just arrived yesterday after 4 days-3 nights in bohol.
Ang masasabi ko lang, ang mahal ng food ha!

Lost horizon is beach front and makakaligo ka pa din sa dagat. Actually maganda din ang location nya kaso short lang ang shoreline at mahal ang food.

What will you do if few days before your trip you called your hotel (Grand Luis Lodge) to arrange for the airport transfer and the hotel tells you that you are not booked with them.  You are fully paid with agoda since two months back and have all the Agoda booking confirmation long before.  Then you make an international call to check with agoda, which will make you wait for 15 mins and thenyou  decide to hang up because the call is already costing you so much.  Then you will receive an email from agoda saying: Kindly be informed that the hotel has advised that they do not have your booking and are fully booked, we are able to fully refund you for this booking if you would like thank you.  Hindi ka ba maiinis? Friday na trip mo at wala ka pang hotel.... matutuwa ka ba?  Gano kaya katagal bago ko matanggap ang refund ko.  One thing's for sure.... will never book with Agoda EVER.

^di ako tumawag agad...one baka may konting lag ang advise nila sa hotel, 2 nabasa ko kasi dito na ok lang na di na pa confirm kasi based sa mga experiences wala naman daw sila naging problem.  Tapos naging busy na rin sa work kaya kahapon lang ako tumawag for transpo arrangement. 

pero yun nga, lesson learned maski may booking confirmation ka na from agoda at fully paid ka na, di pa rin sure booking mo.  tapos makakatanggap ka ng email sa agoda na ..the hotel is already fully booked, we will just refund you for this booking if you want.  wala nga apology or explanation.  This is less than 1 week before the my trip while my booking was confirmed last July pa.

^definitely it's AGODA's fault. Sana manlang naghanap sila ng available na hotel na mas okay kesa dun sa binook nyo and give you some options. Very poor customer service

if that so, much better if direct sa hotel mismo magpabook, at least dun sigurado. kaya pala nuon pa man hindi ako nagtry ng isang beses para magbook sa mga ganyan, iba kasi pakiramdam ko eh. kesa direct sa hotel or mismong website ng hotel/resorts, walang problema, walang sagabal.

sa lost horizon kame sis.
Food is averaging 200-300 per pax.
Pero meron naman mga karinderia naman dun.
Nung first night nga namin, we paid like 300 each for the food sa lost horizon.
My hubby ended up eating in one of the karinderias kasi talagang gutom na gutom siya.

I will share my thoughts mga sisses kung bakit at ano benefits ng pag book direct sa hotel.  This is based on my experience booking and mock booking for my upcoming trip sa macau at hk.  Will post it under agoda booking thread.  Naku baka advertiser ang agoda dito.

ngapala mga sis, nung nagpunta kame sa Danao, walang suislide. so better check with them kung plano nyo mag suislide kasi sayang ang punta nyo kung under maintenance pa rin. Plunging is great though! everybody should try it.

uu sis, ganun kamahal. kaloka di ba? kasi kung pupunta ka dun for a celebration, chaka naman kung sa karinderia ka kakain di ba?

So since next year pa ang punta nyo dun, ipon ipon muna.

Si JR ang contact ko sa mga transpo namin. Maayos siya kausap at walang naging hassle sa transpo namin.

regarding sa refund ng agoda, nung nagcancel kasi ko ng booking sa kanila in 24 hrs lang narefund na yun sakin...

^kaloka talaga. at least may natutunan akong leksyon sa pangyayaring ito.  sana ganun din kabilis ang refund ko.

Always book with agoda but I never had any problem. Siguro next time double check ko din ang booking ko to avoid unwanted situations. Charge to experience nalang sis.

^ magkano kaya expected budget pag 2 lang kayo pagdating ng bohol? let's say less than 15k, tama na kaya yun for 3d/2n?

gawa ka na lang ng draft sis.
Marami naman online na mga expected expenses.
Ang mahirap kasi pag 2 lang kau, 2 lang kau magshare ng expenses.

For example: if you will be staying in panglao, airport trasfer is P500 1 way. So kung 5 kau sa car, that will be P100 each pax as compare to P250 per pax kung 2 lang kayo.
