I use AirBnB for visitors here in the Philippines and super ok. I tried in taipei too and the only hassle was they can't keep your luggage if you have a later flight but good thing, the cleaning lady of the room turned out to be Pinay and she let us park our bags in another room. So, AirbnB for our next trips pa din

@mama squeak, if may weekly rate yun place tapos ang sinend na pre approved rate based sa daily rate, pwede ko icontact yun host na gawin weekly rate? If for example tuesday to tuesday of the next week considered 1 week ba or 1 week 1 day na? Pasensya na ang daming tanong

^yes, you have to contact the host so they can send you the link for the weekly rate. Yung sa website kasi naka-default ng daily rate. One week is check-in Tuesday and check-out Tuesday (7 nights).

^thanks mama squeak mukhang itutuloy ko ang airbnb sa paris ang laki ng difference kasi kumpara sa hotel na naibook ko. Yun a/c lang kasi problema ko pero malamig (at rainy) naman ang oct/nov kaya pakiramdam ko ayos lang walang a/c.

^Definitely cheaper to go airbnb! The first time we visited Paris we stayed at a hotel then we discovered airbnb. Since then we never looked back! Re a/c you'll only need it if your visit will be in summer but since fall/winter ka pupunta you don't need it.

^yes malamig naman na, pwedengbwalang a/c. Mama squeak nag-ask ako na weekly rate ang isend na pre approved rate para macomplete ko na ang booking pero yun daily rate * 7 pa rin ang pinadala. May nakalagay naman na weekly rate sa ad niya kaya yun yung nirequest ko. Ang laki kasi ng difference 8900 pesos rin halos $200 na yun.


Edited to add: less than 5mins after isend yun daily rate pa rin (immediately i asked if pwede irequest yun weekly rate) may nagbook na raw hays. Sana hindi na nilagay ang weekly rate e di hindi na nag-inquire at direcho book na. Sabagay kasama sa airbnb ang ganito.

^nahilo na ako kakabasa ng mga reviews mama squeak pero worth it naman ok na nakapag book na ako kanina after ko icompare ilang apartments rin. Sana maging ok naman 2nd time ko pa lang mag-airbnb kasi.

^sis as I've earlier mentioned maraming choices of shared rooms or entire apartments in Paris. Depende na lang yan on your budget and the amenities na gusto nyo. Go to the site and use the filter to set your priorities and it will give you options. Be sure lang you read the reviews para makasigurado ka na maayos yung rerentahan ninyo. Good luck!

anybody who tried Airbnb in local provincial destinations like Batangas, and the likes? How was it? May promo kasi sa citibank na less P2500 for the first booking via airBnB. Natetempt akong mag avail. Saka mukhang mas mura compared to hotels talaga.

^Yes I did!  When I went home last month, I booked a house with a pool in Nasugbu (10 minutes drive  from Tagaytay) and super nice!  6.5k ang  published rate nila, pero nagmessage ako sa owner since 3 nights kami ng discount and naging 5k a night na lang. It´s inside a Mango farm tapos the katiwala are very nice, pwede rin magpaluto ng food kung tamad kayo and super mura lang ng food rates nila ( one breakfast ( kanin, tocino, ham, tapa, eggs, maling plus putok pan de sal) and one dinner (rice, laing, kare-kare, sinigang, chopseuy, buko pandan, leche flan)  both meals good for 7 persons, nag-add lang ako ng 2k. Gracious din yung owner and her parents, binisita kami to check how we are.

We used Airbnb sa Japan trip namen in Osaka and the place was huge at true enough na puro Hello Kitty sa loob! hahaha. Tapos nitong last sa Vatican, yung promo ng Citibank nakakuha kame ng room just outside St. Peter's Square, as in tatawid na lang yun na. Not to mention na super mura, 11k (discounted na) 2nights for 3pax.

Twice na ako nagairbnb when I went sa New York.
Lagi kami sa may Queens-Astoria nagrerent.
Okay naman yung place, descent and clean yung room.
Lapit sa station (Ditmars station) and 15 minutes away lang sa TImes Square.
Andami din pwede kainan sa area.
