if you want a cheaper tablet option, try blackberry playbook 32g. it went on sale last black friday for cn$118 + tax, [textspeak!] mas mura in the USA. meron pa option to buy the keypad kung hirap ka sa touch screen.

so far, it has been very salable this christmas as gifts for children/pre-teens.

ipad mini costs around CN328 + tax and its not any better than the bigger ones.

If wala pa siyang laptop, baka useful na laptop na lang or netbook. Mas mura pa yun lalabas sa ipad.

Pwede pang presentation yung ipad, pero depende yun kung ano projector sa school. Kailangan din ng adaptor at presentation app.

If tablet talaga, might want to check kung palabas na yung windows 8 tablets. May office apps na yun at least and DLNA.

Thanks mga sis na nag reply. Desktop lang ang gamit nila sa bahay. I thought of buying him IPAD kasi parang ang gaan pero yun nga parang hindi ganun ka useful sa mga students although my nephew is more on doing research than doing a presentation. Will check na lang yung sabi mo sis monbla pero baka masyado pang expensive yun since papalabas pa lang

^sis feedback naman, need ko rin bumili kase yung mama ko gusto bilhan pamangkin ko, awang-awa nung pasko kase yung mga pinsan puro may Ipad, tapos nakiki laro lang sabi ko pwede namang wala nun baka maka epekto pa sa school & eyes nung bata, 5 years old pa lang yun, sa house lang daw namin nya papagamit pag nagpupunta dun...mga lola talaga

So far ok naman siya. Mabilis ang browsing even on the free public wi-fi at Robinson's Galleria. OK din ang sensitivity ng screen.

Nainggit si boyfriend, bibili din dapat kahapon kaso the Php3700 tablets are already out of stock. Ang available na lang is yung tig Php4600 na mas malaki ang memory.

We got a Coby 10inch for our textbooks.   Medyo nahihirapan kasi kami mag transfer ng files using iTunes eh.  Magulo ang syncing.

We need a tablet for reading books.  And so we got the Coby.

So far,  okay sha.  For reading,  merong Adobe reader and meron ding bulit in na Aldiko. 
Sa browser,  shempre hindi sha kasing bilis ng mga more expensive tabs.  Pero workable na.  Not bad.

Touchscreen is good,  too.  Nag install ng sample si hubs ng Angry Birds and very impressed kami sa responsiveness ng screen.  Not great resolution pero okay sha. 

Hindi pa namin na peepeel off ang plastic seal so gaganda pa siguro ang resolution nya pag nilagyan ng screen protector.

Ano pa bang feedback... meron shang official leather case na php999 available sa coby booths mismo.  Red,  Black and Brown. 

What we like most about it isnt really the surfing.  Kasi we wont surf with it naman much.
It is the easy transfer ng files.  Drag and drop lang sha kasi.  Plus,  nakakabasa sha ng external hard drive namin na 500gig.  You cant do that sa IPAD.  Hassle ang transfer and copy of files pag apple eh.   Suplada sha.  hehe...

If you have movies na 1080p sa memory stick mo,  naku, pwede ka watch movies in HD.   

So far,  okay sha.  No glitches.

SIguro magkakatalo na lang sa durability.  Si hubs lang ang gumagamit nito,  because i bring the laptop around.  SO I would think hindi naman sha mashado masisira agad.  Maingat naman si hubs.  He doesnt play much games naman eh.  Reading lang talaga.

Medyo mabigat sha,  actually,  eh.  Pero oks lang talaga.  Not a big deal.  Pang kalong or pang office lang naman.

Walang tyaga kasi si Hubs mag iTunes.  AYaw din nya mag conver convert pa ng files into kung [textspeak!] anong types.  Gusto nya talaga,  drag and drop,  plug and play.

Not very sure sa efficiency ng browsing properties nito ha.   Hubs and I dont use it much for online stuff kasi.  Pero sure ako that it works. 

Pang reading pdf and ebook skasi talaga namin sha kaya ito ang pinili namin.

Asus nexus 7. Okay sya for its price and specs. Gusto ko nga bumili nito, but settled with ipad mini. Nagagandahan ako sa apps ng apple kasi.

Kung games lang naman, the MID android tabs, Coby, etc that you can buy from 3,999 up are ok. Just don't expect iPAD and Samsung tab features in a tab priced like that. Ang nababasa ko lang na neg sa Coby, yung incompatibility sa Google Play ba yun (sorry na, hindi techie hehe)
