Buti napadpad ako sa thread na to...pangarap ko rin magkaron ng farm balang araw. Sa ngayon may tanim kaming mangga sa province, 15yrs old na ang mga mangga. I don't know where to start, papa ko kase ang nakaka-alam nun kaso he passed away 4 yrs ago. Balak ng mom ko ibenta na lang yung farm pero ayaw namin magkakapatid. Sa ngayon dapat kong pag-aralan farming para kumita na sya at eventually hinde na ibenta ng mom ko.

I think better to ask help from someone who knows the product or how to run a similar farm. Tapos learn from the person. BUT make sure you are very very hands on. A relative of ours ganyan ginawa and then nadaya

My dad wanted din as part of his retirement kaso yung knowledge factor kasi lacking so no go na.

Sana nga sis makahanap ako ng tao na may alam tungkol dito. So far, ang nakausap lang namin yung nag ii-spray ng mangga. Sabi nila pwede na daw kase isprayhan para mamunga, tapos profit sharing na lang. Sila na bahala mag-harvest at magbenta. Pero gusto ko pa rin aralin kung totoo ba pinagsasabi nila, baka naman kase too early para sa ganun ma-shorten life span ng mga puno.

Sana nga matutukan ko to since I have a full time job din.

Medyo iffy yung ganun.. Kung gawin business, dapat talaga nakatutok ka lalo bago pa lang. Unless may katiwala talaga kayo? Pwede pa yun.

What happens pala if in case in the future they take all your money or maybe go bankrupt? Is it covered in the contract? What to do if that happens? I understand okay sila now but there is always risk involved. Any lawyers here? Hope you can share info...

Hello everyone!
I'm happy to found this forum because we also plan to go into farming this year.
Ingat lang mas sis sa online investment kasi marami scam ngayon, we were a victim too to the tune of 1.2M kaya maingat na talaga kami sa mga ganyan, better pa ikaw nalang magventure into farming mismo.
The reason why we want to venture into farming kasi aside from passion ni husband ang farming, meron naintroduce sa amin na product that can replace inorganic fertilizers and almost double ang yield ng harvest. Even sa el nino may harvest din when you apply that kind of product pati mga mangga na seasonal lang ang bunga nagiging all year round ang bunga pag nilagyan nun kaya super excited kami to start kasi organic ang kalalabasan ng mga harvest namin. We are actually looking for some farm lots na for rent that have not yet been exposed to inorganic fertilizers. Our requirement is at least 10 hectares.

@violinist - anong farmland kelangan nyo? Is it for rice or for fruits/veges. Do you need the 10has contiguous, or puedeng 2 magkahiwalay na plots but within 25 mins travel time. And may preferred locations ba kayo - eg. my parents and their friends' farmlands are over in Isabela (Region 2).

oo nga nabasa ko yung hindi pala SEC registered si farmon.
I invested pa naman sa 11th cycle.
they sent me the contract and I already paid but until now wala pa din reply to confirm my payment.
should I worry?

They are not SEC registered kasi they are under DTI. According sa forum on going ang kanilang SEC registration. Farm on is registered under DTI (http://www.bnrs.dti.gov.ph/web/guest/search) just type FARMON. Yung Sproads ang hindi.

As to legality: they're illegal kasi di sila registered sa SEC. Sole proprietorship sila kaya under DTI lang. Magtatanong-tanong ako kung ano possible reasons bakit na-escalate ang Farm on sa SEC.

UPDATE: Sabi ng pinagtanungan ko dahil investment house required talaga mag-register under SEC. May pre-req kasi si SEC about investments na need nila ng secondary license under Sec.8.1 of SRC which is stated as "SEC. 8. Requirement of Registration of Securities. – 8.1. Securities shall not be sold or offered for sale or distribution within the Philippines, without a registration statement duly filed with and approved by the Commission. Prior to such sale, information on the securities, in such form and with such substance as the Commission may prescribe, shall be made available to each prospective purchaser."

Ayun. Hope this helps and I hope na maayos agad ni FarmOn ang issue nila with regards to their legality as an entity. Magandang opportunity pa man din ito to the farmers and investors as well.

Yes pag sole proprietorship kasi dapat lahat ng capital is from the owner.
Starting investment ko din 11th cycle but I do trust they'll fix this naman. Saka wala pa naman cease and desist order right?

I think kasi they are gaining popularity and new investors research so abot sa SEC yung concern.

hay I hope maayos ng farmon tong issue na to para magkaron na din ng peace of mind ang mga investors na gaya natin. super excited pa naman ako kasi naka join ako ng 11th cycle. Maganda pa naman ang objective ng Farmon so sana mafix nila.

May mga nag-report siguro dun sa mga hindi nasagot or hindi satisfied sa sagot ng admin as farmon. Really hoping they could fix this asap. Sayang yung idea. And kawawa ang farmers.

I wanted to do this concept also pero between close friends lang who are interested in farming also para no need for registration. Kaya lang when I tell my family about the idea they will always shut me off with negative comments such as saan ibabagsak yung gulay? Sino mag-aalaga? The usual negative human's reaction. Sad lang kasi I am not getting the help nor support from them. Pero I really want to push through. Or kahit isang small plot of land lang na tataniman ko ng edible flowering plants and fruit and vegetables-bearing trees and plants na pwede maging venue or kahit pahingahan lang. If di pagkakakitaan, kahit for my future children's sake na lang. Like Sonja's garden or that one organic resto somewhere Antipolo na napanood ko sa CNN PH.
