I was diagnoes din kasi with gestational diabetes when I was pregnant. Thankfully, normal delivery ako and no complications naman si baby

Mga sis ques! Kapag may cough and cold ba nakakataas ng glucose level? Kasi pansin ko lang since nagka ubo't sipon ako 140+ na value ko,pero hindi naman nagbabago diet ko.

I dont think that cough and cold can contribute to your blood sugar..Gestational diabetes happens during pregnancy kasi nagrerelax ang insulin ng ibang mga mommies. Hindi sya nagrerespond to balance the sugar ng katawan natin. Walang symptoms ito kaya medyo nakakatakot, talk to your OB about it so she can give you referral for Oral Glucose Tolerance Test. Normally they give the order on your 24th week.

Hi sis skyprincess,ginawa ko ng yung ogtt before matapos 2nd tri ko,bagsak ako,after that every two weeks na ako bloodtest at urine test for sugar. Bagsak fbs lagi,may monitoring na rin ako ng glucose 3xA day..pansin ko lang kasi tumaas value nung nagkaubo at sipon ako e..this fri chek up ko with ob and endo,ask ko na lang din:) cant wait kasi for fri to know the answer e hehe:) thank u sis!

Hi sis gelynbalantac, tiis tiis thursday na bukas, you'll get to have your question answered soon. For sure naman stick ka pa din sa diet mo and nothing added or omitted. Try to get better soon and hydrate yourself sis ha. Hirap pa naman may cough and cold. Will be seeing my OB and Endo naman bukas, hahay natatakot ako sa last 2 days ng monitoring ko. I have mentioned what happened saken ahihih naquestion tuloy ako why hindi ko na tinuloy, my fault nga naman dahil nalimutan ko and extremely tired ang pakiramdam kaya nawala sa isip ko. Pero sabi nya lusot naman ako dahil okay naman daw monitoring sheet ko prior ko maadmit, nasira lang tlaga ako nung naconfine. He gave another homework and bukas ko isubmit.. Nasa 138 pinakamataas ko (an hour post breakfast) and 100 ( for 2hour post meal).

May steroids ka pa take sis? Get well soon sis!

Sis miss ira,thank u!!!! this friday steroids again ako..suki na nga ako ng CR sa kakawiwi ko sa dami ng water na iniinum ko para lang gumaling na ako kaagad e..nagtataka lang ako bakit hindi ako binigyan ng antibiotic ni ob kasi last time ko nagka ubo at sipon nung 2nd tri pinanium na nya ako ng augmentin..ill ask her this rin hehe:) kainggit sis ng mga values mo!!! Ang baba hehe:) yung sa akin baka mashock si endo fluctuating mga values hehe:)

Pwede kaba uminom ng fruit juice? Kahit calamansi juice pero walang sugar. i had cough and colds namn nung 2nd tri ko, tagal pa check up ko nun kay OB kaya what I did is nagcalamansi juice lang ako sa morning and evening pero no sugar. ayun before my day to see OB eh wala na cough and cold ko. i was not sure din kasi kung pwede ako magtake ng  vit C that time dahil, every check-up ko she just tell me kung anong supplements ang itetake ko. Si OB naman nun okay lang sa kanya magprescribed ng gamot but she knows din na hindi ko iinumin and mas prefer din nya iadvise calamnsi juice. Nung naconfine naman ako, siguro dahil sa steroids for baby's lungs and prior admission medyo masama na din ilong ko and throat, so nung trinansfer ako sa room doon na lumabas colds ko then the next day may cough na. OB just advised me to have vit C twice a day, no other meds. 

ilang weeks na pala kayo ni baby mo? Hayzzz ang mga tao dito akala papaanakin na ako bukas, kasi parang yun ang dinig nila.. Naeexcite tuloy ako.

Sis miss ira,fern c ako twice a day sabi ni ob last time at plenty of fluids daw..sige try ko rin calamansi juice,hindi naman siguro tataas sugar ko dun noh,asim nun no! Hahaha sis,i know the feeling,ako nga na 31 weeks p lang naeexcite na mga tao dito,sa iyo p kaya hehe:)

During my 2nd pregnancy I had GD and even after giving birth my sugar was uncontrolled then I got Type 2 Diabetes. Now on my 3rd pregnancy my OB and Endo they are very watchful of my blood sugar. As early as 5 weeks, I am taking insulin and so far I got good numbers. I still prefer using insulin kasi mas nakikita ko agad ang result, unlike sa diet mukhang hindi effective sa akin at siguro dahil hindi nakapagproduce ng normal insulin ang katawan ko kaya useless ang diet.

hello mga sis, nagpa gct ako then ang result eh 11.05 sobrang taas daw ng sugar ko baka diabetic daw kaya pinakuha aku ng test na FBS at Hba1c.. this Monday or Tuesday ko makukuha result. May possibility ba na may gestational diabetes lang ako?  at hindi talaga diabetic.. db nawawala din ito pag nanganak na? by the way im 8weeks preggy na..

Binigyan na ako ni ob ng antibiotic,azithromycin for 5 days once a day lang sya. I asked my immuno and endo about this,ok lang daw kasi need ko na talaga. Hindi pa rin ako pinapainsulin ni endo,diet lang daw kasi fbs lang mataas sa akin and baka raw if bigyan nya ko ng insulin regularly,bumaba nman sugar ko. Konting tiis na lang!!! Malapit na!!!

Sis makikita sa hba1c mo kung kahit bago ka pa mabuntis if mataas na blood sugar levels mo. Kung normal baka gdm nga lang pero possible na magtuloy tuloy yan. Like me waiting ako to test for ogtt 6 weeks postpartum para malaman kung nagtuloy tuloy na to diabetes.

hi sissies! no gdm here thank god but i've been paranoid about diabetes for years. may sweet tooth kasi. try nyo mag coco sugar. low glycemic factor. medyo mahal pero sulit pa rin coz more than 3 months before naubos ko ang half kl. may mga food kasi na kailangan talaga ng sugar. be well.

i had my follow-up blood glucose tests done last week at 6th week post partum, and im so happy na normal ang result...napaparanoid din ako before kakaisip baka matuloy na talaga diabetes ko so i was super relieved when the result came out normal
