^ Civic servant kasi ang pumatay sa fisherman. Understandable naman what the Taiwanese leaders want, isang joint investigation at apology from the president. Ang problema lang naman dito, yung uncivilized reaction nung ilan sa mga Taiwanese (which puts our fellow Filipinos there in danger), yun yung overkill. Gatungan pa yan ng mga violent reaction ng mga kababayan natin; below the belt din na sabihan sila na part sila ng China while they do not want it.

The arrogance from these said Taiwanese people would have been at least lessened if not avoided kung mas konti ang nagtatrabaho dun. PNoy and the other government officials failed to do measures for those growing number of OFWs.

In any organization, institution or company naman, if there is a member who did something gravely wrong, it's the leader who's held accountable, hence Taiwan asking for PNoy's apology.

^ Exactly sis. This is a world where too much pride will get us nowhere, and whoever owns the waters the fisherman was is already out of the question -- there is the fact that a person was killed by a public servant, intentional or not.

So it is also an admission na mali yung civil servant natin? Or the apology is for the lost life?  Hindi naman siguro intentional ang pagpatay.. :

^ Syempre naman, mali ang servant natin sa pagpatay dun sa fisherman. Taking lives unnecessarily is never right. But it doesn't mean that he did it intentionally. Mali rin naman yung Taiwan to call the incident a "cold-blooded murder" kasi di naman planado yung pagpatay eh. (But again, he already did. No idea why they rejected the apology)

It's just like saying "Pasensya na po, we will look into the matter."

^^^^Sa akin, apology for the loss of life; it's the decent thing to do. Then follow-up with an investigation. If the evidence shows na tama naman ang ginawa nating pag-defend, hindi naman ikakababa ng pagkatao natin o ng pangulo ang apology. Otherwise (as what the Taiwanese claim na their satellite shows the boat wasn't in our territory), e di mabuting nakapag-apologize bago pa mapatunayan ang pagkakamali.

Idk if this is the proper thread to post this, pero I was thinking na diba accomplishment ni Noynoy ang pagkakaimpeach ni Corona, so therefore, accomplishment rin nya ang pagkakalagay ni Sereno?hehe

Pero ano na naman itong balita na ito, mukhang marami nang blunders si Sereno as CJ..nakakahiya, mismong mga kapwa Justices nya, pinapagalitan sya for tampering a TRO This is not the first time na nangialam sya diba?
