Hello! Grabeh ang weather this week. Check up komwith endo nung August 15, he's happy with my 1-week monitoring so he's not going to put me on insulin. I am not going to see him soon but he did gave me already a note for midwives/nurses to notify him once I'm admitted. I have the feeling na they have spoken na ni OB kasi he told me na "feeling ko paanakin ka na ni dra, kung hindi man next week the other week"

He told me though din na after 3 months post partum ang balik ko ulit sa clinic niya to check if magtutuloy tuloy  GDM ko sa diabetes talaga. Tiis tiis lang tayo mga sissies :-)

Hello mga sis! Kumusta na po mga monitoring? I gave birth nung August 24, i'm relieved dahil out na si baby and I will not need to worry too much on the foods I eat na puwedeng magpalaki lalo sa kanya although he's 2 weeks bigger. The steroids and making him bigger helped.

i'm still monitoring my Blood sugar, I've been naughty for the first few days after delivery. I ate cakes, chocolate, milk teas with 100% sugar etc.. Hahaha kaso pagkabalik ko kay endo-- gave me an option whether to take  oral meds na or diet! Syempre diet ang pinili kesa mag meds baka dumepende lang ako  and after 3 mos todo bingeing ako.. Kaya eto diet diet  ;D pero carry naman since mas lenient na ngayon. no need for brown rice as long as every 3hrs pa din meal ko and stick with the portions.

Mga sis, currently pregnant with my 3rd baby and I have diabetes. Anyway, I'm looking for a new endo. I asked the HMO and they gave me a list (below) of doctors na accredited sa hospital kung san ako manganganak (SLMC QC). Pahingi naman ng feedback kung meron kayong experience with any of these doctors. TIA!

Dra. Cherrie Lumapas-Gonzales
Dra. Eunice Tan
Dra. Stephanie Lim-Uy
Dr. Roberto Mirasol
Dr. Michael Villa
Dr. Reynaldo Rosales

hello mga sis. kakatapos ko lang magbackread ng 37 pages may thread 2 pa pala. very informative :). i found out i have gdm at 27 weeks. diet daw muna try kung kayanin. thrice pa lang ako magtetest sa glucometer and ok lahat. [textspeak!] isa below normal range pa. currently nag-aaway kami ni hubby dahil dina-diet nya ko to the max na minsan parang mali na kasi kulang na calorie intake :( bad pa naman tayo ma-stress :(

question lang mga sis:
1. may effect ba sa glucometer reading kapag super gutom na ako nagtest? as in kumukulo na tyan? hehe. pina-patest kasi ako before meals e

2. dapat ba di iinom ng water 2 hours before the test? example, after breakfast reading 9am. tapos snacks ko 10am. need to take reading before lunch (12:30). 10am after snacks to 12:30 bawal uminom ng tubig?

^Hindi naman bawal uminom ng tubig. I checked every before meal. I am on insulin and so far mas controlled na ang numbers ko. I have type 2 diabetes.

^i see sis thank you  :) another funny question. what time ang bedtime snack? as in after bedtime snack tulog agad? or wait for let's say 30 minutes bago sleep? sa record log ko lasi pinapatest akp at bedtime then pinapa-indicate din bedtime snack time.

:) Pati don't eat too much fruits kasi nakakataas yon ng blood sugar.

^thank you sis  :) simula september di talaga nagcho-chocolates na. napansin ko lang mataas yung reading ko before meals. yung isa asa higher boundary na ng allowed. tapos after meal, ok na average na.

mga sis may bago na naman ako problema. may naka-experience na ba ng erratic reading sa glucometer? kakameasure ko lang kasi and the reading was 4.8. i felt it was too low kase after dinner. so i tested on another finger, biglang naging 5.4. aba syempre di na convincing, tinest ko uli using the same drip of blood from that 5.4 finger, 4.9 naman lumabas na reading. di ko alama bakit kaya ganun? i'm using abbott freestyle optium, yun kasi yung binigay sakin ng OB

Now that I am pregnant again for the 3rd time, simula nong 5th weeks ko pa lang nag insulin na ako.

mga sis may effect ba or bad ba pag parati below normal range yung 2 hours after meal ko? normal range 5.5 to 7. mine was always 5.2 to 5.3. may isang beses pa na 4.6 too low. need ko ba kumain ng sweets agad? before meals ko laging asa gitna ng normal range (3.5 - 5.5)

Hi sis cheesecak3 and to other moms na may diabetes, ask ko lang paano nagtuloy tuloy gdm nyo to diabetes?  gave birth nung August and after that medyo iba na blood sugar levels ko. Sa sobrang asam ko sa matamis naghalo halo agad ako and buchi kahit nung last day ko sa hospital nung nanganak ako, although huli na nung sinabi ng endo ko na hindi pa din ako pwede sa sweets :(.

Sa sobrang sama ng loob ko, tumikim tikim ako ng cake and normal na food kinakain ko like what i used to have nung bago mabuntis. All is okay naman aside from my FBS na nagiging >100 :'( na. Lunch and dinner ay nasa 99- 111 pre and post meals. I get to eat whenever I can lang.

To mommies, is there any possibility Diabetic na talaga ako sinc my FBS is high? Ang pagiging puyat lagi ba ay may effect sa Blood sugar natin? one thing na nahalata ko pala since last week, hirap ako gumising yung bang antok na antok at hindi mapigilan pumikit ulit.  I started taking Ampalaya plus hoping it will help me and gone back to brown rice. i still eat yung normal na tinapay though hindi mga wheat or brown bread.

i took a slice of chocolate cake kahapon during afternoon snack and the reading is still normal beforr dinner. i took 2 slice of wheat bread with lily's peanut butter earlier and the reading 2 hours after breakfast is still within normal range (at lower bound). something is really fishy. baka mali diagnosis sa akin hehe asa. the meter is working fine kasi we tried with hubby and his reading is realistic (higher bound ng normal takaw kasi hihi)
