Has anybody heard of the Fat loss lab diet? I've read it from Marketmanila's blog and thought it to be a copycat of cohen diet.

Hi everyone! (Be you silent readers like me or active participants in the discussion.)

How do you plan to prepare for CD? Been looking at different digital weighing scales and don't know which one to pick. If ever. Soooo, any tips?

Hi,

I use the Taylor digital food scale I bought at a store in Rockwell that sells kitchen equipments.
It is located at the basement (same floor as Rustan's Supermarket).

Welcome to all the newbies.  Hang in there.  There will be a bit of struggle in the beginning but after a week, it will be a breeze.  Before you know it, you would have lost all the weight you needed to lose.

Hi Martintine, SureSlim and Cohen are totally different. Maybe same sila with bloodtest but the rules are different. From my consultant, they have enrollees na rejected by Cohen since hindi kaya ng Cohen ang may medical condition like liver ailment and diabetes etc. SureSlim can handle that. They have programs for kids. Clara Magalona was with SureSlim, it was blogged by her sister Saab. There are other celebrities who did SureSlim. I think it's good to ask your parents to check them out.

Personally, I enrolled after my aunt succeeded with hers. She was also rejected by Cohen due to PCOS and so she went with SureSlim. PCOS messes up your metabolism so I was skeptical if kaya yun ng SureSlim. when my family saw my aunt's progress, my parents enrolled me narin. They are cheaper than Cohen... so worth it talaga :)

By the way Cohenites, yun parents ko naging interested sa Sureslim. Pareho silang diabetic kaya di sila pwede sa Cohen. May idea ba kayo kung ano difference ng Sureslim sa Cohen?

Fat Loss Lab diet and Cohen is very similar to each other. I am also wondering about this. I enrolled in Cohen here in the Philippines last Nov. 2012. My dad also wanted to enroll but since he has diabetes and is old na, I said he may not be approved for the Cohen program. So I tried to enroll him in Fat Loss Lab and he was approved. They sent thru email his eating program, rules and recipes and they were very similar with what I received from Cohen, except that the prescription was different since it was based on our individual blood tests. The cover of the recipe book from Fat Loss Lab even says "Lifestyle Clinic Recipe Book", very similar to Cohen Lifestyle, right? Maybe they were partners before, since they both are based in South Africa, but I really don't know. :)

The Cohen program has really been effective for me, I am now on day 5 of my refeed. My dad wasn't able to start his Fat Loss program since it arrived near the Christmas break, but he still plans to do it sometime this year, if his weight doesn't deviate to much from his original weight when he had his blood test.

For me, I think any of the two programs will work for you since they are both based on the same principles, have the same rules, etc.

Hope my info helped you.

End of month 1 and I lost 10 pounds.
Not bad considering that I had TWELVE cheat meals. Meals ha, not days.
Not making excuses kasi I consciously cheated during parties and business functions.
Where I work pa naman, it's considered rude not to eat. Hehe.
And sometimes my PMS-cravings for chocolate got too terrible.
I never beat myself up about it though, I just kept on going :)

But nonetheless, I'm happy with the result. :) I feel great and I think I've gone down a size kasi maluwag na ang mga pants ko. Yipee! :)

[For reference pala, my weight loss goal is 30 pounds.]

Going on the Cohen diet is one of the best decision i've made. Its really discipline and determination up to the end. I lost 82lbs in 6 1/2 months.

hi sis, starts at 55k yung cohen then 5k per month for the blood test... so mga 85k for the program for 6 mos.

i suggest you try sureslim 45k lang 3 months and 55k 6 months.

55thousand 1 year to pay for citibank card holder. The blood exam is not done every month and it doesnt amount to 5,000 for the blood test. Around 1,000 only. You can actually have the blood test done in other diagnostic center para cheaper.

Trisha- no, they give you your diet prescription including the weights of the meat and vegetables then up to you to use those ingredients and pattern it in your food choices. We can make longanisa, tocino, tapa, sinigang and other filipino recipes

With available ingredients.

@wife2be, got my plan finally! i'm starting on april 8. may I ask kung anong brand ng crackers ang binibili mo dito sa Dubai and kung san mo sya nabibili? Finn crisp lang kasi ang nakita ko sa carrefour and yung house brand nila. Wala yung mga recommended brands. What about the rice cake brands, kung gumagamit ka din  :)
