Pinapaulit ng diabetologist ko yung HBA1C ko bago mag April, yung 1st ko was normal, that was when i was 6 weeks pregnant ata.  Plan ko is magpa HBA1C sa March 9, sabay ng check up ko sa OB, 18 weeks ako nun.  So far Ok ang results ng mga blood test ko before and after meals, may 1 beses lang ako bumagsak nitong start ng 2nd tri ko.  May possibility kaya na maging abnormal yung result ng HBA1C? Napaparanoid ako eh, baka kahit OK results ko pag nagtetest ako mag-isa bigla mataas ang HBA1C ko...

Diagnosed din with GDM by my OB. March pa schedule ko sa Endo. Been backreading na rin sa Thread, baka may matutunan ako. Napapraning na rin kasi ako. My first 2 pregnancies hindi ako nag-GDM, both came out via NSD with average weight. My OB did not suspect na may GDM ako until makitaan ng glucose at albumin sa urinalysis ko. My OGCT was high. I was asked to take OGTT, at yun na nga. Mataas talaga.

Nakakapanghina talaga na malaman may GDM, worried na kay baby, dagdag gastos pa. Hays.

^ correct sis, dagdag gastos pag may gdm, 4x ako nagchecheck ng sugar, tapos may metformin pa ako. normal hba1c ko pero pinapaulit ulit na namn yun test next week. kahit anong diet gawin ko sa breakfast di pa rin sya nagnonormal, bka maginsulin na ako pagbalik sa endo. nadiagnosed ako with gdm nun 24th week ko, exagg naman talaga nagain ko na weight, 13kls! asa genes din namin diabetic at pcos rin ako dati. hayyy, first baby pa naman namin to, parang ayaw ko na sundan.

ask ko lang sa mga sis na nanganak na with gdm, umabot ba kayo ng 39-40 weeks? 38 weeks and 1 day na kasi ako ngayon eh and no sign of labor since sabi ni ob floating pa yung ulo ni baby and sabi nya try namin mag normal delivery..eh kamusta naman baka naman masyado ng malaki si baby.. sino sino sa inyo ang nag nsd? tia!

^ naku sobrang gastos magka gdm..sa strips pa lang ang mahal na tatagal lang ng 12 days ang 50 strips..eh magkano ang strips..my gulay! ngayon nag iinsulin ako 10 units every morning..pasok naman sa goal yung result simula nung naginsulin ako except sa before dinner since magkalapit ang pm snack ko at dinner..:p iniintay ko kasi si hubby dumating before ako mag merienda eh minsan around 6pm na yung merienda ko tapos ang dinner minsan 730 or 8 kaya pagkuha ko ng blood test ayun bonnga ang reading..:p pero my improvement naman since dati ang bagsak ko is after lunch and before dinner..

just bought blood glucose monitoring. medyo di kasi okay sugar level ko. so far naman for two days, normal or excellent ang result. i do this every before breakfast and every two hour after meals. talagang nag lie low ako sa carbs and sweets. me times lang na di ako nakakain on-time kasi tulog ako and lipas na ang lunch time and sunduan na kids so fruits lang ang nakakain and parang snack na at the same time. pero ang dali ko mabusog kahit konti lang kain ko.

me appt ako sa gp maya to get result ng urine test ko. hoping na sana okay kasi ayoko na ng further tests.

next appt ko sa ob ko march 26 pa. sana okay na lahat.

Andami namang dapat isipin! 6th week ko pa lang to pero parang gusto ko na rin patest for gdm! Ang lakas ko pa naman kumain and ang hilig ko sa sweets

I was just told that I have GDM by my endo. Super sad and overwhelming.  OGCT and OGTT ko both mataas. 
My endo recommended diet for a week, I was asked also to monitor my blood sugar as well so I bought One Touch Select Simple (Php 1850) not included the needle.
I have to monitor my blood sugar starting Monday, so diet ko starting today.

Blood Sugar has to be monitored:
Before Breakfast
2 hours after Breaksfast
2 hours after Lunch
2 hours after Dinner

* Ang daming pricking na mangyayari nito!

