I gave birth two weeks ago and this is my first child kaya I'm still coping up with the experiences. I won't learn those things overnight kaya I'm seeking help with my doctors, relatives and this forum regarding nursing newborn  ;D ;D

So I apologize if I had misunderstood the art of breast feeding  ;D

-backread backread kze  ;)

^check your latch. Baka yan ang dahilan kaya masakit

^^ yes latching for me was trial and error.many times nagsugat din ang nipples ko because of the latch. the soreness lasts a couple of days then it will subside. i applied breastmilk and nipple cream din to ease the discomfort. i took breastfeeding one day at a time. mawawala din ang pain eventually.

Mga sis I'm not sure if this is OT. I just gave birth and since I am stay at home mom, I trying to breast feed my baby though sometimes we gave him formula milk kze parang kulang pa supply ko.

I'm just wondering if breast feeding will make my boobs stirred or "lawlaw"?

I think it happens kasi minsan mabigat when it's full? Mine kinda looks like that when its full.

I heard this girl sa lactation area in the hospital na yung mom daw nya stopped breast feeding kasi nakaka lawlaw ng boobs, she was discouraging kasi her friend na nagpupump ng milk saying that's what will happen to her. Ang sad lang, she (or her sibs) were deprived of the chance to get super healthy w/ breastmilk kasi natakot ang mom nya lumawlaw ang boobs  ???

I think may mga iba naman na same pa din the boobs after mag breast feed. If ever naman talagang nakaka iba ng itsura ng boobs , I think its worth it naman for your baby's sake nalang ang isipin. Or I daan nalang sa workout para tumaas ulit hehe

^eh anong ginagawa ng bras na merong support diba? sarap batuhan naman ng bra yung nanay na yun. sorry ha but i really don't get the logic na yung paglawlaw pa ng boobs ang inalala nya  ::)

oo nga. hello, ang dami daming push up bra dyan.

just like to let you guys know na starting yesterday, nadagdagan ng 1 ounce formula milk yung iniimom ni baby.  and kahit busog na sya, and nakaligo na, she's not satisfied!  kailangan pa dumede sa breast ko para makatulog!  i think this is really a good step!

^maraming mommies na CS and yet they exclusively breastfeed & don't supplement. Wag naman sana mangyari sa yo, pero supplementing can compromise your supply.

Re your 2nd observation...breastfeeding kasi is not only for nourishment but also a source of comfort for the baby.

ako rin cs ako and i breastfeed. i think its important to have an OB who supports breastfeeding. sa hospital pa lang, after delivery ko, may nurse na nagcarry ng baby at tinapat sa boobs ko para maglatch. that same evening, after a short stay at the recovery room, room in na si baby. we had lactation nurses come in to help me with my latch and milk issues. awa ni Lord, everything went well and i'm still breastfeeding.

@hunny_ally  nababawasan na ang pagtimpla ko ng formula milk.  babawasan ko pa  :)   kanina need to go to my ob for check up.  so iyon, iwan sya sa bahay.  namiss ata ni baby yung comfort.

thanks to this forum, nalilinawagan ako sa breastfeeding...

@sistah!  saang hospital ka nanganak?  sa chinese general hospital ako nanganak, and i'm not sure kung may mga nurse na tutulong sa mommy regarding breastfeeding.  hindi ko pinaroom in si baby.  walang magbabantay sa kanya, kasi ang bantay ko is husband ko.  and minsan wala akong bantay.

question... sa february 2 kasi, need to go sa wedding ng sis ko, syempre dapat nasa church ren ako, and reception.  paano ko po ibreabreastfeed si baby?  hindi na ako nagpatahi ng dress.  pero i have dresses na medyo "daring" ang upper part.  so ibababa ko na lang iyon then breast feed si baby?  dala na lang ako ng cloth para takip sa baby and sa breast ko?  sa CR ng restaurant ko ibebreastfeed si baby?

Mommies need to know if may naka experience and kung ano ginawa...
5 1/2 mos ebf baby
No solids
For the first 4mos adjutment namin kasi sa milk ko due to protein content of dairy products.
On the fifth month i tried eating dairy products except for egg and nuts and strawberries.
Lastweek, he started to be a "distractible baby" and just last night naman parang growth spurts.
5days na sya no poop which i know is common for ebf babies.
Kaninang umaga after his feeding, nag lungad sya ng may "yellow" stain like. More like ebf baby's poop or parang stain/paint na yellow kasama sa lungad nya. More like vomit nga kasi napuno yung bib nya ng suka/lungad. Could it be related to my diet nanaman?

Sis berryblitz, may mga nursing cover that you can use as a scarf or as part of your clothes na pwrang accessory and kapag feeding time cover mo lang sainyo ni baby.i bf my baby kahit saan. As in sa mall, church, party, car.
Pwede any dress or blouse na pull down or pull up. Kung ano comfy sayo. May mga formal nursing wear din. Semi formal

i've been breastfeeding for 2.5 mos now... at the first few days, baby's pedia advised to supplement my breastfeeding with glucose water cuz dehydrated si baby. then after a few weeks, since nakukulanagan si baby sa bm ko, i gave her formula for supplement. nakaka-6oz a week kami in formula. my baby kasi is big kaya kulang supply ng bm ko at first. i just continued to bf my baby and nowadays, okay na ang bm supply ko and there's no need for formula :) thank God for that! we moms just need patience in our quest to exclusively breastfeed our babies :)
