^It shouldn't be. Actually yan yung ginawa namin when we went via BKK on CebuPac connecting on Bangkok Air to Mandalay. Hand carry din kami. But you have to check first with your connecting airline if they have a transfer desk where you can check in for the connecting flight. Or if they have the advance online check-in facility, all you have to do is print your onward boarding pass then proceed to the departure gate.

Since I'm done with the trip, I can finally answer your query, @heavensent.

For my booking, I had to exit KL's immigration and enter again. Had no issues naman with this.

Trip report: Bagan is amazing! Super picturesque!
Was able to catch two sunrises and two sunsets (one in a temple and one in river) - we only had 4 whole days in Myanmar but I think it was enough for us. Kahit na mala - amazing race yung trip.

Day 1 - we got a cab to take as around Yangon, then took an overnight bus to Bagan.
Day 2 - Immediately after arriving in Bagan, we got a cab for a temple sunrise, then we toured the temples of Bagan,
Day 3 is Mt Popa and river sunset (we were supposed to have a boat sunset but it was canceled).
Day 4 Free temple day tour from our hostel (need to rent an ebike for this).

We stayed in Ostello Bello in New Bagan - they offer free day tours, free sunset / sunrise tours on specific days, they also offer half day mt popa, river sunset cruise.

Akala ko di ko kaya mag ebike, madali lang pala! And super fun!

Was able to score a lot of thanaka paste (hopefully my friends will be able to use them!) and some tamarind flakes.

^ Hi! Hindi naman mahaba pila sa immigrations na nadaanan namin, but maglagay ka din ng allowance due to flight delays, etc.

We did not get to ride balloons, pero na discuss na ata dito yung balloons over bagan and oriental ballooning.

Re sunrise balloon ride, we took Oriental Ballooning since their balloons had a max capacity of only 8 passengers, two on each basket's corner. Unlike sa Balloons over Bagan max nila 16 passengers. Balloon season is from October to March only in case you're thinking of booking a ride.

Yes, no direct flight as of now. You can go via Bangkok or SG or KL.

Tapos October to March lang pala ang hot air balloons... dalawang companies lang daw ang nag-ooperate until mid-April.

And need to book early daw kasi mabilis ma-fully booked...

Just booked tickets for myanmar trip january next year (after new year). We plan not to go to Yangon, nabook namin bangkok (DMK) to Mandalay via airasia. Manila to bangkok wait ko na lang sale ng cebu pacific or pal.

Backread muna ako since matagal pa naman travel dates namin,kuha ako ideas.

Went to Myanmar last February and I can say that It's one of my best trips so far. Bagan temples are incredible. I highly recommed SkyView Hotel in Bagan. Super accommodating ng staff nila.
