Here in NY. Medyo disappointing yung Times Square. Dami ginagawa ngayon kaya hindi ko maappreciate. But had fun on the Statue of Liberty Tour. Tom will check out Empire State Building.

I was there October last year and they were starting a lot of diggings nga sa Times Square. Hindi tuloy maganda yung mga pics nakuha ko at laging may extrang construction fences.

^puntahan nyo na rin yung High Line and Chelsea Market if you have time.

Yes, lots of construction around Times Square.
Even St. Patrick's had scaffolding all the way to the altar, well as of  2 weeks ago when I was last there.
Rockefeller area was bare too. Apparently, things get jazzed up only prior to Thanksgiving.

Sis sa sunday na ang trip ko pero wala pakong hostel. Keri lang ba yung mga jfk hotel tapos magcommute na lang ako pa times square? Ang pricey kasi sa broadway area. And i am travelling alone, generally safe ba sa newyork tourist spots? And hostels?

^mahal talaga pag Manhattan area ka. The reason why we chose to stay in that area is the convenience to the must-sees and less hassle sa commute especially at night. Sorry no idea with hostels. Probably a less expensive option is airbnb (apartment/room rentals) or hotwire (blind booking). I've had good experiences with both.

For those who are on a budget but want to stay in Midtown, I highly recommend staying at YOTEL in Hell's Kitchen, just 3 blocks away from Time Square. It's on 10th and West 42nd. Very clean, modern, and practically everything is within walking distance.

To anyone who is planning to go there next year, PAL currently has seat sale with travel period of January 16 -March 15 2016. I was able to purchase a roundtrip ticket for around $700

Just got back from a few days in NYC.

Weather was alternating between rainy and sunny, but was mostly sunny towards the end.

It was my third or fourth time in NYC, but it was the first time I went up the Empire State Building. Totally not worth it, IMO, hahaha. I still ended up waiting in line for just over an hour, and this was at 12 midnight. I think the wait would have been longer, if they weren't near closing time. So they opened up the lines, and told us we could go upstairs faster if we took the stairs (6 levels).

Although this was during a weekend, maybe the wait is shorter on a weekday. So tip ko lang - pay for the express tickets, or go to Top of the Rock na lang. (They have much shorter lines, and you have access to three levels).
