currently in our london apartment that we rented through airbnb and ok naman, it is how was advertised and the hosts are really nice. very well equipped place and right smack in central london. our apartment is a stone throw away from euston station so very convenient.

will also have another apartment rented in fowey, cornwall, uk through a different site similar to airbnb and will see how it is naman.

BF and I booked a NYC apartment for the first time through Airbnb .  We loved the place and the host was very nice although we never met her.  She only left the key outside the apartment and dun lang namin kinuha and iniwan when we left. Maybe next time try namin Roomarama.

I used airbnb for my trip to HK. It was a great experience. We wanted something clean, at a central area and close to a subway station. It was small yes, but we hardly spent anytime in the apartment.

I made sure to look for one with a good number of positive reviews and exchanged emails with the host before booking. Hassle free. I would use the service again.

I stayed 3 times in an airbnb apartment.

1st stay: in Taguig
Since nasa Philippines lang, super easy! Kaso as you know, hassle talaga mga security guards sa mga condos. I never met the owner, communicated through text lang. I left the key inside the apartment when we left.

2nd stay: in HK
Our host was very nice talaga. We loved her. She even met us up at the MTR station nearby para di kami maligaw. Checkout was easy, we just left the key inside the apartment. And the area is nice, near Kowloon.

3rd stay: in Pairs
I communicated with our host through texts only. I never met them. Checkin was easy. No keys needed since they just provided us with the code (Medyo scary kasi anyone who stayed prior us can come back and open the door too). The apartment was on the top floor of an old building (no elevator, wooden stairs, old floors) but it's very parisian so we loved it! Pahirapan lang magakyat baba (6 floors)


About the hosts asking for info:
Some hosts wants assurance so they ask for a photo or any other info since this is their home they are renting to total strangers. They need protection too as much as we need protection. But I don't think Airbnb gives the sensitive info directly, they probably just inform the host if your social security number is verified but not the exact code. The same way the host will never know your CC details.

Currently staying in our 5th ere parisian apartment. Ive never met the owner pero its was her sister who waited for us
at the bus station.

So far so good sa airbnb rentals ko. Pinaka hassle na ata yung sa
Jerusalem wherein we emailed the owner na we'll be leaving at 8am for another city. 9am wala
pa then eventually asked us to leave the keys at the mailbox nalang. Pero overall good experience.
For the price I paid, even its location, hubby and i are very pleased.

I've used Airbnb around 12 times already. Mostly from our Asia, South America and Europe trips. I never had any bad experience with the hosts. There was this one time in Amsterdam we rented a beautiful houseboat, the owners were on vacation so we had the whole place for ourselves. They even left their Imac for us to use pati food sa fridge, wine etc pwede mo gamitin according sa note ng owner. I would always choose airbnb over hotel kasi you get to know the locals personally, get more info on where to go and eat best, minsan free transpo pa. May mga nagiging friend ka pa like last time na nag-rent ako sa Bogota Colombia, up to now I still chat with the host.

Going to Singapore in October so nagtitingin din kami ng accommodation sa airbnb. So far yung pinakamura na rental (private room for 2 pax) na nakita namin, Pinoy pa yung host. Might book it kapag wala kaming ibang nakita, ang mahal kasi sa hotels. Meron nga na mura, para namang sobrang sikip.

Meron ba sa Pasay or Makati na pwedeng short term lease lang? Like 1 month? I checked AirBnB medyo expensive lahat. 15k lang dana for a month. Thanks!

I'm used to booking directly via hotel websites but I'm thinking of booking via AirBNB for my Tokyo trip this coming August 2015.

I'd like to ask feedback about the site, if they're really reliable and if you encounter some issues while using it.

Have never tried AirBnB for trips abroad. When the IO asks where you guys will be staying, address ng apartment ang binibigay ninyo then say that you booked through AirBnB?

^Just provide the address of the apartment. No need to volunteer where you rented unless the IO will ask you. Always have your booking confirmation print-out as proof, this will be sent to you by airbnb.

First time to booked thru AirBnB for our trip to Mui Ne, Vietnam and Bangkok early this month. Hindi naman ako nahirapan magpabooked sa site nila at makipag communicate sa hosts. As first timer, I booked our accommodation sa marami ng feedback.

^that's what I also did the first time I rented thru them. Actually every time I rent yung reviews talaga inuuna kong basa. Pag meron akong nabasa na nag-cancel yung owner even if maraming good reviews, di ko tinutuloy. Good luck on your stay! Update us how your stay went when you get back.

How about yung luggage storage? Di ba usually sa hotel if hindi allowed / available ang early check-in or late check-out eh usually you can leave muna your baggage? Paano kapag sa AirBnB? Meron din ba silang mga ganun? Thanks.

^Yong host namin sa BKK pumayag naman na iwan yong bags namin sa main house nya since male-late na kami ng balik for check-out. Pwede mo rin ito itanong sa host before ka magpabook.

we're going to Philippines on Feb and I'm choosing a few rental properties in Greenbelt, Rockwell and Gramercy. And Azure in Paranaque too if we have time. We frequent Makati kasi and I don't want to waste any more time with Manila traffic so I figured, magstay na lang kami sa condo in Makati... either lakad kami papuntang mall (if walking distance) or cab.

Question lang, if I book now, will the money be taken out of my account na rin ba?
