Marriage Certificate after the wedding?

Sa sobrang clueless ko, akala ko, makukuha na yung Marriage Certificate after the wedding ceremony mismo. All this time, akala ko, nasa parents ko or parents ni hubby yung marriage certificate, then one night, during my honeymoon, ask ko si hubby, sino nagtago ng marriage certificate? Ayun, dun ko lang nalaman na wala pala. 

Sa mga sis po dito na nagpakasal sa Caleruega, ano po ba ang mga steps after nyo ikinasal?

Iba pa pala yung Marriage Contract? I also read somewhere na if I want to speed up the process of getting the NSO authenticated copy eh I have to ask for endorsement from local register?

with our marriage certificate, since sabi ko di pa naman ganun ka importante, i've just found out that nireregister pala ng church sa local civil registry yun tapos ibinabalik sa kanila. i tried to get a copy sa local  civil registry ang sabi sa akin nasa church daw kukunin yun.... with NSO thing, normal na mapupunta yun doon pero ilang months pa ang bibilangin...

i agree wth sis chelle_peachy0524, nireregister pa yun ng church sa local civil registry, though di ko matandaan kung paano kami nakakuha ng copy 1-2 months after the wedding. then nagtry ako kumuha sa NSO through online, availability daw is 3 months after maregister :-)

pasubscribe Yes, same tayo ng experience shenggay after wedding, that night sabi ko kay hubby asan ang marriage contract natin? haha, and we both said "ewan ko"  parang mga adik lang, pagka-kasal wala na paki-alam hehe. Yun I called at St. Francis, after one month ko nakuha yung original which was from the local civil registry then the authenticated copy will take up to 3-6mos pa daw ang process ang tagal

got married at san agustin. the day of wedding itself, binigay na sa amin din agad yung original copy ng marriage contract. however, nso copy became available 3 months after pa.

is there a way to get the original marriage certificate after the wedding? our church is SSJ. we need it kasi we will be leaving for our honeymoon 3 days after the wedding eh baka tanungin kami when we get to immigration.

Anyway, I called Ms. Sally Dastas of St. Francis Xavier, pwede na daw kunin. Need na kasi ni Hubby kasi ia-apply nya ko ng dependent pass. Sabi ko, baka need pa eh NSO copy, hindi naman daw. Ok na daw yung original copy.

Hello sis, for those who got married in QC, ano po ang process sa pagkuha ng certified true copy ng marriage certificate? Gaano katagal yung makukuha.. Need daw po kasi ito para makapagchange status...

Sa amin, ganito ang nangyari.

Sa San Sebastian Basilica kami kinasal.  15 days after, makukuha mo na yung copy ng marriage contract na pinirmahan nyo sa Church.  Isang copy sa iyo, isang copy pinadala nila sa NSO ng Manila.  December 29, 2012 kami kinasal and we needed an authenticated copy ng NSO for my passport renewal.  So, pinuntahan namin sa City Hall ng Maynila.  We were informed, hindi na doon pinoprocess, so pumunta kami sa bandang Sta. Mesa, Legarda.  Maling office pa rin daw.  Dun daw sa malapit sa SM Centerpoint. 

Pagdating dun, binigyan kami ng post it note dun sa copy namin na nareceive na ng regional office.  Pwede na raw namin kuhanin sa MAIN.  So ayun, the day after, pinuntahan ko sa east avenue.  I think I got the yellow copy after two weeks.

I got two copies na.  Buti na lang I did, kasi sa DFA, they get the original copy.

^ the thing sis is we are not going to get married sa church. more like Christian wedding and we're bringing our own pastor from Manila to Boracay kasi ang laki ng hinihingi sa min if we were to get a solemnizing officer from Boracay mismo. hehe.

but thanks for the input sis. ngayon ko lang naisip kasi tong part na to kasi i thought all the time na yung couple ang gagawa nito. medyo gahol sa oras si pastor if ever sha pa maglalakad sa local civil registrar ng Aklan since the next day eh flight na agad nya.

Hi Sis engr_neechee! Thank you for your info.  Ibig bang sabihin hindi na nagbibigay ng marriage certificate yung civil registry sa city hall but yung NSO na lang? And dun lang sa east ave branch ng NSO naavail yun?

