anyhow, looking kami for a room/accommodation to rent sa WA, preferably near the city this coming Nov 2012. kung meron kayong kakilala sa Perth who has a spare room and is willing to have it rented out, pa-refer naman mga sisses. it will be for hubby nga pala.

hi sisses..hingi lang ako ng advice..
me and my husband decided to migrate to Australia. hubby will be the principal applicant. nsa SOL naman yung profession namin. we are both in the IT field (programmers) with 5 years experience. merong relative si hubby dun kaso 1st cousin lang nya. based sa mga nabasa ko eto yung mga steps na dapat namin gawin.
1) magpa-assess ng skill
2) kuha kami both ng ielts exam
3) apply for visa? any suggestion what type is best for us?

Just had the time to visit again.

@yukishih, I have a 4.5 year old boy. Medyo struggle balancing work life and family life pero ok naman. We are surviving kahit wala kaming extended family. Child care fees are expensive though kung wala kang ka-alternate sa pag-alaga sa toddler mo at high chances na magkasakit (usual sipon, ubo at lagnat) sa child care in the first 6 months especially during winter.

@aprilcruise, From what I know, the skilled migrant visa processing has changed. Meron ng Expression of Interest.

This is very different to when I applied 6 years ago.

meron ba dito nakapagtry na magsubmit ng EOI. I guess before magsubmit ng EOI nakapagpa-assess na ng skills and may ielts result na for proof.

mga sis ask ko lang kung san nagpapa certified true copy ng passport, transcript of records, CoE and iba pang papers needed for assessment ng skills?

ask ko na rin kung alam nyo yung mga kailangan kapag affidavit ang isusubmit instead of coe kasi yung 1st company ko ayaw magbigay. ang meron lang ako na coe na galing sa kanila e yung binibigay after resignation which includes the name, position and period kaso hindi na updated yung letter head (company details) like address and contact number kasi lumipat sila.

as for company letterhead na hindi na updated, oks lang yun.
yung isang company ko nga dati totally nagsara na. aside dun sa normal na start-end date lang na nakukuha na COE, as much evidence na lang ni-submit ko. like training certificates...
ano magagawa ko di ba, eh nagsara na... hehe.

kung hindi ka makahingi sa hr ng COE, try mo sa dati mong amo/supervisor.. i-honor rin nila yun as long as using the company's letterhead.

lalagay ko sana yung duties and responsibilities tapos papipirmahan ko dun dati ko kaopis sa company na yun. tapos isasama ko yung COE na nakuha ko sa kanila tapos inote ko na lang na bago na yung address and contact detail

anybody tried getting the partner visa for australia? my fiance is british and australian citizen and we would like to get the partner visa for me after the wedding so i can go in and out of australia. it seems very easy and simple sa website that he checked but i need feedback from people who did it too. thanks!

Hi! actually I'm new on this thread.... I had a problem with COE yung present company [textspeak!] sa UAE ko will not give me the detailed COE I submitted the Statutory declaration with supporting docs accepted nman cya by Engineers australia I got a +ive assessment and Tinggap din ng DIAC

adjusting in everything. culture is different kasi kaya expected na yun. i have a son with me tapos si hubby kasi naiwan pa ng pinas so grabeng adjustment. kapag icompare mo sobrang sarap ng buhay dyan sa atin talaga. im not here to discourage ha. gusto ko na umuwi talaga kasi alam mo yon stranger ako sa place. bilang lang ang kilala ko and di ko pa din sila nakikita. sabi nga nila sa akin dito may future dyan mahirap magkafuture daw. maganda ang place kaso nasanay lang kasi ako sa comfortable life sa atin. ang self esteem ko dito below ground level. hahaha. helpless ako dito. basta sis, go ka sa decision mo. iba iba naman tayo ng perception about things. be ready lang kapag andito ka na kasi syempre hindi madali makapunta dito. maraming moolah ang need kaya pag isipan mabuti.

Relax ka muna sis. Siguro kelangan mo lang balik-balikan yung reason kung bakit ginusto mong pumunta dyan para magkaroon ka ng inspiration. Think long term. Your child will most benefit from your efforts now. Student ka sis d ba? Mahirap ba mag aral dyan? Sinong nagbabantay kay baby?

@sis miggs, you're right. i have to objective. sabi nga nung friend ko dito malalagpasan ko din to. im under student visa. hindi kasama sa option ko ang umuwi for good. hahaha.

After expression of interest, next step is lodging the immigrant application right? How long does it take to get approved?

hi sis!  We're planning to migrate din in Oz tonight basa ako ng basa ng mga requirements hilong hilo na nga ako. Kailangan major major ang ganda ng Expression of Interest mo para ma nominate tayo jan.

Hi, plan din namin ni hubby to migrate to Oz. Nagsubmit n kami ng aming documents to an agency. The agency was recommended to me by an officemate na asa Oz n rin ngayon with her family. Mas convenient daw kasi if you go through an agency. I am an accountant while my husband is an engineer. Upon initial assessment nila we were both qualified n maging principal applicant. So this coming friday punta kami agency to talk about kung sino samin ni hubby ang magiging principal applicant. Pero mas gusto ko na si hubby ang maging principal applicant.