 I consulted with a nutritionist as well, tinuruan niya ako mag carb / calorie counting.

Also, not allowed to snack on fruits alone kasi parang simple sugar daw yon which will be absorbed directly by my body. Dapat i mix to with rice and ulam, so veggies galore ang plano ko and in between, either Low Fat milk, cereal, lettuce with boiled egg lang.

Carb counting ang drama ko now, only allowed 1700 kcal everyday.

Also, exercise din, at least an hour walking.  I'm planning to modify my routine din, dapat same oras ng gising at kain everyday.  Since its my first baby and I have sacrificed a lot already, totodo ko na, I am determined to beat this thing.  Kaya natin to mga sis, ilang buwan lang naman eh. We gotta stay focus.

^Carry yan sis, ilang weeks ka na nga ulit?

Ako medyo di ko nasusunod yang carb counting, kasi ang dami ko talaga kumain ngayon.  Pero di pa naman ako nagffail sa monitoring ko.  I just hope na nagnormalize na ang glucose chuvaness ko kaya di na ko nagffail.

Lahat ba kayong nagmomonitor ng sugar after meal eh 2hrs ang sabi ng endo nyo? Ilan daw yun target values nyo? Bakit kaya sakin 1hr after first bite ko ang nirequire. Na max 130 lang result.

^Sis ako 1 hour after meal, mali pa nga ako kasi ang ginagawa ko before was 1 hour after ko kumain, not after the 1st bite.  Though mabilis lang naman ako kumain, so few minutes lang ang difference.Ang result na makuha ko dapat is below 140 mg/dl.

@miminibebe. Thanks. Akala ko nagkamali ako sa instruction ni doc mas ok sana yun after 2hrs kase mas mababa sugar nun for sure. Hehe.

^Korek sis, may instruction siya sa kin na pag nagfail ako sa 1 hour testing, ulitin ko ulit after 1 hour, dapat below 120 mg/dl reading, pag pasado, ibig sabihin daw, nagka-glitch lang yung monitor ko.  Kahapon napadami ang kain ko at di ko napigilang magleche flan, ayun, bonggang bonggang 189 ang reading ko after an hour, nagtest ako ulit, 121, failed pad in, kung nakapaglakad lakad ako i'm sure mas mababa pa.  Pero di ko na siya nirecord sa monitoring ko, charge to experience na lang na iwasan dapat ang leche flan hahaha

hello mga sis.. sali ako sa thread na'to.. i had GDM during my first pregnancy in 2008.. i was diagnosed on my 7th month but was able to control it thru the help of a dietitian and an endocrinologist in MMC..

i attended some sort of seminar for patients with diabetes, followed their advice, did a mix of dieting and exercise while monitoring my blood sugar and thanks God it worked so I was GDM free before giving birth..

since my 1st pregnancy up to the present, i've been carefully following my diet and regularly exercise.. nahinto nalang ako sa gym when i learned i'm preggo with my 2nd baby.. btw, i had my OGTT and other lab tests 2 weeks ago.. so happy to know that i am free from GDM this time.. i just continue my diet 1/2 to maximum of 1 cup rice per meal.. i also substitute saba or camote with rice.. less fat and oil and no sugar as much as possible.. my diet includes mostly fish and vegetables..

however, i still eat chocolate, cakes, ice cream and other sweets in small proportions on my cheat days (normally weekend) grabe kasi ang temptation but i make sure i am able to burn those calories with exercise..

True. Ako kase 4x a day nirequire ng endo mag check so yun 50's nauubos ko in less than 2 wks. Eh nakaka 3 boxes na ako. Sayang kase kakabili ko lang sa mercury bago na suggest sakin yan. Pambili na rin sana ng lancets yun savings.

urine results
negative result sa urine before taking ogtt
+3 result sa urine after 1 hour ogtt
+3 result sa urine after 2 hours ogtt

blood results
3.78 mmol/L- before taking ogtt
7.94 mmol/L -after 1 hour ogtt
6.95 mmol/L -after 2 hours ogtt

Monday pa kasi next checkup ko.and tinitingnan ko results ngayon. TIA!
