buy only from bank repossessed cars

1.  depreciated na ang price according sa taon at mileage ng car
2.  sure ka na casa maintained kapag sinabing casa maintained since banks would also get the car maintenance record before repossessing the car
3.  sigurado ka na hindi nabaha ang car.  nilalagay kasi sa history ng car kung nabaha ba sya
4.  sigurado ka na hindi nakaw
5.  lower rates

^just visit any bank website, then you can find there repossessed cars for bidding and also foreclosed properties usually under Assets. Sometimes they schedule an auction for those and it's as is where is basis, so you need to do your own due diligence before bidding.

yes mas mababa sila compared sa mga dealers... PS Bank ang nakita kong pinaka-mababa ang appraisal sa mga re-po cars nila

kaylangan kasi nilang mabenta agad ang car para mabawi ang price na binayad nila sa car sales company versus the depreciation of the car as it goes older sa backyard.

So far kasi these are what I see advertised, which would you choose in order of preference?

Model 1990-1999? Honda Civic!

a Kia or Hyundai with that model date is almost worthless... 2013 na ngayon. a 1990 car is already 23yrs old.  Kung tao yan, may asawa't anak na.

i sold my 1996 Honda Civic for only 95k...

we're selling our car (2007 model), yung nabili namin pagkastart ng thread na to. we're getting a higher model para mas matagal magagamit. hubby is already eyeing on Honda Civic 2010 or 2011 model.

My reason for buying a cheap (kaya old) car is I'm still a newbie driver. So for practice and in case mabangga, also to learn how to take care of a car and hopefully cheap parts (like Toyota/Kia) and then pamana ko sa kapatid ko pagmarunong na rin sya. Or I could just resell it to get a better car if sanay na talaga ako and pag may budget na rin.

The higher the value of displacement, the higher power your engine has.

Malakas ang hatak ng mas mataas na displacement.

sis pag ganyan model pwede pa i-finance ng bank. Im planning din to get a honda city 2010 or 2011 model im thinking lang baka mahal ang maintenance since 2nd hand na siya.

Ako rin I'm currently on the lookout for a second hand car. Budget is between 300-350K. I'd really like a Honda Jazz sana, kasi maliit lang. Kaya lang sa mga nabo-browse ko, mahirap makahanap ng 2007 model and up na pasok sa budget.

Btw, I've taken up driving lessons (for a manual car) since time immemorial but I never got to drive. Naka-apat na yata ako na student permit. Nahihirapan talaga ako sa timpla timpla sa manual, idagdag pa na luma na yung pinagpapraktisan ko. The other car I wouldn't want to drive kasi Innova na.

So, I was thinking baka may pag-asa naman ako sa automatic. Gusto ko naman sana magdrive bago ako mag 30. Yun nga lang, mas malakas daw talaga sa gas ang A/T diba? So this is also one of my considerations. Kaya gusto ko rin sana yung maliit lang para mas tipid. At Honda sana.

Ano-anong banks ba maganda tumingin ng repossessed cars? Tingin niyo ba may 2007 and higher model ng Honda Jazz na pasok sa binigay kong budget?

sis, not all A/T cars are malakas sa gas. if the engine is between 1.6 to 2.0, then malakas sa gas talaga. my bro has a honda city A/T 1.3, di naman siya namumulubi sa gas. SUVs ang malakas sa gas kasi mas malaki ang engine nila...

But for the same size/make of car... lalabas na mas malakas ang automatic kaysa sa manual.

While it is definitely correct to say that bigger cars consume more, comparing SUV to to a honda city is like comparing a big apple to a small orange.
