sis purpleish,oo nag solo travel ako last year SG-Malaysia This Sept naman kasama ko sis ko, sa Sleepy Sams ako nagpareserve, Bugis area, 4 mins walk drom MRT lang.

Ok lang ba magwalk-in na lang sa mga hostel  gaya ng fragrance hotel kaysa magpabook dito? Sa uss ba if 3 yrs old ang bata walang bayad? anong masarap na kainan sa orchard road? un hindi pricey. tska sa bandang esplanade din?

^sis, better magpa-reserve coz mahirap if fully-booked na pala sila . dapat sa fragrance hotel kami dati pero nung nagcheck kami online, no available room na. sa mga malls ng orchard road, may mga food republic dun, counterpart ng food court natin. Sa USS, free po 3yrs old and below.

I think it's okay but I won't advise it... since baka mahirapan ka pagpunta from one hostel to another to check kung may available room sila..

hmmm.. do you want authentic SG food?

Why not try sa hawker mismo? prices range from $3sgd... there's some great hawker places at Bugis, Little India and Chinatows.. or Newton Hawker Centre.

If Orchard naman,.. puro restos yun eh saka if its near Orchard MRT you want.. massugest ko lang na hindi pricey is yung foodcourts sa Wisma Atria and Lucky Plaza.. ION Orchard naman may mga restos dun siguro for 1 person you can spend around $20sgd.. not pricey pa rin naman to think that some restos offer 3 course meals for $70+.. 

If not near Orchard MRT.. though still in Orchard Road.. there's
* Malls to Tanglin Road (Far East Shopping Centre, The Forum, Orchard Towers) - a lot of cheaper restos and food courts na din here..
* Somerset Area (313@ Somerset, Centrepoint, OrchardCentral, Orchard Plaza, Concorde Hotel) - sometimes we hangout sa Cuppage Plaza, beside Concorde Hotel there's a good fusion indian restaurant dun.. Concorde hotel also offers a cheap local food buffet around $20++ per person.. Restos in malls like 313 and OrchardCentral are also like the ones you see from other malls..
* Dhoby Ghaut Area (Plaza Singapura and Park Mall) - yung basement sa Plaza Singapura has a lot of food cart style

anyway, medyo vague, siguro you can specify what is your budget.. I'll help you find a good and reasonably priced resto/place in Orchard area

Esplanade area naman... there's Makansutra.. food starts from $5sgd .. which is okay na rin.. you can also try the foodcourt on Marina Bay Sands.. and you can also walk a bit to Raffles Place area to go to the Lau Pa Sat Food Centre.

Ang plan namin is 4 days and 3 nights. Isasama ko na anak ko na 3 yo. Frangrance Hotel na lang kami magpapabook para makamura. Gusto lang namin pumunta sa USS. 30thousand for the 3 of us ang budget namin. Deduct na yun airlines dun. Sa 30k isasama ko na accomodation,food and mrt. ok na ba yun? Ok na kami sa mga hawker. If meron konting natira try namin mga restos sa mall. Ayoko yun mga authentic sing food.hehe. D ako ganun kaadventurous sa pagkain tska may kasama kaming bata.
   may mga nagtitinda bang mga damit sa mga mrt station? Yun friend ko kc nabanggit nya merong mga cheap clothes like dresses sa mga stations ng MRT or sa may Novena station ata.

sis esor, give us feedback re: Sleepy Sams ah wala pa rin kaming naboobook na hostel pero sa end of October-November pa naman kami. sure kayang 4 min-walk lang yun? chineck ko kasi sa google maps, 900 meters.

sis rensky.. im SG based so im not sure if you're budget is enough.. let's wait for the others to reply about the budgeting... but for me lang.. if 30k is all in for 3 persons, 4 days 3 nights.. hmmm.. depende kung may makuha kayo na airfare na sobrang mura and also dont forget ang travel tax and terminal fee.. if hindi kasama yun sa 30k i think okay na yun

also note na USS pa lang for 2 persons would amount to around 5-6k pesos na (kasama yung transpo and food inside)

sis, you said okay na kayo sa hawker food right? so you're eating SG food na rin.. Chicken rice, Char Siew, Dimsum and Noodles.. d naman adventuruous food yun :-D and I think magugustuhan naman ng anak mo yun.. anyway.. nagkalat naman ang fast food dito so hindi mauubusan ng food options...

re: clothes

usually sis, a lot.. I would say 80% of MRT stations are connected to malls na so di mahihirapan magshopping.. meron din mga "shop carts" style.. you're planning to stay at Fragrance Hotel right? Is it the branch at Lavender? (marami kasing branches), if yes, its 1 MRT station away lang from Bugis MRT.. dun you can buy "cheap" clothes.. yun kasi ang counterpart ng "baclaran" dito...

Been searching hotels good for 4 people. 2 dults and 2 kids. Pero nakikita ko 1 child lang allowed per room. Any hotel suggestion mga sis for those who went to SG with 2 kids? Thanks!

sis ch3, how old ba yung kids? if very young i think okay naman yun na wag na muna ideclare upon reservation.. san ka ba nagssearch? we usually go through agoda.com.. kami nga usually lagi 5 persons... 2 adults 3 children.. ginagawa na lang namin na 2 adult 2 children kasi gusto namin 1 room lang.. kasya naman mom ko at yung bunso ko na kapatid kahit sa isang single bed.. hehe.. tapos pagdating sa hotel if mapansin may extrang bata... bayad na lang kami extra for the breakfast buffet.

@Chinkee: Thanks for the tip. Dinedeclare ko kasi baka kasi pag dating dun ayaw i accomodate yung na book ko. My kids are 6 and 4 years old pa naman. Anong hotel ka nag book when you were 5 in the room?

marina bay sands sis.. also concorde hotel (orchard).. though I know you're planning sa resorts world sentosa area...

May time na I accompanied my friends at Quality Hotel (balestier).. 3 lang sila.. pati 3 lang din dineclare nila na occupants but I was able to accompany them to their room upon check in.. di naman sinita bakit 4 kami na paakyat.. anyway.. that's another story.. but better nga siguro kung ask yung hotel..

let's wait na lang for feedback from other sisses here who traveled with 2 kids..

edit: I dont think those premier hotels are maarte sa kids.. its just those Hostels and Inns na medyo strict.. (from my experience lang)

sis esor ...sis meron den ba silang private room na may sariling CR?? ok yan malapit lang sa MTR yung South East naman mga 10mins walk siguro halos tapat lang ng shoppingan sa Bugis...

sis katniss ...sis you can try South East Asia Hotel $100/night SGD nasa Bugis den and malapit sa lahat diyan kame nag stay last year... mga 10mins walk from MTR, safe ang area kahit madaling araw na kame umuuwe... may nearby temple, tapat lang ng Hawker, andun na siya mismo sa area ng shoppingan sa Bugis, lapit den Bugis Junction... madame mga kainan na malapit like Mcdo, Toast Box, KFC etc. and 711 for 24hrs store...

May mga hoyel naman na pwede mag accommodate ng 4 adults pero expect nyo na medyo pricey.

Yun nga sis. I'm looking for not that pricey hotel kasi tutulogan lang naman namin. Whole day will be wondering around so hindi talaga namin ma utilize ang facilities ng hotel if we would consider an expensive kind of hotel.
