ACCEPTANCE na lang my dear, it's the only thing talaga that will set you free.

You deserve someone better, learn to read the signs also. Maybe God let it happen because he wanted you to have a better life than suffer.
Besides, do you always want to feel that way na ambigat ng puso lagi? of course not.

Isa pa, mas marami na worse relationships/situations compared to yours. Make yourself busy with work or activities you have not tried before. Yung new
experiences. Only then you will realize that there is really more to life :-)

A player can change. Kelangan lang nya mameet yung girl who would want to make him give up his ball. I know this for a fact because one of my bestfriends, dati pinagsasabay nya limang babae. But now, he's with a girl he is very much in love with. And he has plans of marrying her na. Nung una I found it hard to believe. Kasi nga kilalang-kilala ko sya. But after observing him for a few months, talagang nakita ko na di na sya tumitingin sa iba.

Well I don't know if totoong once a player, always a player. But here are my thoughts:

If you give the relationship a chance, would you want him to change? Because as I see it you are expecting him to change, or at least hoping. And then pag hindi sya nagbago? What does that leave you? No woman can ever change a man. He will change if he wants to, maybe for you and for himself, but don't expect that change to happen just because you're *hoping* he'd change.

So I guess my advice is to just enjoy the ride, and eventually if he doesn't match your values as a person, leave.

A player will eventually meet his match na makakapagpa-"tiklop" sa kanya. A friend of mine is someone who can be categorized as a player. Then he met a girl who is totally not his type pa nga but according to him, tiklop sya sa girl na yun and made him want to change for the better. They probably keep playing the game because they have yet to score a home run.

I agree na a player will always be a player. I'm not that heartless naman. And when i go into flings every emotion i put is real, nothing's fake.

^Hello dear. I am doing great na. I'm pregnant and met a great guy. I am not saying he is perfect but we love each other and at the same time we have the same goals and aspirations in life. He is very responsible and matured. The guy I mentioned here on the thread, well we never clicked. I figured out ayaw kong magtake ng risk considering ang dami "signs" that he will only hurt me in the long run- which was true because napag-alaman ko na dalawa pala kaming pinupursue niya noon. Eventually, he hooked up with the girl, kaso I heard that their relationship is not so smooth at all. He's in the states na and I think my sugar mommy pa siya doon. I heard it from my friend who recently flew there to have a vacation- the same friend who warned me against him before. So yes, I made the right decision, though honestly letting him go gave me a lot of what ifs before (though then I really had no idea that he is sort of a chronic player talaga). I don't know but the way I see it, he is not yet ready to settle down I guess. Maybe he'll change when he will meet yung katapat niya or maybe he won't. Anyway, my kutob was right, and now I am very much happy with my fiance.

Hi, I'm Ana and I'm new so hello  :)

I know it's late but I am so happy that you didn't choose the player guy. What girls don't understand is that our lives are not like the movies that it will only take one special girl for a guy to change their ways because in real life, plyers don't believe in fairytales just like we do thus they believe in hookups... with many different girls.

Anyw, I'm really happy that you found a matured man for you. I wish you all the happiness in the world. :)

^Thank you dear. By the way, I am now married and my baby girl will turn 1 in a few months time. The guy I mentioned, well I guess he wasn't meant for me. To all ladies here, don't ever settle less. Have faith. God will bring you the right man, in His perfect time.

A player will always be a player. Not worth it to risk that thing na ikaw makakapagpabago sa kanya.

My BF just left me without any word. I didn't know why or if merong iba pero.. I know the reason why nagbreak sila ng ex nya is because of another girl din. Pero tinuloy ko pa rin.

So I guess alamin muna kung may history ng cheating yung guy bago ka makipagrelasyon. Learned this the hard way.

Life, and relationships , unfold like an onion -- by layers.
You don't get from Pt.A to Pt.Z without going through some letters.  Maybe not all letters in between -- but definitely, some letters in between.

What am I trying to  say?

1st -- let's take a look at that Player.
Is it possible for a Player to reform? Sure, anything is possible.  But it isn't practical to hold your breathe for what's just a Possibility.
His Ex is still running after him? You find that somehow erases his rep as a skirt chaser?  Really, now.
SEE him for what he is.  Even scorpions can be captured, at no harm -- but you never see it as anything but a scorpion.

2nd --  "KASO HINDI TALAGA PAAWAT ANG PUSO KO."
There you go, Girl.  Even if ihilera all your family, friends, and barangay-mates with a huge NO sign --  you will go ahead put yourself in his path.  So, be honest with yourself.

3rd --   NATATAKOT NA AKONG MAGKAMALI ULIT.
Nothing you can do can guarantee he won't hurt you.....BUT

BUT you can calibrate the pace/degree of your falling in love with him.
From A to Z nga.
That is what  courtship is all about -- the gradual getting to know you, the gradual osmosis
Give both of you the time & chance to assess each other.

Sabi nga, , in another thread --  love/marriage/a relationship -- is a gamble.
No guarantees, really.
So, you gotta gamble only so much of yourself -- sugal nga  eh, so  baket mo itataya lahat?
Always leave enough so you can walk away & resume/restart your life.

What am I trying to say ba?!
Don't be scared & pickle your life away -- aasim ka lang.
Go try this guy out --  keep  your eyes open, your head working, while your heart palpitates -- doable!
But IMO, do not let him call the shots or set the pace.
Players are reined in by busting/playing their balls.  No, I am not being literal & bastos.  Think it out.
If, between Pts A & Z you feel you are being used/your self respect compromised/he is a player still --  just step out of the alphabet.  You should mind that you never ever ever ever get to that point you believe you have No Choice but to have a frog in your life.  Kokak.

Go, go, go have fun.  You don't gain anything by not risking anything.
But TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF.
You have been forewarned ha!
So if the 2 of you don't get to complete the alphabet -- he should be the Ex running after you this time.

Well said sis! I totally agree.  ;) Learn from your past relationships but never give up on love.

On topic: There's this phrase, "the tiger can't change its stripes". So if he's a natural player, mahirap nga mabago yan. But let's give ?m the benefit of the doubt. There's a phase in a guy's life wherein sobrang experimental and ma-explore sila. Eventually, when they experienced enough, magsasawa rin sila.

Ano ang pwede kong gawin? Should I take the risk or should I let him go?

As what I always say, "You'll never know until you try." Sugal lang ng sugal sabi nga ni sis aquacharly BUT... never compromise self-respect. I once had an ex na bali-balitang player. I gave him a chance. Pero nung dumating na sa point na nararamdaman ko na he's cheating on me, and na confirm nga, I broke up with him. I don't think I deserve to be treated like that. Dapat alam niyo rin when to let a player go.

Edited:
Good to hear na you didn't end up with the player. Otherwise, you wouldn't meet this good guy. And congratulations to your baby.

Only man can change for himself, not even a good woman on his side. My ex broke up with me after almost 4 years, all along akala ko nga matino sya. Before naging kami meron sya bisyo, umiinom, naninigarilyo. And yung past nya, medyo hindi ko gusto. After failed relationship nya, naghanap ng babae for fun. When I came into his life, nagbago sya. As in tumigil manigarilyo, uminom etc. Pero to be fair, mabait naman sya sakin and wala naman ako naramdaman na nag cheat sya while we were together. I don't know kung nag cheat ba sya or tinapos muna nya talaga yung samin bago nya binalikan yung ex nya. So ayun.

Nasa tamang tao pa rin.. dapat tama yung taong pipiliin mo.. yung taong worth it ng time at effort mo...
