^naku natakot naman ako. 6 ang limit pag preggy eh 6na ako now, 3months palang ako.

I've been diagnosed with GDM, my blood sugar levels reached as high as 157.1 the thing is I'm fit, have good BP, walang manas, no family history ng diabetes as in nakakapagtaka talaga even my diabetician was baffled why I have it. Well anyway, she said it's a rising trend among preggies especially first time moms.

Right now I'm under a strict diet management. May leaflet na binigay sakin si doc.

Anyways sa mga sis na mag GDM, do you drink coconut water? As in the pure one ha, hindi yung nabibili sa malls na bottled/iced/shake. I've been reading mixed reviews on Google. Next visit ko sa clinic is next week pa.

at 20weeks, eto results ng ogtt ko for 100gms:

fasting blood sugar- 112 mg/dl
1st hr- 177
2nd hr- 185
3rd hr- 110

hba1c- 5.7

may diabetes ba ako??

^ sis the test results normally have a range next to your results that would signify what is normal. Backread as well in the previous thread I know someone posted the normal ranges.

Parang mataas your 2nd hour kasi supposedly habang tumatagal lalo yan bababa eh hmm although sabi ng endo ko upto 6.0 ang normal hba1c so normal pa ang 5.7. Baka papagdietin kalang muna better consult your OB para maagapan

Ilang hours usually ang fasting bago iperform ang test?

^saken 8 hours ako nag fasting. pero pwede daw up to 14hours.

i'm doing my homework now. 1 week sugar monitoring 3x a day.

1st day (all BEFORE meals)

10:30am- 87
1:30pm- 123
6pm- 145

bukas AFTER meals naman.. natatakot ako, feeling ko mataas yung results ko.

Just got back from my OB checkup and may results na sa ogct I took last Friday. Sad lang cause my blood sugar level is so high as in 196. All this time I thought safe ako since Hindi ako mahilig sa sweets. Oh well..  My OB asked me to undergo ogtt as in ASAP. If I fail daw the first 2 hrs, then admit ako for glucose control

second ogtt ko na for this pregnancy at first normal pa result but this time hindi na. sa fbs ko 75 lang which is good tapos 100 gram glucose hala 253! shocking second hour bumaba na sa 180 third hour mas mababa pa. bukas first check up ko with endo.

Will have ogtt in 2 weeks, I'm scared talaga magka GD. Sisi tuloy ako di ako nagvisit dito, almost 1 month pa naman ako na addict sa fruit juice in can. I'm praying na di tumaas blood sugar ko. Lagi naman ako water and no snacks. Makakahelp kaya ang fresh buko juice everyday?

nakalagay sa reference ng normal values eh 74-106 lang.

lahat ng results ko from 1st to 3rd hour mas mataas diyan. automatic may diabetes na?

^ ang sabi ng endo ko after first hour hangang 180 lang daw dapat 256 yung akin then after second hour parang 120 eh 180 akin tapos normal na third hour ko in short bumagsak ako sa ogtt so 4x a day prick ako test sa glucometer before breakfast, one hour after breakfast,lunch and dinner. Eh ang mahal pa naman ng test strip 800 pesos for 6 days ko lang.

Pinagaaralan ko ang sugar ko kasi natulog ako maghapon umaykat ng 137 after dinner eh below 100 usual reading ko. Intructions din ni endo right after eating walk for 10 mins para bumaba daw sugar ko at wag nako maginsulin. It works naman kasi less than 100 readings ko.

Papalitan ko din pala yung glucometer ko kasi mahal test strip from one touch horizon (old version na kasi ito) buy ako this oct ng one touch select. kasi sa dalawang box of 25 test strip ng horizon eh 3 boxes equivalent na ng select so makakamura talaga ako ng around 5k until manganak sa test strip alone. Compute ko talaga kasi sayang naman hindi biro ang pagka high risk ko. Mas madami pa ako ginagastusan maliban sa GDM na ito.

^ako naman ang weird yung 2nd hour ko lang ang mataas. 185.

3x a day naman ako nagtetest ng sugar sa bahay for one week. bihira naman ako mag less than 100. sana wala pa akong GD. sa monday pa ako balik sa endo

I was admitted yesterday and confirmed na I have gdm. Lahat ng results ko failed fr FBS and the 3hr tests. When I came back yesterday sa OB, she referred me na agad sa endo and yun endo ang Nagpa-admit sakin. I asked nga baket kelangan admit kasi yun iba diet lang. Kasi raw 200 plus result ng ogtt ko. So far, eto observe lang ng blood sugar based sa 2000 calorie per day diet. Once pa lang nag fail-- 2hrs after dinner last night. After that, puro normal na so hopefully no need mag insulin when I get home. Hay.. Hirap nito monitor na blood sugar ko and continue ang diet until manganak.
