^ just to share my experience, when we met up with him last year, it was prolly october or november pa lang and he was 2 hours late. super ngarag siya when we met and then there was no input at all, i was even the one who asked for pictures and he didn't have much, pina-add pa niya yung FB niya. to be honest, he was so lutang nung meeting namin.

what we wanted that time was somewhat simple and he quoted us around 50-70k for that not including the guest tables but the OOT fee was there already. we were ready to book him even if wala siyang masabi that day to us and i was texting him. parang nagka misunderstanding sa price and parang siya pa yung nagtaray sa text. i apologized to him and ask him how much na ba talaga so we can finalized but he never replied. i sent that last text message a couple of times but i guess ayaw na niya.

it's not the quality of work really but how he handled my situation that put me off. i agree that there is a premium for quality of work and that also includes service :) sadly for me, hindi naging as nice yung encounter ko with him.

@maansterized, you can check Amante Fleurs, Ysabela Florist, Mr.Hardinero or Amaranthus. Good reviews sila.I got Amante Fleurs sa wedding ko and two thumbs up sa amin :)

Vhanya - Seriously!  :o  And I was really being patient with him kasi umaasa akong mura siya.  Pero same with the feedback of little_princess, ngarag siya nung meeting namin and definitely 1 hour late siya.

elle_888 for how many pax yung quote sayo ni Gids?

Super taas naman niyan compared to the price he gave me. I became his bride just last August. He quoted me 80k for a 200pax reception. 25k for my ceremony (trees and crystals ang peg) and 20k for my entourage flowers. I have about 40 pax in my entourage.

Extra details was at 10k for 200pax

elle_888, try mr. hardiner. i spoke with pam torres, the wife and maayos sila kausap. my decor became bongga for the price i paid. we had 320pax and i paid 70k all in. don't have the official pictures yet but with the 70k, may bridge na ako sa entrance, frame for my LED wall, hedge backdrop, cascading flowers til the floor for my VIP table.

I'll ask Eugene for your wedding photos if you don't mind. I'm meeting her this dec 20 at Shang. She'll help me ask for quotations for my venue as well. Did she recommend Nikki chato to you too?

Vain_kixie

What's your take on gids' professionalism naman, quality of work and ethics? How soon should we get our venue stylist ba? I was set to meet with teddy and Larry but I guess next month na since everyone's so busy

^ sure but ask for it ahead of time, not sure if vangie took pictures that time eh. she didn't but then i asked for her quote before na and it was double the price of hardinero because of the hedges. she's good though but aside from my stylist, i would also suggest the stylist of kyla and that basket ball player's wedding. i forgot their name but i met them and they were good as well and they were my second choice. jo claravall is also good though not sure about the pricing now.

i'll post pictures maybe january if francis gives me copies already :)

nicoletta, booking your event stylist has to be early lalo na daming ikakasal by 2014. im a Jan 2014 bride but henry pascual said na halos fully booked na sya Jan 2014. Buti nga na-accommodate pa ako.

my other suggestion for a nice, elegant minimalist stylist is spruce floral design (pat pastelero). i was about to book her but mas nagandahan ako sa peg ni henry =)

^Who are you eyeing for your wedding ba and when is it? Try to get an appointment as early as now. appointment lang naman then have the meeting first thing next year after new year.

I was supposed to have a meeting with larry natividad, so he is my first option. Initially I was thinking of gideon hermoso, but with his rate, I would rather go with someone who is more reliable.  I asked eugene to get the rate for us pero she said na next year narin daw kasi busy na lahat.  I'm not that worried naman about the crunch time since eugene doesn't seem bothered by it.

You might not need an event stylist in fernbrook.  Ask for nikki chato, she specializes in flowers.

little_princess

I have seen mr hardinero in facebook.  Hindi ko masyadong type yung design niya, pero iba iba naman tayo ;)  Thanks for your suggestion.  I'm sending a bunch of e-mails to ask for the rates so I can compare.

nicoletta, no worries :) once francis sends me the pictures, i'll let you see kasi ours is kinda different from the ones that they posted sa FB. Meron pa din hedges (i think it's in their FB) but it was done our way :)

Hi mga sis! Its been a long time since I posted here. Busy with wedding preps, kkdating ko lang pinas last week eh. Anyway, we had our meeting with gids, and OMG, akala ko ako lang meron ganung experience with him. He was super late, well ok lang naman with me kase he came from out of town. So understandable. Tapos after nun, when we started, parang lutang nga siya, he was eating pa and texting. Well, we got him na kase nakapagdown na kame even before pa eh. No choice. Magaling siya pero yung attitude ewan ko bakit ganun. Sana lang talaga maging maganda yung output. I already setup another meeting with him dahil nga feeling ko walang napuntahan yung meeting namin nung time na yun. Meron p sana ako sasabihin pero ill let it go nalang. Goodluck samin! :(

^sis triggerhappy, make sure you bring pegs to your next meeting because that will be really helpful for Gids. And I remembered ako yung mas vocal about my look and theme as compared to my experience with Teddy. With Teddy kasi, when I show him my pegs, he'll react and try to suggest na where we can inject the ideas and stuff. Anyway, I think Gids will deliver naman in terms of end results. Magaling naman talaga siya.  ;D
