^Hi sis, for airbnb once the owner has accepted your reservations airbnb will charge you the whole amount. But the rent will only be released to the owner 24 hours after your check-in date in case of any dispute. Bale naka-safe keeping with airbnb yung rent mo until they release it.

In case of cancellation, depends on the condition set by the owner pwede strict or moderate. For example, ang T&C ng owner is cancellation allowed at least 7 days prior to your arrival date. If you cancel within the given time, full refund ka otherwise they charge you the full rental. Make sure before you book, check the terms/conditions of the rental/cancellation/etc. Iba-ibang owner, iba-ibang T&C.

^Oh ok,thanks sis. The trip is in april pa kasi, and if I book it now, that means will have to pay the full amount na when out statement of account arrives next month no? Medyo malaki amount din kasi (€700+) kaya parang hesistant ako.  I read the cancellation policy, its moderate naman. Also, maari pa magbago yung total kasi we might reduce our stay in paris to 5 nights lang instead of 8 nights. But the apt seems like a good deal na. Do you think I should go for it na?sorry kulit ko! Thank u once again!

^You can still get a cheaper apartment if you choose somewhere in the outer arrondissements. It will just take you from 5 to 10 minutes metro ride to get to the center anyway. Some nice and bigger apartments that are way cheaper can be found in the 9th-16th arrondissement.

How to know where the apartment is located? Easy! Just look at the zipcode i.e. 75001 means 75 for central Paris, 001 for the 1st arrondissement. So the link you gave says the apartment is at 75005, meaning it is at the 5th arrondissement or the Latin Quarter. Medyo pricey that area.

I made a mock booking for April at these areas and I got these available apartments at the USD80/night range.

Hi sissie, I'm here in the apartment in Mongkok that we rented through airbnb. Quite compact but the ameneties are complete. The best din ang location coz literally a minute walk to Mongkok MTR. Super bait pa kausap ng host.

the room is exactly what's in the picture. very good location, a minute walk to MTR, Ladies Market is a street away from the subway.

^sis, max of 3 lang ang kayang i-accommodate ng place.  If ganyan kalaki ang party ninyo, try to filter based on number of guests.  I think, merong 7K to 10K per night.  Not bad na din compared sa hotel.

Anyone tried to book an apartment for london? Will be there for 3 weeks next month and we contacted na 3 hosts via airbnb and even if they are supposedly available on our dates, they did mot accept our reservation

is it true that airbnb asks for the guest's social security number? yikes if that's true. extreme naman though i can understand. still kung totoo, not sure the discounts are worth the hassle.

^Since when? I always use airbnb. My last one was last October in Paris. I'll be using them again for a two week trip back to Paris this September. Walang hinihingi naman sa akin just my credit card details for the payment, of course.

^ It was posted a few weeks ago lang. But I know now what happened. I guess something happened to one of the hosts sometime ago that prompted Airbnb to give hosts the option to add identity verification steps when accepting guests. So aside from CC info, some hosts now request either a valid photo ID or SSN.

Howell. Siguro wag na lang mag-book with hosts who require that.

^Oh! Option lang pala ng hosts. Oo nga meron nga akong nabasa rin while I was looking for an apartment to rent, one host naman required na i-scan sa kanya yung passport ng prospective renter. Yeah, pag ganyan ka-stricto yung mga hosts kaka-turn off, but I couldn't blame them also specially kung meron nangyaring di maganda while having their place rented (baka hindi din na-cover ng security deposit nya).

That's why I value yung reviews both from the hosts and my own reviews as a renter. That will also help kasi the host in letting me rent his/her place. Case in point, I found this apartment in Paris for our two-week stay and I negotiated for a lower rent. I have good reviews from apartment owners we've rented before. That's probably one of the reasons why she gave us a very good deal. I just booked her apartment yesterday.

^Yup, you can talk to the host directly before booking your stay. Of course depende sa host din if willing sya to negotiate. If you notice there is a "Contact Me" blue tab under the host name, you can click on that and send your message directly to the host/owner.

Meron din naman naka-automatic na nakalagay sa Description page yung minimum stay i.e. 3 days, one week, one month, etc. If any of your stays would fall on any of those category then no need to negotiate. Dun kasi sa napili namin minimum 3 days and naka-Daily rate lang sya so I asked if pwede weekly since two weeks kami balak mag-rent (kasi cheaper talaga if longer stay). Pumayag naman babaan yung rent plus tinanggal nya yung cleaning fees.

mama_squeak: nakakaturn-off talaga. i think if sa airbnb mapupunta yung info, baka ok pa. pero kung individual host/s, no way. yun lang cc info masakit na to release eh. ssn pa kaya.

^First time I used airbnb medyo kabado ako since they were just starting out and la pa masyadong reviews sa mga users. Lakasan na lang ng loob ang mura kasi compared to staying at a hotel. The credit card details naman are safe with them (not the owners ha, I wouldn't give nor rent from owners asking for my cc details). So I don't mind the service fee airbnb charges.

So far so good naman lahat ng experiences ko sa mga apartments na I rented. This will be my 4th time na with them.

^ i was going to book nga din. but most of the places i was looking at had a 3, 4-night minimum stay. sayang nga eh. howell.

nakakatempt yung ibang properties. even kahit staycation lang. like, meron a few weeks ago, around la, treehouse! ang cute cute.

ok ang Air Bnb. diyan kami nagbook when we went to Paris last year. maayos naman yung apartment at smooth ang transaction.
