^Kelangan mag-moisturize even if oily ang skin. Let the moisturizer settle before applying foundation.

^nag-ooxidize ang foundation not because of contact with water but contact with skin na acidic or in some cases, pag nag-blend ang oil ng skin sa foundation.

sis, i suggest you use primer or mattifying spray to control your oil production. ganyan din ang prob ko.

Most of the time, extra step nalang ang primer, hindi naman yan kaylangan talaga. :)

girl ask ko lang is the elf eye primer works on you? I tried kasi din an elf product na concealer, but I don't really like the effect on me.. pfft.. It's cheap though. :)))

Hi mga sis! I just wanna share my knowledge about make ups since nag mmake up din ako sa ibang tao.
If you're a newbie to make ups, start with the basics.
Find a good Liquid foundation, a press powder, concealer, finishing powder, a blush, eyelash curler, eyeliner, eyebrow and eyeshadow, highlighter and lip balm. It sounds alot but these are just basics.
If you have "very oily" skin, apply primer or oil control toner, if you have "oily skin- combination" you can just skip the primer. Then apply liquid foundation whatever best for you. If you have rough skin, use a stippling brush or also known as flat top brush. you can buy a cheaper (generic) version in landmark stores. Apply in dabbing motion especially on rough area. You can also use a cheap triangle sponge, tear it in half then use that rough area to blend foundation in dabbing motion. If you have smooth skin you can use your finger or a foundation brush to blend. After that wait for atleast a minute before you apply concealer. Use a q tip or a lip brush (for dents and for precision) to apply concealer to your dark spots. Note: use cream type concealer for spots, liquid type concealer for under the eye. After the application of the concealer apply the pressed powder using a puff and just dab and press DO NOT swipe then just sweep away the excess. dont put too much powder because it will cause caking. The reason why you can just skip the primer if you have just "oily-combination" skin is because you can just use a rice powder to set make up and to avoid excess oil. you can buy this in any beauty bar store for 300+ only. Dash a bit on the Tzone then sweep away excess. Now your base make up is prepared.
To start with the eye make up, if youre a newbie always start with a more neutral colors. DONT use blue eyeshadow or green. If you have the chinita look, don't let the eyeshadow pass above your crease. if you have visible crease, usedarker tone on the crease and lighter on the whole lid then blend. If you want to elongate your eyes, use a darker color like black or dark brown on the outer V of your eyes but always follow the shape of your eyes. Follow the angle of your lower lash line upward, then blend it inward. Always apply highlighter on the brow bone. For the eyebrows always start on the outer area using an angled brush and an eyeshadow lighter than your hair for a more natural look. apply it up to the arch of the brows then blend the rest inward to make a gradient effect. Follow your natural eyebrow shape. For the eyeliner always start on the mid part of the lid outward then just draw a thinner line from inner corner to the mid lid. For the blush, dont apply it while you smile because it will make you look old and saggy. after blush apply a dash of highlighter atleast 2 tones lighter than your skin on the nose bridge, top of the cheek bone, and top of the brows for a glowing look. then apply lip balm and lipstick. Note: DONT use dark lipstick and too mush blush if you have dark eyeshadow and vice versa. Always keep it balanced and have 1 focused part only DONT use too much colors.  Hope this helps :*

What's the difference between a face powder/foundation powder (tama ba?) and setting powder? Kelan sila ginagamit? When I do make up I only use yung two way cake foundation e.

for liquid foundation it's a MUST na magset ka kasi mahuhulas yung foundation mo na liquid/creme if di mo sinet. dun ginagamit yung setting powder/face powder. lighter sila, yung iba nga translucent so di naman mukhang todo heavy makeup mo. yung iba ang ginagamit nilang setting powder is also powder foundation, for added coverage, ok lang yun kung yun ba feel nila eh. :)

yung two way cake, it's "two way" kasi you can use it wet (with wet sponge) or dry. :)

^^Basically if the foundation you are using has a dry finish, you still can, but you don't need to use setting powder anymore. You only need to use it on top of your liquid/cream foundation. As for the difference naman between setting powder and foundation, setting powder only helps in making your makeup last longer, but it doesn't really give coverage. So if it's coverage that you want, go for foundation.  ;)

I always have a hard time using brush/sponge for liquid foundation so I use my fingers. I'm still having problems re putting eye shadow though. Need to practice more. Shocks, I have to buy eye primer pala talaga. That's what I missed. ;D
