^sis sa Singapore kami when his company applied for him. From application til ilagay yung visa sticker sa passports naming inabot 3 months. the company had to prove hindi sila makahanap ng Aussie na gagawa ng work niya,he's with Chevron in the US so baka kaya mabilis. Not sure.

^ I'm a nurse sis eh at hindi ako nag-wo-work kasi may baby. Perth life? BORING.as in. Having lived in UAE and SG hindi cosmopolitan ang place na to.Nung unang dating naming shops are closed by 5pm yun pala kasi 8am lag bukas na and ayaw nila ng 2 shifts. It's changing slowly, now, a year later, some shops do stay open for Thursday or Friday til 9 pm. Nasa CBD kami kasi when my hubby is in the city 3 minute walk lang yung offices nila from our apartment building. prices are 2-3x as much as in the US so I don't do much of my shopping here, I buy from the US (Mostly Amazon) . To prove to you how expensive things are, a 500ml bottle ng Coke is 3 AUD, coffee is anywhere from 4-8 AUD;a bottle of water is 3 AUD; Mc Donald's meal (meaning burger+chips+drinks) hindi bababa ng 10 AUD ( I seldom eat Mcdonalds ,correct me na lang if I'm wrong fellow GT from Perth). If you're the nature tripping sort and you're always outdoors, I think hindi ka naman mauubusan ng mapupuntahan. Pag may babies and toddlers not so much options other than library+ parks (not all parks have play equipments for smaller kids, mostly for 4 and up lang). I went to one indoor play space hoping it's like Gymboree but my God, andumi, maagiw! Hindi ko na inulit ang experience na yon. Ayoko ihalo si baby ko sa mga bata dito andudumi nila eh hahahaha karamihan hindi naliligo pag lumabas sa umaga (I think sa gabi ang ligo nila dito).Thankfully we're ok on a single income.

hi sis bluegintonic, been there in Perth last year for a business trip.  1 week lang ako pero ang impression ko nga medyo boring yung place.. hehe!  Kasi, pumunta kami sa may Fremantle, past 6 pa lang sarado na ang mga shops.  Pero it's a nice place, super clean diba?  Hopefully I can go there again this year.

During the Visa application (planning to apply as skilled sponsored visa 190) required po ba ng police clearance from the countries you worked with?  Like for example i have worked in the UAE and now in Malaysia? or yung current country lang?

hi sis brevity, yup required ang police clearance s country you're residing for, i think, a year or so. at need mo rin yun from your birth country.

we have invited to apply for a visa n (190 - south australia ss) last december 31. we're not able to lodge yet because of several unexpected expenses. i'd be lodging this feb 4. wish us luck mga forumers.

^ sis, you may want to read this, from immi.gov.au :

Australian Citizenship Act 2007  Residence Requirements 

To satisfy the residence requirements you must have:
• 4 years lawful residence in Australia. This period must include 12 months as a permanent resident immediately before making an application for Australian citizenship
and
• absences from Australia of no more than 12 months in total in the 4 years prior to application, including not more than 90 days in the 12 months immediately prior to application.

Lawful residence means residence in Australia on a temporary or permanent visa.
