Hi sisses! Meron na bang bayfront mrt station ang circle line? Mas mapalit ba ito pag punta sa mbs? Last yr kasi wala pa eh. Nagtaxi kami ni hubby from merlion park to mbs. Mukhang maganda yung garden by the bay. Nagyayaya ng sg based friend ko na include daw namin sa iti namin. Sabay ng shopping in mbs. Worth it kaya? Hindi lang kasi ako mashado mahilig sa ganun eh. Pero kung worth it, we might give it a shot narin. Here's our temporary itinerary:

Aug17- arrive in sg at 2:10pm. Check in at holiday inn hotel orchard at 4pm. Rest for a while. Go to merlion park for picture taking then dinner at no signboard esplanade.
Aug18-breakfast at the hotel. shopping in orchard road particularly takashimaya, ion mall, wisma atria and somerset. Lunch at din tai fung wisma atria and dinner at makasuntra gluttons bay.
Aug19- breakfast at the hotel. lunch and shopping in mbs. Garden by the bay. Dinner at jumbo seafood restaurant clark quay.
Aug20- breakfast at the hotel. whole day in uss! Dinner and shopping at vivo city.
Aug21- breakfast at the hotel. 11am to 1:30pm last minute shopping in orchard. Back to the hotel. Go to the airport for our 4:50pm flight back to manila. 

It will be my 3rd time in sg but still i'm very excited! I really love the place, food and system there!  it will be my 1st time to ride jetstar. Sana ok siya.

Try nyo rin yung Botanical Garden especially the National Orchid Garden.

@ sis chinkee: wow very convenient na pala to go to mbs! Dati kasi ang layo pa ng nilakad namin ni hubby from mbs to promenade station eh. Thanks so much sis! I need to download the updated sg mrt route na pala to my itouch.

^pwede na yan sis, free pa accommodation nyo, laking tipid na nun. Ginagawa ko na nga din yung expenses breakdown namin for Sept travel, 4 days din kami dun. SG - KL, nasa 13kphp na yung computation ko (Terminal fee, travel tax, Accommodation, USS, Harry Potter Exhibit, KL ticket via Air Asia, EZ link card)

If you have time, you may go to Singapore National Museum.  It is a good interactive museum with lots of facts and stories to tell. 

Also, Chinese garden and Clark quay for nightlife (or Chijmes). 

On sept, legoland in Malaysia (near SG - MY border) will open.  This is also a must visit.

As mentioned by sis dr.smile, Gardens By the Bay... pero meron pa ring parts na di pa open. And if you're a Harry Potter fan, the Exhibition's until Sept.30

naggagawa na rin kami ng iti namin for our SG-Batam-Malacca-KL trip this coming October.

^^we're thinking if isasama pa namin ang Legoland. baka kasi di sulit kasi baka di pa sya fully gawa. waa. pero gusto ko magpunta dun. haha!

Tnx mga sis sa lahat ng input ninyo, very useful mga tips dito sa thread natin, mwah to all! madali lang magtravel by mrt or bus. kahit walk everyday enjoy naman dami kasi malls! i miss the one dollar ice cream! We enjoyed our SG trip, we love GSS! we wanna go back next year!

re: Promenade to MBS
actually dati yan din ginagawa namin.. from promenade mrt lakad to MBS.. pero di ko advise na yun kasi medyo malayo at wala pang pwedeng sightseeing on the way..

Suggestion for walking route with a lot of possible sight seeing..

1. From City Hall MRT to Esplanade - just follow the sign going to Esplanade (nasa loob naman ng mall so hindi mainit saka may mga shops na pwede magshopping..)
2. Esplanade to Merlion - Photo Ops In and Out Esplanade Theater, Bridge going the Merlion (Flyer View, MBS View, City/Buildings View)
3. Merlion to Helix Bridge - go back to Esplanade direction, right turn after nung connecting bridge.. malawak naman yung walkway so makikita na yun (mas malapit na din yung SG Flyer dito, sights: Makansutra and sometimes may concert)
4. Helix Bridge to MBS

sis, sunod sunod ba yan? Be wary lang sa time difference ng Batam and SG (1 hour) kung after ng Batam niyo eh diretso kayo ng coach sa Malacca (from SG)...

Sis chinkee kami ginawa namin from MBS mall lakad kami to esplanade tapos to merlion tapos balik sa MBS mall hehe

Pasali mga sis! Biglaang lakad kame with my siblings and bf on sept kaso wala akong makuhang cheap accomodation.. Nakakainis yung sa hostels ayaw ng bata, may kasama kasi kameng 1.

Safe to stay ba in little india area coz ive been looking sa wimdu.com for apartments and some dun ang address eh.
