Sorry ang kulit ko. hahaha! I just want to make everything clear for me sissies! Baka kasi biglang magconfirm ng details si Embassy. I've read some forums re Korean Visa that you have to be honest daw. So at this part, it is even more confusing whether to declare or not! HAHA!

You may justify that on the date that you booked your flight and applied for your visa, hindi pa kayo married. Mas valid yun than to assume na dapat married name na. You can contest na what if di natuloy ang kasal? (Syempre knock on wood. Example lang)

Since Dec 27, 2016 wedding namin and maiden name ko yung nakalagay sa booked ticket namin, "Married" na ba yung status na ilalagay ko sa Korean Visa application ko kahit maiden name din yung nasa passport (expiry date: Apr 2018 pa) ko? O pwedeng single muna? hehe.

Nakakatakot lang din kasi mag-risk na surname na ni h2b ang gamitin sa ticket tapos madedelay pa pala yung MC and Passport renewal ko.

Hi sis! Suggestion ko lang you apply nalang your visa mga april next yr. 5 working days naman ang korean visa lalabas. Para by that time you might have na your nso copy mc .... Usually gusto ng embassy 3 mos prior the trip magapply so pasok ka naman sa timelines.. Hth

And baka pwede maiden name docs mo pero attached si MC and tick mo married ka, i guess understandable naman yun basta attached ang mc

thank you so much sis fornarina and sis stylus! hindi talaga ako mapakali. hehe! so I called AirAsia na to confirm and to be sure na din (though malayo pa. hehe).

They told me they can change my surname up to 24 hrs prior to departure basta makapagpresent ako ng MC and Updated Passport without any charge.

So now, depende na lang din kung maprocess namin agad yung MC and passport renewal.

yey! hehe! I guess, problem solved na.

Waiting for two to four months is too long for me to obtain a copy of the birth certificate of my son who was born just three weeks ago. How can I get a copy of my son's birth record at an earlier period?

If the birth/marriage/death occurred outside the Philippines, see Question 17.

If the birth/marriage/death occurred within the Philippines, you may file for "advance endorsement" at the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) of the city/municipality where the child was born. Advance endorsement means requesting the LCRO to advance ("endorse") a copy of the birth certificate to the National Statistics Office (NSO) ahead of the regular schedule of submission of civil registry documents. The LCRO will charge a fee for this service.

Please ensure that the copy to be forwarded to the NSO is the ORIGINAL COPY for the OFFICE OF THE CIVIL REGISTRAR GENERAL, or the OCRG Copy. Otherwise, you will be issued the NSO Feedback Form containing further instructions.

You may have the document forwarded to the NSO via your preferred local courier service; this will be to your account. Delivery should be addressed to:

The "advance endorsement" procedure is applicable for birth, marriage and death certificates registered within the Philippines.

sis fidelity88 i'm planning to apply for visa before the wedding..but after your post regarding the airline willing to change the last name I think i'll have to reconsider. I think I'll update my passport too if I receive our MC. My problem sis is baka matagalan yung MC at hindi ako makapagupdate ng passport before the trip. So confusing.

Hi sis MS_JanDel! I guess we can also consider sis fornarina's post. that way, hopefully they can expedite the process. However, it will also depend on the time interval between your wedding and your travel.

Let's say, naprocess nga yung MC namin ng sandali lang pero matagal pa yung appointment for passport renewal, also yung process and claiming ng passport, might as well hindi na lang namin papapalitan yung sa ticket ko at gamitin yung passport ko na maiden name pa. And I will consider sis fornarina's advice regarding sa visa application attachment. hehe!

^yes sis fornarina kami rin. will try to expedite the MC process pati yung passport renewal ipaparush na din. hehe. We have four months to process them both. I'm praying na umabot kami.

hi po magtatanong lang sana sa mga nakakuha na ng marriage certificate.. wala po ba talagang nakapirma sa 2nd page? sa may affidavit of solemnizing officer? thanks po sa makakasagot..

^oo nga noh sis. Sa amin din hindi nakapirma ang solemnizing officer. May issue kaya yun? Though meron notary public sa akin dun sa affidavit.
