Err I thought it's a truth universally acknowledged that getting the name of your significant other tattooed on your body is almost a guarantee that the relationship isn't going to work out. 

I was about to say the exact same thing. I have tattoos. I mean, I'm a woman... But never will I tattoo my partner's name on me. EVER.

para sa akin ang corny naman pag pina tattoo mo pa name ng bf/gf mo though wala naman ako against sa tattoo I actually love have one in the future.. pero wala lang ang corny! IMO haha.. pag naghiwalay problema pampalaser para matanggal hahaha.

But to answer the question, I don't think so. I know of a guy who had his girl's name tattooed on his arm large enough to be visible to everyone. I asked him why and his reply was, "to show everyone na seryoso ako sa kanya." And I was like, "who are you trying to convince, them or yourself?" Kasi talagang babaero siya. And true enough, he cheated on that girl not just once, not twice, but thrice and eventually left her.

Most of the time it's out of love, like for me i wanted to get my boyfriend's name tattoed on my back, but of course i'm trying to think of it first coz it's permanent, what if mag break kami edi lugi ako dahil i got his name all over me. I have a guy friend na he got he's wife's name tattoed on his chest, it's really nice, but now he wants it covered up coz nagcheat yung wife nya, harap harapan! So everytime na haharap sya sa mirror he'll always remember the infidelity of his wife. So better yet, don't do it. There's a lot of designs na magaganda nowadays na pwede mo ipatattoo

my hubby (were not married pero may anak kami) had my nickname tat in his left chest and below mine was our son's first name. tapos sa kabilang side (which is the right part of the chest) is her x gf's nickname which is colored red pero pinatungan na ng ibang tat a dragon

i know the topic is addressed to guys but i can somehow relate. i had my then bf's name tattooed a few years back. it wasn't so much because i think he's "the one" but more of a dare to myself of what lengths i can go to prove how much i'm into the person i was in a relationship with at that time. must be my juvenile reasoning. it didn't seem such a big deal. eventually, i fell out of love.

so no, it is not a proof of true love. it's loyalty, honesty and commitment regardless of time or circumstance that proves true love.

alam ko naman it sounds mababaw pero matinding pagmamahal ba talaga para ipa-tattoo ng guy sa katawan nya yung full name ng girl?

i never had tattoos and dont plan to have any in the future... kaya di ko alam kung may significance ba talaga ito.

kung buong full name mo ang ipinatato nya sa katawan nya, maniwala ka. pero kung first name mo lang, marami kang kapangalan.
