i got my airport to dbr1 at 200. ok na para sa akin kasi malayo talaga. i have the number of the driver if you need it. the rest are a total rip  off. dbr1 to alona was 250. alona to dbr1 was 100. dbr1 to beefarm at 150. bee farm to dbr1 at 250.

^mahal nga. pero actually, medyo understandable yung Bellevue to Alona na tricycle kasi medyo "out-of-the-way" ang Bellevue, i mean wala pa talagang masyadong establishments dun.

ang pinagtataka ko lang, walang free shuttle ang Bellevue to Alona? sa kasosyalan ng Bellevue, di man lang nagpro-provide ng shuttle? kahit man lang sana every hour yung shuttle pwede na, kesa naman none at all! weird.

i did a little searching pero walang masyadong nabanggit dito sa GT about it and its beach. kasi i was reading reviews in Agoda, mostly positive reviews and mataas pa nga ang overall rating, 8.5. pero may nabasa akong 2 reviews (only) na hindi daw swimmable ang beach. magiging malaking issue samin to kasi our family super loves the beach, so hindi acceptable samin pag hindi swimmable ang beach. though exception lang naman yung 2 reviews na yun kasi ang majority ay matataas ang rating at magaganda ang reviews. i just wanted to know bakit kaya may nakapag-comment ng ganito. maybe some of you know...

^wala sis, nagtanong ako 500/way. free transfer lang airport/seaport. bawat kilos mo sa bellevue may bayad. magpapa-laundry nga sana kami kasi 1 week na kaming nasa travel kaso ang rate 120/piece sabi ko kay bf ako na lang maglalaba ng damit nya sa CR. di ko pa masyadong naenjoy kasi bigla akong nagkasakit, vertigo pala. nagpatawag na kami ng doctor kasi di ko na kaya sobrang hilo & suka. mas gusto kong himatayin nong sinabi ng staff na may additional charge na 2,000 consultation. eh hinipo lang naman tyan ko & dibdib

^^About Bellevue, I think isip nila is para corner nila clients nila. Dun lang talaga mag-stay sa resort so dun lahat ang gastos. They do have airport shuttles. I'll be in Bohol next week and sasadyain ko itong resort na ito to see for myself.

About Eskaya, sobrang mahal na OA na talaga yung prices nila kaya siguro wala kang feedback makuha masyado. Plus maliit lang yung beach nila unlike Bellevue's. You're paying for the amenities lang talaga dito which is really high-end. I am hoping with Bellevue's opening meron na silang ka-kompetensya so maybe their rates can be competitive rin.

^yes sis, mas ok pa rin naman food sa bellevue kesa lost horizon. halos hindi rin nagkakalayo price nila. isa pa lang kasi yong open na resto sa bellevue kaya nag-try kami kumain sa alona. masarap hawaiian burger, pati presentation winner. yon lang medyo nadisappoint ako sa buffet breakfast konti lang choices. eh galing kaming radisson blu sobrang dami ng food kaya hindi ko maalis na i-compare sila dahil mas pricey sa bellevue kaya mas mataas expectation ko

^^yes, you're right, baka nga para ma-corner ng Bellevue yung clients nila, na sa kanila na rin kakain, etc. naisip ko lang yung free shuttle kasi when i was in Bali, the resort that we stayed in had an hourly free shuttle na may ruta, hindi lang sa beaches pero pati sa town center. may oras siya, so alam mo rin kung kailan may shuttle along the different drop-off points so pwede ka rin sumabay sa shuttle pabalik sa hotel. i just thought it was a good benchmark na sana gayahin ng ibang higher-end resorts, hehe. and the hotel has three restaurants pa niyan ha, so ibig sabihin hindi nila kino-corner ang clients nila, pati sa town center naghahatid sila. (baka mas courteous lang ang Balinese... hehe kidding!)

anyway, re: Eskaya, i realized na wag ko na tanungin kasi "sobrang mahal na OA" naman pala siya, hehe. tsaka kung uber mahal niya, kahit 2 reviews lang yun na nagsabi na hindi swimmable ang beach, naku wag na lang kung ganun kamahal...

@mama squeak!, familiar ka din ba sa rates ng Henann? kasi i was asking about it a few pages ago, walang makasagot sakin... "sobrang mahal na OA" din ba dun? erratic kasi yung mock-booking sa website nila..

We stayed at Alona Golden Palm Resort when we went to Bohol last December. I was in charge of booking our resort so super research ako saan maganda mag-stay. First choice was Dumaluan kasi nakapunta na cousin ko don and ok daw kaso nabasa ko negative reviews sa Trip Advisor so naghanap ako ng iba. While on TA, nabasa ko about Golden Palm and the positive reviews so nagpa-reserve na agad ako. Family suite on the 3rd floor na lang yung available nila so we had no choice. We were 7 adults and my 9 yo son. The family suite consists of 2 rooms and a shared bathroom. It also had a shared balcony overlooking the pool and garden. It is actually a house which the owners turned into a resort. It had a swimming pool and bar/restaurant area. Reasonable naman yung prices nila sa bar/restauran kaso limited yung choices. Hindi sya beachfront pero meron naman way going to the beach, 3 mins walk andon ka na. They had well-kept rooms and a well-maintained lawn.  During our stay, mostly foreigners yung other guests, on our 3rd and last day na lang kami nakakita ng Pinoy guest sa resort. Very friendly yung mga owners and staff. The resort was like our home away from home. Babalik kami don for sure.

