^cheaper if you'l be travelling solo or as a couple. But for 3 to 5 persons travelling together cheaper to take their fixed rate cab. My sisters and I took their fixed rate cab for $50 JFK to Manhattan.

Looks like NYC na kami this Friday for one week...  not Maldives or Taiwan. It'll be our 1st time in NYC.

We are thinking of booking in Hotel Courtyard by Marriott or in Sofitel.

Mga sis, is 80-100k pesos enough pocket money for a week in NYC? Sulit na ba ang one week or should we stay longer?

if you stay around NYC only and not go shopping approx php100k =us$2000+ ok na yan
pero wala pa dyan cost for accommodation ha, i was thinking for maybe 1-2 pax ok na this budget
this can get you decent meals na and pay for entrance to attractions, some of which are free naman

Hi, much better you take go link shuttle from NYC airport its far cheaper only $17 per person that's what we had used when we were in NYC.

I took a shared van from my hotel. Costs $21, gave concierge $30, concierge gave me a buck as change!lol..May nakita ako habang sakay ng van, parang bus sya, NYC airporter.com nakalagay for $14.

We just got back from our 8 day trip in nNew York and I cant wait to go back. We stayed at Hotel Courtyard Marriott , Broadway. Its right in the middle of everything. 5-10 min walk lang from Timesquare. Very convenient sa lahat and the price per night is reasonable so I would highly recommend this hotel.

We were able to watch the fireworks along FDR Drive East River on July 4 pero grabee basa kami sa ulan.
i particularly enjoyed the frozen chocolate in Serendipity 3... It was so yummy and of course Max Brenner in Union Square!

We werent able to try Georgetown Cupcakes in Soho thought it was highly recommended by a friend kasi Im not really fond of cupcakes.

We were there pa nga in TimeSquare when people rallied regarding don sa black man who was gunshot by a police officer. #blacklivesmatter..  Naki usyoso lang and nagpa picture sa police officers. 

It was an unplanned spontaneous trip, no regrets here!

Posting here just in case someone can help. I have an aunt who lives in Hudson Valley. She wants to send us a gift here in Manila, but don't know what's a reliable courier/shipping company who will pickup a small appliance from her house and ship it directly to Phils.

kamusta ang NYC pag Christmas and New Year?

madaming bang sarado? planning to spend my baby's 4th birthday there. ano bang mga pang bata maganda pasyalan?

Sobrang daming tao sa NYC pag Christmas season na. Sa Rockefeller Center halos hindi mo na makita nilalakaran mo. Even sa MoMa punong puno rin. Everywhere you go, jampacked.

But the bagsak presyo sale in stores, lalo sa Woodbury Commons (outlet) makes it all worth it. Haha!

I'm just not sure lang of a good place to bring kids pag Christmas holidays. Nag-close na kasi yung Toys R Us sa Times Square. There maybe other toy stores. Try Madame Tussauds din siguro.

There's this mall na malapit sa Ground Zero where you can find good deals. Century 21 yung name. I used to stay at hilton hotel near Time Sq so i would take a subway, yun lang as far as I remember pag weekend change route yun mga subways. Check nyo na lang sissies not sure if may changes ngaun. Mejo matagal nako huli nakapunta NYC.

There is construction going on but open naman all stores.
Go there early since this is a big place and there are a lot of stores. Can get crowded on weekends specially during a major sale.

if you are just planning to buy from regular stores like gap, banana rep, nike, etc., might as well shop at NJ or Penn since there is no tax for clothes. But if you are buy high end, you find it at Woodbury. Or its also nice to check out the stores - as I have mentioned, there are lots.

Just got back  from New York, it was an amazing race for me, LOL

but nonetheless, I enjoyed New York, though, some of their subways are kinda dirty and smelly, it is still New York

Have you tried the Hop-on Hop-Off bus in New York? Is it worth it or better to DIY na lang? Solo traveler here for 5 days:)

hmmm honestly would be better to explore on your own. You can technically move around NYC in 3 days including Liberty and Freedom tower.  The hop on hop off bus takes time since traffic is bad in the city. Better to always take the subway