^ yun ang pagkakaintindi ko.  Sa regional office ng NSO sa Manila nirereceive, tapos ipapasa siya sa main. 

Usually, 6 months is the waiting time kung wala kang gagawing intervention.  So six months after mong kinasal, pwede ka nang tumawag sa NSO hotline para makita ang Marriage Certificate mo na authenticated.  Matagal daw to talaga.  If you don't have any urgent need for it, you can just wait for it.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to share my experience about this.

Hubby and I got married early this January. We had a garden wedding and we filed our papers ourselves at city hall on the same week. Usually ang solemnizing officer (minister) or church nagfafile pero garden wedding kasi kami at wala kaming specific church na umasikaso. Our minister just said try lang namin na kami mag-file. Minsan daw kasi hindi pumapayag kung hindi ang solemnizing officer ang mag-file. Anyway, we were able to file our papers at city hall. It only took a few minutes and we were able to get our copy of the certificate of marriage signed by the civil registrar. Kumuha na rin kami ng certified photocopies in case kailangan.

Just today, I called NSO Makati to ask kung kelan pwede magrequest ng NSO copy of the marriage certificate. Sabi try daw namin first week of March. Pero medyo na-confused din ako sa sinabi niya kasi may sinasabi siyang mag-aapply kami in person or something. Nalito ako pero di ko natanong.

I also messaged facebook.com/citizenservices and they said "it usually takes 3-6 months before you make a request for an NSO copy."

So yun. Tagal pala talaga. Atat na ko magpalit ng mga official docs para matapos na.

Hi mga Sissy!

Same kami ni  medusa_25 garden wedding din kami last Oct 2013 but honorable officer yung nagkasal sa amin. Kailangan lang is parent consent since were both 22 yrs old. LDR kami medyo conflict yung wedding date namin sa uwi ni hubby. Plano talaga namin is Oct 20 pero ang uwi nya ay Oct 18. So dapat bago kumuha ng marriage license 10 days before the wedding. Pero nagawan ng paraan since yung honorable officer  and yung mga taga civil registrar ka close ng family ko Oct 20 yung Wedding Ceremony. pero makukuha namin yung marriage contract namin ng Oct 28 then yung din ang date ng marriage namin. LOL Then nung kukunin na namin yung marriage contract namin ayun binigay naman agad pero need namin ng NSO copy para sa pag file ng petition ni hubby ayun sila na nag endorsed sa NSO nagooffer naman sila 350 lang. 1 month na kuha na namin na file nila ng November 4 then nakuha na namin ng December 4 Rush sya

Pwede yun rush nga lang. same lang din ang bayad. kasi yung munisipyo naman ang nag ayos sa amin. Kakilala kasi namin tapos may kilala sila sa nso kaya napabilis.

You can get your MC at the church anytime. may duplicates yan. The original sa church talaga kinukuha sa parish office. if you try to get from NSO matagal mo pa makukuha.

Got ours right after the wedding ceremony (Don Bosco, Makati). Sa parents nila inendorse, kasi alam ata ng church coordinator na mawawala na sa isip namin yun ni hubby. Pero yung binigay nila samin, wala pa talaga mismo tatak ng NSO. Nakuha namin yung sa NSO, 2 or 3 months after the wedding ata. Pero sabi samin ng nakausap namin sa simbahan, available na daw yung sa munisipyo mismo. And since tinamad kami pumunta ni hubby that time, naghintay nalang kami, and sa NSO nalang kami nagrequest (yung sa SM Malls)

Share ko lang, ang weird nung sa officemate ko. Civil sila kinasal (in Pasig ata), and sila mismo ang pinagtype lahat ng details dun sa marriage certificate. Ending, since gusto ng munispyo type writer ang gamit, ang dami nilang nagastos na forms, kasi di pantay pantay ang pagkatype nila. tsk. Weird lang. Kasi pagkaalam ko, dapat yung sa munisipyo ata nagtatype neto, hindi yung ikakasal. hehe. not sure lang if ganun din yung sa iba.
