Mag invest sa property ka-share si bf: deal or no deal?
« on: July 27, 2012, 07:10:19 pm »
Hi married sisses!

I have a bf for almost 2yrs now and we're starting to talk about marriage although di pa siya nagpopropose. Kasi sinabi ko na magiging ready na ko for marriage pag 30yrs old na ko which is 3yrs from now. Yun nga lang, it seems like magkaiba kami ng preferences:
Gusto nya sa condo kami mag-invest, gusto ko naman house & lot sa subdivision sana. Kasi maliit lang mga unit sa condo tska for me hindi ideal na sa ganun lalaki yung magiging anak namin. At eto pa, sabi nya dapat daw mag start na daw kami maghanap ng bibilhing condo mga 2-3years before we get married. Sayang daw kasi kung magrerent lang kami.

He's nice bf naman kaso parang hindi kami magkakasundo sa decision niya for us.
Anyways, pano nyo ba nacoconvince yung hubby nyo na mag give way sa nyo pag di nyo gusto yung decision nya?
Is it wise ba to get a housing loan agad agad before the wedding? Kaso pag nag start kami ng housing loan, baka mahirapan na kami makaipon for wedding and for baby's future, tama ba? (knock on wood!)
Is it better for a family to live in a condo or sa 2-storey house?

Thanks in advance!  :)

For me,since bf-gf pa lang kayo,...No No for a joint investment,mag-aswa nga nagkakahiwalay eh(di naman lahat)
And since magkaiba kayo ng preference as of now, better invest sa gusto mo,sya sa gusto nya if you two guys ended up together edi sell the other properties if nagbago ang mind nyo, since by that time makikita nyo naman if mas maganda sa condo or sa house eh....

Sa house ako,So for me,onvest ka sa house, then for the wedding?maybe dun kayo pwedeng mag-joint account di ba?...For the baby?maybe you can save pa din naman, kahit mga 1/8 of your salary,if kayo nga talaga madadagdagan din in the future.....

RAINBOW, IMO, the house & lot is a better option.
You buy the lot, put it in your name; let him spend for the house.
Pag nag break kayo -- you tell him:  Sige, bitbitin mo bahay mo. Alis!

No deal!

Guys should be taking care of things like those... at least in my opinion.

Better bring your money where it will grow, hindi pa naman kayo kasal nor engaged.

parang gusto kasi ni bf gayahin yung officemate nya na may hinuhulugang bahay with his gf. naturnoff lang ako nung narinig ko yung ganung idea from him..
ayoko pa naman ng mga usapang joint account or investment pag mag bf/gf palang.. idealistic kasi ko, ineexpect ko na we have our own savings tapos potluck nalang pag kelangan na namin ng funds for weddings and beyond.

^sis ohcmon, ganyan din naisip ko nun. dapat nga siya yung magprovide o mag invest on his own.

No Deal. Let the guy spend for you. He is the provider dapat.

I had a friend ganyan, they invested in a house, then broke-up, the guy keeps the house and pays it to his ex-GF, and un na rin ang dreamhouse nila ng NEW gf nya.

Big NO. Not to dwell on the negative side but you always need to think of possibilities, and frankly, think about yourself. I suggest you invest on your own :)

^^same thing happened to my friend, invested in a house and the guy kept the house nung magbreak sila.

Ok Lang din ako sa pag invest sa property Kung may plan na to get married at di naman afford ng bf to buy a property on his own. Pero make sure na sa yo nakapangalan para if ever mag break sa yo pa din yung pinaghirapan mo.

i agree with the consensus here.  you yourself have doubts already with the relationship, you don't want the added complexity and headache of going into a joint venture that may or may not work.
it doesn't mean na you don't love him just because you won't go with his plans.  you're only being smart to protect yourself against future heartaches.

No sis. I have mga friends ganyan ang ginawa and when they broke up kagulo sila. yun isa couple pa dun engaged na ah then they called off the wedding like 2 months before.. *:( In my opinion ok lang if engaged na talaga kayo, but not when you`re just talking about future plans *:) If ever naman gusto niyo talaga, have a legal contract/agreement in case di mag work out relationship

The fact that it is causing you to worry, the answer is obviously 'No'. Wait til both of you are married. It would be very difficult should both of you decide to separate.
