I just want to share my itinerary. We went there last March 2012.
HK Itinerary
Day 1
Roam Around
Mongkok
o Ladies Market
How To Get There
1.MTR Mong Kok Station Exit E 2, then walk along Nelson Street for two blocks.
2.Bus 1, 1A, 2, 6 or 6A from Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry Pier.
o Langham Place (Shopping Mall)
o Snoopy World
SHa Tin MRT (exit A)

Tsim Sha Tsui Area
o 1881 Heritage
How To Get There
MTR Tsim Sha Tsui Station Exit E, walk towards Salisbury Road, turn right, take subway (Pedestrian tunnel) next to YMCA to 1881 Heritage.
o Clock Tower
How To Get There
1. MTR Tsim Sha Tsui Station Exit E, walk towards Salisbury Road, turn right, take pedestrian next to YMCA to Hong Kong Cultural Centre. Then turn right and walk straight ahead towards the waterfront.
2. Take Star Ferry from Central or Wan Chai and follow the signs. The clock Tower is located next to the Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry Pier.
o Avenue of Stars (no entrance fee)
How To Get There
MTR East Tsim Sha Tsui Station, Exit J. Follow the signs to the Avenue of Stars.
o Symphony of Lights (Show Starts at 8PM) (no entrance fee)

From Avenue of Stars
MTR East Tsim Sha Tsui Station Exit J, and follow the signs to the Avenue of Stars and Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront.
From Golden Bauhinia Square
MTR Wan Chai Station Exit A5. Walk across the footbridge, head right and through the lobby of Central Plaza, continue on across the connecting overhead walkway, then descend to ground level. Head towards the waterfront ahead, and the statue and monument is on the left. About a 15-minute walk.

Bus 629 from MTR Admiralty Station Exit B.
By Bus from ADMIRALTY: Take BUS 629 from MTR Admiralty Station Exit B to OP Main Entrance. Fare HK$10.60. Journey time is approx 25 minutes.
By Bus from CENTRAL*: Take BUS 629 from Central Ferry Pier (A.M. Peak Hour Special Service) to OP Main Entrance. Fare HK$10.60.
*Morning only! (Last bus departs 10:55am from Central Ferry Pier 7 / Star Ferry Pier)
Hong Kong Island Area (Aberdeen Part)

How to Get There
Bus 70 from Exchange Square bus terminus (MTR Hong Kong Station Exit D) to Aberdeen terminus. Cross highway via subway (pedestrian tunnel), turn right, walk to dock for free boat ride to floating restaurant or take bus 75 from Exchange Square bus terminus to Shum Wan Shuttle Ferry Pier for the free boat ride.
Day 3

How To Get There
Take ferry to Park Island at Central Pier 2 (MTR Hong Kong Station Exit E1 and walk through the ifc mall to Central Pier 2), or Tsuen Wan Ferry Pier (MTR Tsuen Wan West Station Exit D).
Lantau Island Area
• Giant Buddha (Optional) – No Entrance fee, only bus & cable car
How To Get There
1.Catch ferry from Central Pier 6 (MTR Hong Kong Station Exit E1. Walk through ifc mall) to Mui Wo, then take bus 2.
2.MTR Tung Chung Station Exit B, then take bus 23 from Tung Chung Town Centre.
By Bus: Take the MTR to Tung Chung. From the bus terminus near to Tung Chung MTR Station Exit B take New Lantao Bus Company service 23 (fare HK$17.20 Mon to Sat, HK$27 Sundays and Public Holidays) to Ngong Ping.
By Cable Car: Take the MTR Tung Chung Line to Tung Chung MTR Station. The Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car Terminus is next to Tung Chung MTR Station and the cable car journey takes approximately 25 minutes. (96HKD for adults roundtrip, 63HKD for adults 1-way, 48/30 for kids)
From the airport - If travelling from the airport take the S1 shuttle bus (HK$3.50, appx every 10 mins) from the airport to Tung Chung MTR Station then ride Bus/Cable Car to Ngong Ping.
Summary:
MTR to Tung Chung then Bus 23 to Ngong Ping
MTR to Tung Chung then Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car to Ngong Ping
S1 Bus from airport to Tung Chung then Bus 23 to Ngong Ping
S1 Bus from airport to Tung Chung then Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car to Ngong Ping
From Ngong Ping/Giant Buddha:
Take Bus 23 or NP360 back to Tung Chung.
Day 4
Macau
for those residing in Kowloon (Tsim Sha Tsui, Mongkok, etc):
TST China Ferry Terminal (New World First Ferry): 33 Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. (Beside Harbour City)
Take a taxi from where you are staying when residing in Kowloon. Flagdown rate if coming from Tsim Sha Tsui.
Day 5
Roam Around
