zoe_girl18, there's no specific rule talaga on how long ka dapat magpupump but the idea is to "empty" your breast in order for your body to produce more milk. as for the quantity to feed your milk, depends on your baby's appetite. i started with 3-4oz when i first introduced bottle feeding to my son. some naman 2oz.

^^room temp milk can last for upto 8hours. sa ref it can last for 3-4days BUT once taken out from the fridge kailangan na ubusin. i thaw my milk by using a bottle warmer. and there are some babies who prefer cold milk, depende

what i pumped today is for tomorrow's consumption kaya sa ref lang. if you inted to store it for longer periods, dun ka lang mag freeze.

Mga sis, sorry Ive been following this thread but I lack time to finish backreading all the previous threads.
Please help, makikisuyo kasi ako pabili ng breast pump sa friend sa States dahil I learned here na mas mura dun and he's leaving next week na, most of the feedback the best pa din ang electric at si baby ang "manual" na mag-stimulate ng milk...

Im on my 24th week and a first time mom I'm setting my whole body, mind & spirit na magbe-breast feed ako by hook or by crook.. Mga sis ano bang magandang electric na breastpump? Medela or Avent? Yung di masyadong complicated i-operate?

haay i just found out last night na kasama ko sa overnight company planning/meeting sa tagaytay next week. 9:30 am wednesday hanggang 5 pm ng thursday yun. confirmed namang may ref sa room so pwede pa rin talaga mag-pump but andami ko pala dapat dalhin na lalagyan and cooler dapat meron din

^ice packs and nursing cover din sis don't forget might be useful also to bring microwave steam bags for sterilizing like the one of medela para no worries ka sa pump parts mo.

Hi mga sis, have you tried using Spectra milk bags instead of Playtex Drop-Ins during pumping, then freeze, thaw, warm and feed (using Playtex Drop-Ins Nurser) in just 1 milk bag? Eto kasi yung mga plano ko gamitin: Medela Breastpump, Spectra Milk Bags, Playtex Drop-Ins Nurser bottles. (Mas mura kasi yung Spectra Milk Bags kaysa sa Lansinoh).

Another option namin is Medela Breastpump, Playtext Breastmilk Storage Kit, Playtex Drop-ins Liners and Playtex Drop-Ins Nurser bottles.

Ang concern ko kasi sa Playtex Drop-Ins Liners ay:
- baka masyado manipis for the whole process (pump, store/freeze, thaw, warm, feed), may nabasa ako na feedback na mas manipis yung 4oz. bottle liners as compared to 8oz. bottle liners
- baka may mga pin holes yung bottle liners
- baka ma-detach or mag-slip yung liner from the connector/adapter at masayang yung breastmilk

sis theathoinkxzs,  pwede ko gamitin spectra milkbags to directly store the milk that i pump from medela breast pump, tapos gamitin ko nadin yung same milk bag para freeze yung milk and kapag kailangan na feed, thaw sa loob ng ref then warm the spectra milk bag tapos yun na din mismo gamitin na bottle liner? para wala na yung step na isasalin from collecting bottle to milk bag, and para tipid din sa drop-in bottle liners.

i have read na pwede yung gamitin yung lansinoh milk bag sa drop-in bottles pero mas mahal yung lansinoh kaysa sa spectra.

comparable din ba yung nanny milk bags sa spectra milk bags? i mean, in terms of  using it to store, freeze, thaw, warm and feed using just 1 milk bag?

sis uberchic iba kasi yung opening ng spectra sa lansinoh. mas wide yung opening ng spectra. hindi ko pa natry gawin yon, pero advise ni babymama try mo muna sa water kung pwede.

regarding naman sa heatproof/cold proof, eto yung nakasulat sa spectra "Heat(cold) proof temperature 100C/-10C"

re: masakit ang electric pump
sa simula lang yata ito? dati kasi nasasaktan din ako. pero ngayon, hindi na. napansin ko din pagka medyo damp/wet ang breast shell (not sure if ito ang tamang term, pero ito yung rubber na nakakabit sa horn) nakaka alleviate ng pain. avent dual pump ang gamit ko btw.
