Roomorama and AirBnB - short term rentals for group/family tours

Twice na ako nagairbnb when I went sa New York.
Lagi kami sa may Queens-Astoria nagrerent.
Okay naman yung place, descent and clean yung room.
Lapit sa station (Ditmars station) and 15 minutes away lang sa TImes Square.
Andami din pwede kainan sa area.

My hubby and I are planning on April next year for 5 days although matagal pa naman we have to prepare in advance para makamura. Hindi ba banned or something like illegal  ang air bnb sa NewYork? Try ko din magcheck sa roomorama.
May nakita na ko hostel malapit lang sa Empire state building mga 15minutes walk medyo mahal nga lang compare sa rental room space apartment. Thanks

My family (group of 6) are planning to go to Korea next month and I'm thinking if its better to stay in airbnb flats than guesthouse or small hotels. anyone tried using airbnb in korea and can recommend a great place? thank you.

we stayed in an airbnb apartment in SG. actually, it is more of a house that has different suites inside. each suite is equipped with a kitchenette and a washer/dryer. electronic lock din each room so no worries for us. security-wise, the main gate is electronic that allowed us to come and go anytime. the area is situated in the One Tree Hill area 5-mins away (by foot) to wheelock place / orchard. the owner even threw in free pickup and drop off to changi for a minimum of 5 days stay. We saved almost 30k staying here compared to if we opted for a hotel room.

no problem so far with airbnb, booked a condo unit infront of burj khalifa (that was the first booking I made with them). last year sa italy lahat ng stay namin nabook ko din sa airbnb ok din. sa japan last december sa airbnb din kami nakahanap ng mura room sa namba at sa shinjuku.

^Tried HomeAway twice already for our HK trip. Okay rin naman, parang same rin sa AirBnB since most of the hosts have postings for both sites.

^thanks! I was planning to use HomeAway for the family's trip to Tokyo but their listings were limited. Nabasa ko kasi na mas madami silang entire houses for rent. May nakuha ako sa Roomorama.

^iyong nakuha ko na same property may listing din sa Airbnb pero nang the dates na gusto ko, wala siya sa Airbnb pero meron sa Roomorama. Gusto lang siguro nang may-ari na balanced ang clients niya from both sites. Anyway, napansin ko sa Roomorama, kaunti lang sa Tokyo pero mukhang maaayos ang properties from the photos and parang mas maraming entire house sa Roomorama, whereas sa Airbnb ang daming mukhang slumlords ang nagpaparenta.

I've used airbnb a few times and never had problems with it. Yung venue namin for our engagement shoot was even booked from there. I usually choose the ones with lenient cancellation policies hehe pero so far naman wala pa ko naging problem.

First airbnb experience. Not good. we wanted to use airbnb for his NY trip. Hay naku, the host cancelled our reservation because there is something wrong daw with her building. Nakakaloka! I got the cancellation the morning na paalis husband ko AND kung kailan I just cancelled yung nauna kong reservation sa hotel.  so imagine, in few hours paalis na si hubby with nowhere to stay sa NY and lahat nang malapit na hotels fully booked na. Na trauma kami sa airbnb so I looked for a hotel na. nakakuha naman ako but Of course it was more expensive na than my initial hotel booking done 2 weeks ago.  fresh pa sa kin mga sis kasi kakaalis lang ng husband ko last night.

 Bottom line, I would still use airbnb... In the far future pag nakalimutan ko na yung inconvenience and hassle and added expense brought about by this experience.

^ay sis paki-review mo yung listing na nag-cancel sya. Ang alam ko meron penalty yung host for cancelling a reservation within a week's arrival ng guest. It will also help users like us to re-consider renting places like hers in the future. Kaya ako I always check the reviews ng mga apartments na we are considering to rent. Pag may nabasa ako na review na medyo off or nag-cancel for whatever reason, di ko na tinitingnan pa yung property.

Tiningnan ko may automatic review na lumabas sa Kanya na the host cancelled 2days before check in. Gusto ko nga indicate that it wasn't 2 days but one day before. Kaya Lang Siguro local time Nila binase. Eh ahead tayo. But it looks like I cannot add my own review anymore.
