Pinagmamalaki nila na mataas ang economy ngayon. Do we really owe it to him o sa mga taong dahil sa sobrang inis na sa current situation ng bansa e nagsipag-abroad na lang to work there and nagpapadala ng dollars dito, helping our economy to boost? I believe we owe it to them kasi mataas ang dollar remittance ngayon kaya mataas ang peso natin.

mataas ang economy? Does it translate to more employment?   Tumaas ba spending power ng mga tao?  Tumaas ba ang sweldo?

Asan ang mataas na economiya kung wala namang improvement pamumuhay ng mga tao?

IMO, he's just reaping the benefits out of the past administration's efforts. i don't really like the way he leads. parang naging mas "wild" and "bobito" mga Pinoys during his administration.

ay naku. Look at how he's mishandling the incident with Taiwan now. Taiwan is seriously considering a backlash (no visa processing for ofws, cancelled trade agreements, etc.). To think Taiwan has more trade agreements with Phil than china ha. Ano ba naman ang mag apologize ka in behalf of Phil and will say lang na there will be an investigation re the case to appease the Taiwanese sentiment para matapos. pero sa china rift, mild nga lang din yung action nya dun. Parang takot sa china. Remember sa ASEAN meeting, it's his opportunity to have a serious discussion with the Chinese president, pero pinagusapan ba nila? Hindi. Wala daw appointment re the discussion sabi ng china.

i just don't get it kung bakit gusto ng president ng Taiwan na si Abnoynoy ang mag apologize. i mean c'mon, was he the one who shot that Taiwanese fisherman down? no naman diba. baliw din tong Taiwan eh. for once, wag naman tayong magpaka puppet sa ibang bansa. let's hold our chin up naman. kaya madami sa pilipinas ang lumalaking bobo eh. pinapangunahan lagi ng emosyon, nagiging useless ang utak.

So true. I  feel sad para sa kababayan natin sa Sabah na parang binalewala lang ng administration. And nakakainis yung sinasabi nila na nagawa na nila lahat.

well some taiwanese analyst say that the president of Taiwan stood up for the Taiwanese fisherman bilang pagpapapogi sa mga constituents niya kasi bagsak siya sa ratings. and what a heroic way nga to increase his ratings than to use emotional tactics diba. sad lang na he's doing that at our country's expense.

kahit naman pagbalibaliktarin ang mundo, yung Taiwanese fisherman ang mas may kasalanan. we are just trying to protect our territory. para naman di na lang tayo lagi naaagawan diba.

bottomline, for me, wag magsorry si Noynoy. it's high time naman for us to stand up for ourselves.

^ I definitely agree. Most of them fishermen are also illegal poachers that destroy the environment; Chinese and Taiwanese alike. I remember a barangay tanod in Palawan saying na may nakakalbo nang coral reef sa may Palawan dahil sinira na nila just to fish. Where are these environmental activists when we need them the most?

PNoy already did what he must do; he extended his apology to them in behalf of us Filipino people already, and asked the NBI to investigate on what really happened. If you'd ask me, overkill na ang ginagawa ng mga Taiwanese to harass our brethren working there. What else does the Taiwanese government want?

Ang medyo nakakainis lang, in times na na-aagrabyado tayo ng ibang bansa (in case of Malaysia, China, Saudi and Taiwan), our government has to apologize and to kiss the aggressor's a**. Kesyo daw pauwiin at ihaharass ang mga kababayan natin if they don't. We cannot stand on our own eh.

Sana man lang magkaroon ng policies na magpapababa ng operational costs at mag-aabolish ng 60/40 rule para dito na sa Pinas mag-invest ang mga companies at di na kailangang umalis ng bansa ang mga kababayan natin para magtrabaho, which PNoy and the lawmakers failed to do. This concern has been forwarded many times yet this keeps on falling into deaf ears.

Although I admired the Taiwanese for defending the fisherman, at first I was against the idea of us apologizing because there really is nothing to apologize. Because they were within our territory! But later realized na fine, buhay yung nawala so sorry. Pero to demand more from us and bully us in this way is annoying na. And tama, PNoy already did what he can do. May 6pm deadline pa silang nalalaman tapos di rin tatanggapin. For me this is just and still a joke that China is playing on us. The Taiwanese president is a firm supporter of the One China Policy.

Anyway all of these are allegations pa lang.

As for PNoy, I really understand the tough situation he is in. Kahit ako maaalangan ako kasi I have to take into consideration the OFWs working there. However, this situation is also due to his complacency; he was gloating over the growing economy due to the OFWorkforce's remittances and growing number of tourists without thinking of the what-ifs.

^ and yet if sumunod tayo sa gustong mangyari ng Taiwan, mas nagiging weaker nation tayo. which is exactly why i am against the idea of abnoynoy saying sorry to Taiwan. yes, i get it. Taiwan is richer and more progressive than us. pero wag naman natin sila ilagay sa pedestal at tayo ang lalagay sa ilalim. so you mean to say na if i'm rich tapos you're poor i have the right na to belittle you and boss you around?
