Hi girls!

Just want to ask ano experience ninyo sa Bulk Billing GPs vs Private?

Yung napuntahan ko kasing bulk billing GP parang slacker. Or maybe I can just say that because of my background. I don't know if per patient ang bayad sa kanila ng Medicare kaya sobrang mabilisan ang consult. Gusto ko lumipat sa private, wondering if better ang care, but syempre may bayad.

Hi GT sisses, both I and hubby are working in WA for 3+ years. We had completed 2 iron ore wharves at Port Hedland with MacDow company via 3/1 FIFO to the Philippines. We are accomodated by the company with free camp, meals, service and etc. I'm currently in the Phils for maternity leve and will back to work next month. We decided not to migrate to Aus with kids due to its lifestyle and culture. And since we are both working, migrating to Aus will give up my career. I may say, its good decision as we get good money having a good simple lifestyle in the Phils plus the fact that we can have a monthly vacation in the Phils for free.

^janealcayde...Anong work nyo? Actually, magandang option nga yang wag na tumira sa Australia at iuwi na lang ang dollars kc ang laki kaya ng value. Medyo mataas ang living standards dito eh. Yung isang bahay dito, pedi kang makabili ng 3 o 4 na bahay at lupa sa Pinas.

sis Antigone, sa experience ko, mas ok ang Private compared to Bulk Billing.  Mostly ng napuntahan kong bulk billing hindi ok except dun sa pinoy GP na napuntahan ko.  Sobrang okay yung Filipino GP.  Another thing with Bulk Billing, kahit nagpa-schedule ka, ang tagal mo pa din maghihintay unlike sa private GP. You have to pay nga lang sa Private GP.

We're both engineers. We're very blessed na direct hire kami ng former boss namin sa Phils. Our employer did everything on our visa requirements. For now, waiting kami sa PR approval namin which is no bearing sa amin except sa hindi ka na kukuha ng OEC. I'm planning to study sa UWA taking project management course hanggat di pa ko pinag-reretire ni husband although pwede na rin coz marami na rin siyang tickets sa oz.

Thanks sis! I went to a private GP na. Mas ok nga kasi hindi nagra-rush. Pwede din naman depende lang din sa GP. Pero never na talaga ako babalik dun sa dating bulk-billing na super slacker.

Wow, your story makes me regret applying and investing for a visa in Oz.

^ava_garde..Gaano kalayo na ba ang application nyo? If you are doing well sa Pinas and happy naman kayo, why leave Philippines? Ang take ko naman diyan, ito ay para sa mga apo at kaapo apuhan ko. Having a different passport is a ticket to more opportunities.

^brandi, you have to study further pa so you need student visa and hopefully while studying makahanap ka ng employer na magsponsor sayo to get a PR. Or apply ka ng PR visa.

Thanks sis! Ganoon nga plan ko sana. I inquired thru philamn and aureus here in ph para may tutulong sakin even pagdating doon kaso ayaw mag disclose ng mga kakilala ko na andoo na thru student visa and are now working na nakaalis under these agencies.

^What do you mean na ayaw magdisclose? You want to know how successful they are?

^how much they shelled out. Terms on paying it. Ilang % yung rate nila. After how many mos are will they start paying the loan and for how long. Yung mga ganyan sis.

Sis, why not inquire directly sa agency na nimention mo? I think it's better to talk to the agency para close to actuals yung estimate since current rates yung mabibigay nila.

Hi mga Sis,  I would like to ask if you know someone or you went the same scenario.. My mom is going here and we are planning to extend her visa so she can still stay until next year. Tourist visa siya and will be expiring on November. Do you have an idea how much it costs? and does my mom still need a return ticket even though were planning to extend her visa? Thanks!

Hi antigone! Ano yung bulk billing? And how would you know kung private yung GP? I made an appointment na sa south melbourne family clinic, $70 per person per appt. Do you think private yung GP doon?

^Yung bulk billing sis ibig sabihin sagot ng Medicare yung consult. So wala ka babayaran.  Pwede ka tawag then ask kung bulk billing yung South Melb Fam Clinic. Baka kasi $70 co-pay mo. Pag kasi bulk billing, they'll tell you na bulk billing so wala ka babayaran.

^oh, like that pala. I called our insurance (bupa) sabi since we don't have one year pa here subject for approval pa kung full refund so we have to pay muna. A bit heavy kasi lahat kaming mag-iina but okay lang basta gumaling na kami. Thank you for the reply.
