@sis jaguar_paw according to my doctor I need the 100 test we were supposed to do last Saturday but unfortunately I threw up the drink and almost passed out after second extraction ko :( medyo na depress na nga ako recently lagi ako nahihilo and nasusuka sa morning so Hindi ko alam if kakayanin ko na yung test :( 27 weeks now...failing the 50 gm test does not mean na diabetic daw and madami daw [textspeak!] nag failed on that test...

- ano sis 100?!?! kalurkey! yung sakin.. 50 yung una. i failed. normal range daw is 140 tapos pag pregnant they lower it down to 130. well, i scored 150! hahaha tama, hindi naman porket bagsak sa OGCT eh diabetic na. wag lang siguro masyadong malayo ang gap from the normal range.

tapos in less than a week ata, i lost almost 2lbs. this is prior sa pagcheck up ko sa Endo. kaya sabi ni OB nag diet daw talaga ako. yung size ni baby before high normal, now normal normal na. medyo OA lang ata ako, i lost almost 1lbs this week again. lol

by the way, im a pescetarian (no meat except fish). tska stretching stretching, lakad lakad at step up and down sa stairs ang exercise ko which can lower your blood sugar at madamiiiiiiing tubig

sorry sis medyo mahaba pero kaya mo yan!!!

- kaya mo yan sis! i am 5'1 and currently 127.5lbs. pre preg weight is 112lbs. first baby ko din. siguro mas ok kung manual monitoring ka na lang muna ng blood sugar at calorie intake.

ito advise sakin ni endo:
- monitor ang calorie intake. allowed ako ng breakfast, lunch at dinner with 2 snacks
- every morning before breakfast kunin ang blood sugar then 1 hour after meal (either breakfast, lunch o dinner) basta sa isang araw, twice lang ako kukuha ng blood sugar.
- i also monitor my BP everyday at weight every week (libre naman sa office)

Had my 75g OGTT last Sunday and eto ang results.

FBS 86.5 normal
1st hour 153.17 normal
2nd hour 175.51 high

This supposedly means I have glucose intolerance kasi bagsak yung isa. I was referred to an endocrinologist who sent me to the diabetes care center at Makati Med. She also ordered me to test my sugar 4x/day. Nag 1 on 1 kami ng dietitian and she gave me a (strict) meal plan as in kung ilang servings ng meat, vegetables, fruit, fat, carbs per meal and snack time. Based on the discussion, parang I need to consume more calories but it has to be timed properly and dapat tama yung portions per group. Medyo nadepress ako kasi I have to monitor everything until I give birth na. Pero feeling ko kasi I haven't been eating too much naman and good enough yung diet ko though I indulge once in a while. Hay nakakalungkot.

^im wondering how did you find out na may GD kayo? of course apart from laboratory test may naramdaman ba kayong symptoms? or is it because may family history din kayo ng diabetes even before you get pregnant?

^When's your due date sis?

I got emotional earlier kasi first time ko magttest dapat today since I got the kit yesterday. Tapos I ate a lot less pa than the prescribed breakfast by the dietitian and yung 1 hr glucose test ko 156. Ayoko na kumain pero based on the dietitian's prescribed meal plan, I have to eat even more than I usually do.. My due date now feels like it's so far away.

Sa mga diagnosed with GD, I took comfort when I read this article so I wanted to share it with you. http://birthwithoutfearblog.com/2013/06/24/the-truth-about-gestational-diabetes-and-why-its-not-your-fault/

Thank you! You'll be in my prayers too. Grabe I can just imagine how it would be to have something else to worry about. Kaya nga I let go na of the other things na physical lang like stretch marks, skin discoloration and stuff.

^thanks sis!

Sa ibang moms-to-be dyan, meron ba sainyong after the 1 week monitoring and diet, binigyan ng all clear and retest na lang later? Hindi na super strict yung diet? Hoping kasi na pagbalik ko sa endo, sabihin niya okay na numbers ko and ingat na lang ng konti and retest later.

- 3rd week din ako sis.. Aug 18 to be exact :)

OB check up namin last Saturday..  amaze na amaze yung OB ko dahil talagang strict at diet daw talaga ako. naglalaro na lang sa 128lbs -129lbs ang weight ko (pre preg weight is 112lbs) normal size ni baby, sya na lang ang lumalaki. ako maintain na ang weight.

kala lang ni OB yon! LOL. tulad ng lagi kong sinasabi "i know my body well". hindi ko sinunod yung Endo ko na kunin ko daw blood sugar 2x a day. hindi ko na din sinunod diet at bilang bilang ng calories. walang history ng diabetes sa family ko kaya alam ko dala lang ito ng pagbubuntis.

ang narealize ko lang na nawala sa lifestyle ko. hind na ako masyadong nakakaexercise. it will help you burn calories and lower your blood sugar. kaya ayun, 3x a day ako mag stretching and walk often hanggat pwede. di naman kami high risk ni baby kaya i can still do these things, light nga lang. kung di maiwasan kumain ng bawal like matamis, etc. i make sure na i drink lots of water para ma flush out! hehe

kaya ayun! beri good lagi kay OB :)
