^National Mall yung tawag sa area where some of the major attractions of DC are found. End to end would be the Lincoln memorial and the Capitol. In between is the Washington monument. Around that area are some of the museums.

Yes sis ito yon.
We went during the summer season, daming tao and ang init pa.
To walk from the capitol to the lincolm memorial is major!!!
Nice also to visit Arlington cementery.

Mga one day trip kami sa Washington DC.
Alis kami ng 6:45AM sa NY via AMTRAK and we will arrive sa DC ng 10:45AM
Then balik kami NY via BUS at 5pm.
So mga 6 hours yung stay namin sa DC, Okay lang ba ang 6 hours na to para malibot namin ang area?
Walking lang ba ganap dito?

^Bitin ang 6 hours sis pero malilibot mo na ang National Mall at siguro 2 museums. Maganda sana kung maaga kayo dun para makapasok kayo sa Holocaust Museum at Archives. At oo puro lakad, as in. Half day lang kami kaya bitin na bitin ako. Napuntahan ko lang yung White House (back view), Holocaust Museum, Natural History at National Mall pero from Capitol to Washington memorial lang. Sa sobrang pagod di ko na nilakad from Washington memorial to Lincoln.

^^ Yeah, I'd agree. That's definitely not enough time. If you do that, you may just have to forgo the museums and do the main tourist attractions.

I'm going to NYC on a business trip, sometime last week of Oct till half of November. How's the weather there during this time? It's still fall weather diba? So light jacket weather lang? Will appreciate some tips on what to bring mga sis.

^mag layering ka na lang instead of bringing a heavy jacket. My experience when I was there during mid-October kaya na ng sweater under a light jacket but of course depende din sa tolerance mo sa lamig ha. Hindi ako lamigin so okay na sa akin sweater/light jacket. Pero nung nagpunta kami ng Highline sa bandang waterfront anlamig ng hangin! Ngatog lang naman ako.

Thanks mama squeak, nabago na naman nga...my trip has been moved to early Nov till first week of Dec...kaya pa ba ng sweaters, light jackets? ayoko sana magdala ng heavy jacket na rin.

Don na pala ako aabutin ng Thanksgiving nila...diba that's the time that they have the Black Friday sale?? Nae excite naman ako haha kahit na business trip ang punta ko.. Pwede na ko mag Xmas shopping? haha

^I think better to check the forecast a week before you arrive in NYC so you'll be prepared. Weather is weird nowadays. Layering lang talaga. If you're not used to the cold maybe you can bring those thermal tank tops. Then a sweater and a mid-weight jacket.

The weather is summer like on some days, malamig on some days according to my sister. Meron days in October na maulan and malamig. Iba-iba na ang panahon ngayon.

Yes - US tanksgiving is 3rd week Nov and this when Black Friday happens.
Pero beware sis, grabe daming tao baka hindi ka mag enjoy.

I would like to ask for your suggestions sana. Planning to go to NYC next year para sa birthday ng asawa ko. Gusto niya either Nyc or SF. Meron kayo massuggest na hotels na atleast $120 or less a night? Pero malinis and safe. And which area maganda mag stay? Yung madali lang sana mahanap.

^if you stay at Manhattan, that can be a tight budget. Although if you are a first time tourist, its better to stay there for convenience. Check trivago.com so you can compare prices.

there are a lot of hotels within walking distance to times square, but will be over your budget. check trivago.com, type in times square on the search function. or try to google map the location of time square - 7th and 46th. then search for nearby hotels to at least to give you an idea of the cost and distance to the attractions.

Parang wala yata akong nakikita na $120 or less na decent hotels sa mid-Manhattan. Maybe go airbnb to fit your budget. My friend just came back from a week in NYC. She rented an apartment for $100/night in Harlem. It's a couple of blocks from the nearest subway stop. She felt safe naman daw even coming home at night.

If you don't want to rent an apartment, you can also try hotwire (blind booking) or priceline (bidding/name your price).

Agree, wala ngang around $120 na hotel sa may Times Square. Just got back from there.

Sorry po talaga hindi ko kasi alam kung saan okay mag stay. Gusto ko isurprise ang asawa ko either nyc or sf. From florida kami, pag dating sa air fare mas cheaper pumunta ng nyc pero i don't know kung alin talaga mas cheaper as a whole.

Gusto ko lang puntahan namin mga tourist spots.
1. Sa march ba, snowing pa rin sa nyc?
2. What area maaddvise niyo magstay kami? 4 day trip lang. Anong area or kung may specific hotel kayo massuggest please
3. Need ba mag rent a car or madali lang talaga mag commute?

^if you go to NYC around March - malamig pa yan.
Hindi pa natunaw ang snow. There will be chances na may snow storm pa until April.

If you are a first time tourist, find accommodations near times square - at least you will be walking distance to attractions.

You dont need a car, NYC has good transport system. Besides, hirap mag park sa NYC. Either you park at a parking garage which is expensive or take your chance on street parking - which is a major pain.

^^Yes di advisable na magcar sa manhattan. Pahirapan sa pagpark at kung meron man it will be expensive plus the traffic. Unless pupunta kayo sa suburban..