For our countryside tour, we got the services of Kuya Tatsky and yung na-assign na tour guide/driver sa amin ay si Rex. All praises kami kay Rex. Maingat mag-drive at matulungin. Na-enjoy namin yung Countryside tour kahit nakakapagod. Medyo umulan lang nung Nasa Shiphaus na kami pero buti na lang at tumila din nung papunta na kami sa next destination. Pinaka-gusto namin yung sa Simply butterfly, very informative yung tour don. Don't forget to try their ice cream too. Mga 4 or 5 na din kami natapos sa tour.

For our sea tour, si Kuya Vito naman ang na-assign sa amin. Ok naman sya. Reklamo ko lang, hindi sya nagsasalita at may kalumaan na yung mga life vests nya. Sabi ng Mom ko baka daw hindi marunong mag-tagalog, kaya ganon. Para tuloy wala kaming kasama na tour guide. Pero magaling sya magmaneho ng bangka kasi naibalik nya kami sa Alona ng maayos. Haay... napaka-alon during our sea tour and sad kasi hindi kami nakakita ng dolphins. Yun pa naman ang gusto ng anak ko. Sobrang nerbyos ko nga habang naghahanap ng dolphins kasi parang ang layo layo na namin tapos maalon pa. Pag maalon daw, talagang hindi nagpapakita ang mga dolphins so dumerecho na kami sa Balicasag. Dun nag-enjoy ang anak ko sa pag snorkel. Pansin ko lang, yung ibang mga bangkero nag-yoyosi tapos dun tinatapon sa beach. Tama ba yon? Sana ma-realize nila na pag nasira na yung mga beach don, wala na pupuntang mga turista at mawawalan sila ng trabaho. And the saving grace of our sea tour,  yung Virgin beach. Ang ganda! Sana nga dun na lang kami nag-stay ng mas matagal. Mga 1pm nakabalik na kami sa Alona.

Sorry for my long post. All in all, enjoy ang family namin sa aming Bohol adventure.

We are also planning to stay at bellevue hotel when we go to bohol in March. Sana nga they offer free shuttle to alona beach, kahit twice a day lang na two way (am and pm). Mahal din kasi P500 one way, sulit if marami. Eh kung 1 or 2 adults lang, sakit sa bulsa!  Thinking siguro nila, if they offer free shuttle, they will lose potential customers sa restaurant nila. But they should think of it as bridging the gap, na more people will prefer to stay at their resort vs the same priced resorts at alona beach kasi may free shuttle naman. Yun ang edge nila para hindi ma-bore ang guests sa resort (especially sa food).

we were at bohol jan 17-19. nagpareserve ako ng tour kay tatsky a few days before arrival so pwede naman not too advanced. pero depende rin siguro kasi sabi 10 drivers lang sila so pag nagkataon marami silang tour ng araw that you're supposed to do yours, then better reserve early na din.

we stayed at dbr2, ok naman we like the superior deluxe room. apat kami and it was still comfortable. we were placed in a room near the pool. if you have elderly people with you, request for a room at the ground floor kasi may building sila dun na mataas, i think 4 floors yun. at times medyo mabagal ang service but generally we had a pleasant stay.

the food at dbr2 resto is good, medyo expensive nga lang. there's dbr grill at dbr1, a 1 to 2-minute walk away so not much of a hassle. at tulad ng sabi ng ibang GTalkers dito, mas mura talaga ang food dun. you just have to deal with the flies.

na-experience ko na magstay sa alona beach and bolod beach (where dumaluan and BBC is), ang opinion ko if you want the puerto galera or boracay style na maraming restos at mga tao sa shore then go for alona. pero sa tingin ko (correct me lang if i'm wrong), the beachfront accommodation at alona is more expensive compared to dbr2. kung gusto nyo sa alona pero tipid mode, there are plenty of accommodation na hindi beachfront pero decent rooms din naman. we stayed at paragayo resort before.

sa bolod beach, it's more quiet and relaxing. i like the landscaping and the hammock chairs by the seaside sa dbr2, very relaxing talaga. sa gabi, if you're staying at dbr2, may nightlife din naman. magaling yung band na tumutugtog dun, yung boses at music nila akala mo recorded.

re: beach, sa experience ko kasi mataas pa ang tubig sa bolod beach at around 5 pm whereas sa alona talagang low tide na, hindi ka na maka-swim. but high tide and low tide are natural phenomena that i don't really understand so i'm not sure kung nagbabago ba to. pero take note, may mga seaweed at corals din sa bolod beach kaya if these things are a big deal to you, i'm giving you a heads up.

from bohol to cebu, we will have to ride a ferry right? pinapabook ba yun advance or pwede on the day na lang bumili? saka ano ang maganda na ok na ferry?

^ yes sis kung 1 way yung ticket pwedeng on the day na den bumili ng ticket... kame kasi roundtrip ang kinuha so bago pa kame bumalik ng cebu meron na talagang reservation... Oceanjet, ok na ferry..

@erl - Sis, the family suite at Alona Golden Palm is 5k per night for 4 pax. In excess of 4, meron additional na 500 per pax. We paid 13k for 2 nights since party of 7 adults kami and yung anak ko na 9 yo free na. We just made a deposit of 3k for our reservation and the balance/additional meals namin upon check-out na lang namin binayaran. You just need to bring the deposit slip to present to them. Accomodations and use of facilities/amenities lang talaga yon ha. The meals are at your own cost na. Hope this helps.

kung airfare lang at accommodation hindi sis. sa groupon ba iyang tour? kasi kung doon di ka rin makakapili ng date na gusto mo baka fully booked na iyong airline. mas ok sis kung ikaw magpapabook ng airline at accommodation tapos saka ka magpapackage tour sa mga tour operators doon.

pag 1130 yung ferry, mga what time kami dapat andun kung bibili pa lang kami ng ticket saka may waiver pa ata kami pipirmahan para sa infant?
