Marriage Certificate after the wedding?

^walang ganung option sa marriage certificate sis. pag nagpagawa ka lang ng bagong ID ikaw ang bahala kung anong last name ang gagamitin mo

question lang po. paano kung hindi lahat ng ninong and ninang nakapirma dun sa certificate during the wedding? may mga absent kasing ninong/ninang and yung iba nasa ibang bansa tapos may nagproxy lang. pano po gagawin sa ganun?

sabi kasi hindi daw makukuha yung marriage certificate kung kulang pirma ng mga ninong/ninang.
and paano yung process nun kung papapirmahin sila? kelangan ba pumunta sila dun sa office ng church na pinagkasalan namin?

^ang sabi sa amin sa church, kelangan yung 2 pairs sa first page ng marriage cert may pirma. So we made sure na yung nilagay namin dun na names ay present sa wedding.

Kung hindi pa nasubmit sa city hall ang marriage cert nyo, ask the church na lang, i think pwede nila gawin yun na papirmahin muna yung nasa first page. Pag kinuha mo naman kasi ang authentic marriage cert 1 page lang yan. Pero kung may pirma yung pangalan sa first page alam ko okay na yun.

Parang wala naman issue kung proxy or hindi yun mga ninong/ninang. Kasi they're just there really to attest that you got married. Witnesses lang talaga.

We got a copy of our marriage certificate after a few weeks from the church. Binigay sa amin yun receiving copy from the civil registrar. Nalimutan na kasi namin.

hi sis,

hanggang ngayon nag aantay pa din kami ng marriage certificate sabi kasi after 6-8months daw yun bago makuha... pero ask ko lang paano kayo nagpalit agad ng surname? wala kaming mapakitang papeles lalo na pag mag asikaso na ko ng pagpapalit ng surname like sa pagrenew ng passport ids etc.... may PS din kami na nag regalo ng cheque and nakapangalan samin parehas with my hubbys surname hinahanapan ako ng id ng bank eh wala pang isang buwan nun nag paencash kami kaloka eh validity ng cheque is 6months only from date issued. until now im using my surname kasi pag kay hubby na surname gagamitin ko wala akong valid id na ipapakita =( so any other ways mga sis? hindi kasi kami nakakuha ng copy nung papers na pinirmahan namin nung wedding eh nawala na sa isip namin huhu

How will you check if may NSO marriage cert ka na? Its been 3 months since my wedding and although ssbi 6 months daw I I check if meron na.

^Sabi nga ng hubby ko banks normally dont accept to encash checks na nasa new surname ko na pero what he did was go to a bank he has strong ties with tas nakiusap sa relationship manager. Na-encash namin lahat agad. Wont use my married name yet habang walang valid ID.

^^I suggest you start with your employee's ID. Depending on your company's HR, most would be satisfied with a CTC of your MC which you can get from your local civil registry. SSS and Philhealth will also accept CTC. BIR, PAG-IBIG, DFA and banks require NSO MC.

Check the NSO website for when your MC will be available. Ours is supposed to take 2-4 months, but my mom already requested copies from the site (P350 ea) and she got a reply that it will still undergo manual verification. She was told to call psahelpline to follow up. She called up yesterday and they said they will check up on my MC and that they will text her after 8-10 days.

Hello girls, is there an expiration date for marriage certs that are being issued by NSO? Hehe parang ang stupid ng question ko now that na-type ko na hehe.

Reason for asking is because we're going the US and my visa is still under my maiden name and I need to bring a copy of our marriage certificate as supporting document. This copy of our marriage certificate is already issued by NSO pero I requested for this 2 years ago na.

Will this make a difference? Do I still need to request a "fresh" copy from NSO?

I just applied and successfully got a Schengen visa using only our non-NSO marriage contract as the supporting document to prove that I'm married. This was one of my biggest concerns right after the wedding, that i wouldnt be able to get the NSO one right away. Turns out the French authorities are considerate enough. Im not going to be supported by my husband though and i showed my own financial substantiation for the trip. But we wanted to declare that we're married since my husband's background (4-time Schengen visa holder, current one has 1-year duration and in circulation meaning he can renew it with just fewer reqts) might just help them give me a longer duration, haha.

i thought 6 months pa bago makuha ang NSO certified Marriage contract/certificate.  di naman pala.  i got married last november then i requested for NSO copy last week.  ayun, meron na pala.  sabi sa NSO hotline, usually 2-3 months lang daw makukuha na NSO copy ng marriage contract.  from the time i got married until now, i'm still using my maiden name.  kahit driver's license ko (which I renewed last January), maiden name pa kasi need nila NSO copy ng MC.  now that i have it, time to change IDs and tax status. whew! daming asikasuhin!

I booked Manila-Seoul-Manila today for our 4-day May 2017 trip. Our wedding will be on December 27, 2016. Okay lang kaya na ginamit ko yung maiden name ko nung nagbook ako? Worried lang kasi ako na baka hindi ako agad makarenew ng passport pag nag-apply kami ng visa. May brearing kaya yun when applying for visa?

RE Visa, question lang din. Kasi I have a US visa na sa 2024 pa mag-eexpire. I already renewed my passport last Feb with my maiden name pa since this August palang kasal. If magrerenew ako ng passport after 3yrs using my married name, wala pa rin naman problema sa US Visa ko yun no? Kasi yung US Visa ko nakakabit sa old passport ko na maiden name ko pa rin ang gamit. Or lagi nyo bang dala ang marriage certificate para sure?

^No issues naman; that's exactly my scenario last April when we traveled to the US.

My new passport was already my married name and the US visa was still attached to my old passport (maiden name) and the US visa itself was still under my maiden name. I just brought a copy of our marriage certificate to be sure but it was never asked for and the change in my last name was never brought up at all.

Since Dec 27, 2016 wedding namin and maiden name ko yung nakalagay sa booked ticket namin, "Married" na ba yung status na ilalagay ko sa Korean Visa application ko kahit maiden name din yung nasa passport (expiry date: Apr 2018 pa) ko? O pwedeng single muna? hehe.

Coming from an airline standpoint, kung ano ang name sa passport yun dapat ang name sa ticket ang rule. So kung applying ka ng visa and your passport still states your maiden name, better apply for your visa still using your maiden name

^This is very informative mga sis since me and hubby will aslo be travelling to Japan on december 2017 and our wedding is July 2017, so when we apply for our visa and buy our tickets, I'll be using my maiden name muna. My passport will expire in 2018 so i'll renew and update at the time.
