UTI FOR BABY

Hi mga mommies my babies diagnose that she has a UTI.. di ko maintindihan kung bakit nagkaroon sya nun.. malinis naman ako lagi ko naman pinapalitan yung diaper nya, sa paglilinis naman pababa naman ang ginagawa ko at yun din ang bilin ko sa yaya ko.. di ko pa rin alam kung bakit nagkaroon pa rin sya.. ano pa kayang iba pang cause kung bakit nagkaroon pa rin ng UTI ang baby ko.. ibig sabihin kasi may mali pa rin sa ginagawa namin routine sa baby ko.. pls help mga mommies..  thanks

sis every when ka nag change ng diaper? i mean ilan hours tumatagal ang isang diaper sayo?

stay at home mom. sis, u cant rely on your yaya. minsan kahit anobg turo mo pag wala ka di nila susundin. for now pa check mo na si baby and change nappies every 3-4 hours

try mo just use lampin, its inconvenient but more hygienic in the long run. Sometimes naman for babies who's diagnosed with uti more than once pedias recommend an ultrasound just to check the KUB. My baby has this problem with her ureter that is why she was recommended to take prophylaxis until she was 6 months.

^ sis how old is your baby. You may want to check the number of diapers used everytime you are out para pag uwi mo mabibilang mo kung tuwing ilang hrs napapalitan sya. Ipatabi mo lang sa isang container. Tsaka totoo minsan kahit anung turo sa yaya minsan hindi nasusunod...

My 2nd baby was diagnosed with uti when he was 4mos old. Sinisi ko sa huggies nun kasi may nakita ako na defective sa bag na yun then nag fever sya bigla bigla Er kami. Urinalysis then uti nga. During stay sa hospital ultrasound is next to check on the urinary tract and organs. If ok, option to consult sa specialist. Known dr yung pinuntahan namin.
They want to make a procedure on the baby to check if there's any reflux sa weewee. Minsan daw kasi congenital yun. May parang dye na iinject etc etc... Then circumsized. We didnt go with any of the procedure. Natakot kami though we were told na pwede ma damage ang kdibeys ifthere's any reflux talaga kasi small pa organs nila. After that uti, sa awa ng Dyos yun lang una at huli. He's 3yrs old.

Now, i have a 3month old baby. New pedia. He's really good. When he checked the skin of my bunso's tintin, masyado daw close and may cases na uti patients nya with that skin. Naalala ko tuloy na dun sa eldest ko maluwag skin, and sa 2nd ko na nagka uti masikip nga same as my bunso.

@mom.of.inchikoy turning 10mos na yung baby ko nakakatakot pala. kala ko simpleng uti lang na madadaan sa antibiotic pero hindi pala.. sige try ko yung sinsabi mo na lahat ng used diaper ipapatabi ko sa isang container.. at isa pa iiask ko yan sa pedia tungkol sa reflux.. thank you so much sis ah.. sana talga di na maulit eto..

softdrink i.e, coke can be the cause of uti. watch nalang din baby's fluid intake. get well soon!

yes mom of inchikoy is right, my baby nag test cya for reflux kasi congenital nga yun, thank god ok result iba naman kasi problem niya. since prone cya sa uti prophylaxis until 6months then now by Gods grace maayos naman so far since stop prophylaxis ( low dose antibiotic)

if boy at palaging may uti at wala naman reflux, sasabihin sa inyo mommies ipa circumcise na c baby. it happened to my son 3yrs ago. minsan kase maliit un butas ng labasan ng wiwi. if palagi un occurence ng uti consult Dr. Bolong.

^ kay dr bolong din kami nag pa consult... sa sobrang busy nga nya consultation sa operating room para sa ibang patiend nandun lang kami sa parang waiting area sa PCMC. mas mahirap daw kasi sya ma sched sa ibang hospitals and mas mura sya sa pcmc.

kasi naman, when we asked kung ano gagawin after ng procedure, isusuggest pa din daw nya na i-circumsize si baby. so para samin, ng time na yun parang mas ok na ipa circumsize na lang si baby nun to less the stress ma experience ng baby namin.

pero totoo when i checked the skins mag kaiba yung sa eldest and sa 2nd ko. now sa 3rd son ko, when he had his 1st check up with his pedia (dr herbie uy), may term sya for the skin na masikip daw. it needs to be pulled down para lumuwag daw everyday for 6months. kasi yun daw ang common cause ng uti for baby boys w/ skin na ganun. after 3 months, nag improve naman na daw. kasi medyo napaparanoid ako kasi yung 2nd ko na nag ka uti he was only 4mos then. pero mabuti hindi na naulit after nun...

Hi mga mommies share ko lang po. nagfollow-up check up kami ng baby ko kahapon and thank god okey na si baby di na mataas ang pus cell nya... pero kapag daw naulit na magka uti sya may gagawin na raw na procedure na kailangan na daw ipaultra sound.. hay sana di na talga maulit mahirap at nakaktakot.kaya ngayon  sobrang careful na ako..

Mga sis, saan niyo pinacircumcise si baby nung nagkaUTI? Gusto din namin ipacircumcise baby ko ayoko na maulit UTI niya eh.

Naku nagkaganito ang son ko when he was a baby. Nabababad ng yaya ang poopoo at wiwi niya sa diaper ang tgal bago palitan. Nag 40 deg ang temp niya tas tumirik ang mata god the worse experience ever. KAya ever since nun pagkawiwi palit agad diaper. Tsaka di kami nagbabalik ng diaper after washing. Ang dami kong nakikita na mga mommies na pagkatapos remove diaper binabalik pa. Wag ganun mga sis kahit pa natuluan lang nga wiwi or patak yan pakipalitan na. Basta pag wash ng sensitive part palit na agad diaper.

Sa tuli naman there are times na kahit tuli na nung baby bumabalik pa yan pag tanda. Mas prone ang girls sa uti kesa sa boys. Kasi malapit ang anus sa vagina. Always keep the area clean..

JUst this morning napansin ko nagsshiver ang baby ko. And I was wondering why, siguro in two hours mga 5x naulit. and I am bit worried kase baka sign yun na may UTI sya. Paurinalysis ko na lang muna.

My daughter had a bad case of UTI late last year. She had a regular cough, cold and wasn't eating, visited a back-up pedia, he said it was viral lang. That night she developed a fever and vomitted, the next morning her fever was at 41 na! I panicked and brought her to the ER immediately. They had her confined with IV as she couldn't even keep water down, she was dehydrated. Antibiotics were administered via IV too. We ended up staying in the hospital for 5 days and I was 36 weeks preggy with my son at the time. It was really stressful.

We don't know what the cause is, she doesn't wear diapers during the day anymore. It could be that she wasn't drinking enough water or was holding her pee in.
