yukishih, bakit ayaw mo sa Melbourne? gusto ko pa naman sana dun 

Due to proximity reason. Darwin kasi is closer to Pinas and cheaper airfare. Kapag gusto ko umuwi hindi ganun kamahal. Hahaha. Okay dito sa Melbourne. I liked it here pero mas attractive sa akin ang mas malapit at murang pamasahe. Lol.

haha o nga, if you want to go home often, proximity nga ang priority 

how is it so far with regards to weather dyan? Yan kasi main concern ng husband ko, ayaw nya yung mga nababasa nya about weird weather in Melbourne 

is Melbourne also near to farms and beaches? kasi naiisip ko parang ideal to raise our kids there kasi i want them to experience rural and a bit of urban life. parang ang gulo ko pero yun nga, i want both to be accessible for us

Mga sis question lang po.  How is the engineering industry in Australia?  Building snd construction ang field ng hubby ko. Madami po ba work na gnun jan? Thanks sa mga sasagot

Regarding weather, dito sa melbourne napakaunpredictable. Sabi nga nila sa isang araw you can experience 4 seasons daw. Ang pinakaconcern ko dito is ang bilis lang makasunog ng balat. Sunblock talaga dapat. Sa darwin parang sa Pinas lang din.

May suburb na beach side ganun. Sa geelong maganda! Very posh ang lugar tapos waterfront ang cbd nila and may farms na malapit. West area maganda kasi bago pa lang development yung tipong maayos ang plan. i heard dun madami pinoy. i stayed 4 days sa may caroline springs maganda sya new designs for houses ganun pero beach medyo malayo. mga 20 mins drive. carry na yata yun. Sa st Kilda okay din kaso di ko feel yung old structures with grafitti. hehe. Di ko pa napuntahan yung ibang place.

Mas madami for sure inputs ibang sisses natin na matagal na dito.

Is NBI clearance needed for a tourist visa?
Medyo confused kasi ako on the requirements may nakalagay kasing police clearance.
kelangan pa ba talaga or hindi na?

^sis if i'm not mistaken for identification lang ang need kaya ask ng B.C., NBI or police......i guess my malakas na document ang NBI government issued tong mga to eh....much better lang if you can provide all...

Anyone who just applied for Permanent Residency under SkillSelect? Would it be easier to submit an interest under state nomination instead applying directly through SkillSelect? I'm a bit confused.  I wanted to convince my brother to apply here in Australia but I'm a bit skeptical with this new process, considering the large number of applications plus the costs involved. TIA

sa mga nag-migrate together with kids, were you able to arrange your kiddo's school enrolment prior to moving or talagang pagdating dyan saka pa lang pwedeng maayos ang enrolment nila? tia!

Yup, like ko geelong! Ang ganda! Hahaha. Wala lang ako nakita na pinoy nung nagpunta ako dun. Isang option namin yan if hindi kami matuloy sa darwin sa geelong na lang kami.

so malabo ang chance na makapunta kami diyan.

Dont worry sa school , anytime welcome sila specially public school sabihin mo lang new migrant. Every suburb may designated school or may school na malapit.

Dont lose hope kung gusto nyo talaga makapunta dito sa OZ maraming paraan ( wag lang thru boat)
Try to look sa employer sponsored visa 176 kung di ako nag kakamali. Then kung kaya naman makakuha dyan sa pinas ng any certification/qualification like TESDA pwede kya mag appply dun then tsaka nalang maghanap ng magandang work pag dating dito.

Marami ako kakilala mga butcher nakakuha ng permanent visa pero employer sponsored mas ok nga yun hindi ka na mahihirapan maghanap ng work pag dating mo dito

Kung engineering, sa Perth magsasawa ka...

Pero based on experience mahirap mamili ng work pag new migrant ka, you have to grab any job that is available ASAP! para makasurvive ka dito. Remember, migranting to a new country is like starting from scratch, as in zero.

@ Princess_Chill -- sis tama sila, do not lose hope, keep on trying God will lead you to where you have to be kung di talaga sayo yan gagawa ng paraan si Lord pero so situation mo try lang kayo walang masama ang mahirap iyong di mo sinubukan... more on skilled workers nga hanap nila.kahit isa lang po sa inyo mgaral muna sa TESDA if feeling mo wala talaga.
hinahanda ko na sarili ko..kelangan maging handa sa kung anong work maioffer sakin in the future para lang makasurvive ako  kelngn paghandaan ko at gagawin ko. ayaw ko naman iyong asawa ko nahihirapan kakatrabaho tapos ako wala lang...

mga sis 2 degree nakuha ko one is economics and nag 2nd course ako na culinary arts

the problem is wala pang 1 yr experience ko sa culinary arts kasi mas pinili ko mag call center here sa pinas
kasi it pays way better kaysa noong kitchen manager pa ako...since may baby na ako financially more practical na nag call center ako kaysa sa culinary...

pero like ko talaga i pursue culinary ko kasi mas masaya ako e...

^ baka naman pwede ka mag TAFE muna, go through the student way in Aus. Madami akong kilala na ganun ang ginawa kasi di sila pwede dun sa skilled immigrant.
