madami dami ang ibabackread ko para makahanap ng sagot sa mga tanong ko.
Pero ayun.. magbabakasakali lang ako magtanong na ng ilan. Sana may mga sasagot. 
Ganito kasi, maaassign ako sa Melbourne magwork for a year (extendable pa siya).
So, mahirap ba maghanap ng matitirhan dun na parang condo style? Magkano range halimbawa mag-isa lang ako. Wala kasi akong kakilala na mapapagtirhan so plano ko maaga pa lang mag-try na ko maghanap ng matitirahan bago ako makarating ng Melbourne. In progress na yung visa processing ko ngayon care of my company. I'm excited kasi unang onshore assignment ko ito and shempre sa Aussie pa. One of my fave countries na pangarap kong puntahan.  Sana may sumagot. Thank you in advance!

adzy, mahirap kumuha ng permanent accommodation unless andun ka na, because may selection process ang pag-rent ng units/houses. I'm not in Melbourne but probably ang range ng studio unit in the CBD area would be about at least 400 per week. Try to check out www.domain.com.au for the rental rates. I suggest kuha ka muna ng temporary accommodation via airbnb or much better to ask your employer to arrange the accommodation for you, they should help you on this.

Sa amin naman without the help of hubby's boss we will not be approved para sa bahay na nakuha namin. Medyo mahigpit selection so mas maganda meron ka kilala or at least me kakilala yung kakilala mo na real state agent. Goodluck

Hi mga sis, who are from melbourne here? I want to ask some questions regarding the primary schools. I have 2 kids, 8 and 7 years old.. How much ang tuition fees both government and private? Gusto ko lang magkaroon ng idea in case lumipat kame dyan hopefully by next year.. Wala bang mga bullies? Tia

Agree. Di mawawala ang mga bullies kahit saan. But my son who is in Secondary school (high school) here in Melbourne told me na mas madami pa daw bullies sa school nya dyan sa Pinas kesa dito. He was in Catholic all boys school before we moved here. 

@adzy, i have a friend staying melbourne CBD apartment/condo with 1 bedroom and she pays $350 per week for the rent.

@berrycherry, for government schools dito sa melbourne wala akong binayaran for my kid in primary except for the books and uniform which costs me around $300. Sa high school ko, meron lang $110 na Parent Payment plus books and uniform.  My niece in primary who is in Catholic school, they paid $1300 for the whole year.

ay naku salamat sa mga reply nyo ah, super appreciate it. ichecheck ko yung mga links na binigay nyo. Sana makahanap ako ng bahay bago ako umalis. Hindi kasi ako mahahanapan ng company ko kasi yung program assignment kung saan ako under eh, hindi sha covered ng support for my program. Hassle no? Pero meron naman akong relocation allowance kaya okay na rin siguro yun.

^No sis, di pa yun fully furnished. Chaka mura na yun $350 for CBD or near (North Melbourne, Carlton, etc)

Usually may kitchen naman, cabinets, pero walang bed, table, etc.

One option is to houseshare din if you are inclined.

At least dyan sa mga ganyan hindi ka dadaan sa rigorous selection process.

What we did was come here, stayed sa AirBNB, then saka kami naghanap ng titirhan. Maswerte kami kasi nakahanap kami agad, meron kasing Filipino family na nagbreak ng lease na kakilala namin kasi may house na sila, dun kami. Otherwise, medyo mahirap daw kung bagong dating pa lang kasi wala pang credit history. Yung copy ng employment contract yung hiningi sa amin nung property manager tapos ni-print din namin from VEVO yung proof ng 189.
