What is the best mode of transportation from Manhattan to New Jersey?

Depends where in NJ you're going but .. PATH or the NJ Transit are your best bets.

Will be in NYC early sept. 5Adults and 1 child, ok ba to get room for 4person? do they check ba for max occupancy? Wala masyado choices for bigger rooms na affordable eh. Thinking of renting thru airbnb pero what's this i've read na renting for less than 30days is now illegal in New york.

^my friend just came back from NYC and she rented an apartment for a week thru airbnb. Okay naman her experience. I think this issue of airbnb in NYC is still being debated by the lawmakers there. You can check this link to know more:

Is it advisable to go on a day tour to DC when staying in Manhattan?

^you mean Washington, DC?
Medyo malayo yon, matraffic pa sa dadaanan.
Besides, if you plan to tour Washington, a day is not enough to cover atleast half of the attractions.

^I would skip Atlantic City and just go straight to DC and spend a few days there. But to answer your Q, it's still not enough time to do a day trip either from AC. One way is already 3 hours not counting the traffic.

^^medyo malapit na siguro ng konti if you are coming from Atlantic City.
From NY I95 takes you directly to DC in 4hrs  + the traffic.

We stayed for 3days and just chose the museums + attractions that we wanted to visit pero parang bitin since this was a major walkathon. parking was a nightmare.

^^ what we did before we stayed overnight sa DC from Manhattan. Left NY really early (greyhound) then went back to NY evening of the following day. Yeah 3 hours byahe so bitin. Actually even 2 days bitin.

But if you just want to see DC it's doable. I have a friend who lives in DC, one of my trips to Manhattan he did a day trip to see us.

Atlantic city is ok naman to visit.
I like their boardwalk, ang ganda mag hang out sa gabi. maganda rin naman outlet shopping here wala pa tax for clothes. Pwede ka maglakad-lakad sa beach area pero malamig ang tubig even during the summer. You can visit AC as a daytrip or maybe stay for a night then head to DC.

Yes. If you're only going to see the basic attractions in DC  Should be around 3 1/2 to 4 hrs on a easy sunday per way.

^yes pwede siguro but very tight... nakakapagod yon for a first time vsitor.
not sure if a day is enough for dc since just to cover air and space museum is already a good couple of hours. Then there's smithsonian, natural history, white house, etc. There is just so much to see and sayang naman punta mo doon if you dont see majority of the major attractions. kasi even if one is not a big fan of museums it can be very entertaining and well worth the time.

Nag DC ako last year for 1 day, galing kaming NYC. Haggardo versoza! Napuntahan ko naman yung mga gusto ko pero kulang talaga ang 1 day. Nasiksik ko yung Washington Monument, Capitol, Holocaust museum, national treasury (labas lang), Natural History, etc... Meron pa isang museum pero naabutan kami ng cut off, as in nasa pinto na kami. Sayang.

For those who were able to visit DC,  can you suggest an area where pinaka ok na magbook ng hotel? I mean kung saan malapit yung halos lahat ng major attractions?

Pasensya na.. super wala talaga akong idea sa east coast...

attractions at the national mall is tabi tabi lang.
pero if you want to see the white house or go to the washington zoo you have to take a cab.

^National Mall yung tawag sa area where some of the major attractions of DC are found. End to end would be the Lincoln memorial and the Capitol. In between is the Washington monument. Around that area are some of the museums.
