Since my last post, my insulin dosage has been increased several times.  Blood sugar levels were already normal since the latest increase, until tonight! Hay bigla akong nafrustrate! Do your readings fluctuate often too? Pag ganito ba, call nyo agad endo nyo or adjust muna ng diet?

I had my 100g yesterday, fasting was negative pero yun 1st medyo mataas, un 2nd super taas, un 3rd medyo mataas. Pag ganun positive na ba sa gd? Wed pa kasi check up ko. Right now, hindi ko tuloy alam ano kakainin ko

^oh no.  baka pag diet ka na    bawasan mo na lang siguro ang kain mo ng konti and spread your meals throughout the day.  avoid sweets na din muna.  good luck to us!

sa akin sis 2nd and third mataas, refer agad kay endocrinologist. he already considered me to have gestational diabetes mellitus. diet-diet muna. di na ako nag consult sa dietitian. my endoc computed kasi my height vs. my weight and told me for my height (5'0 ft) dapat 3/4 rice (max) per meal lang ang kinakain ko. iwas carbs and definitely no sweets. pati nga fruits bawal eh.    i am monitoring my blood sugar at home and there are times na tumataas talaga sha especially if napakain ako ng marami. next check up ko is on july 9 and based sa mga readings ko, tumataas talaga sha. so malamang pag insulin na rin ako. im 30 weeks by the way.

Waaa scary! So i conclude me gd na nga ako huhu ayaw ko pa naman un mag self test sa bahay, masakit yun tusok. Hay...  Carrying twins kasi, ibig sabihin ba kahit meats need ko pa din bawasan intake ko? Or just the carbs and sweets lang?

^^sis better check with your ob if need mo consult with endoc. pero malamang makuha pa sa diet. i think overall diet sis not only carbs and sweets. mas ok to check with endoc to make sure. especially you are carrying twins.

^^. Since I'm carrying twins (like you), the endo allocated 2100 calories per day. The dietician then provided me a diet plan, and that's what i follow. Re your Q abt lessening meat, yes, mababawasan talaga.

Sis me sample ka? No idea kung paano mag count ng calories e. wed pa check up ko, mag refer pa ob baka may 2-3 days pa bago ko malaman kung anong diet plan for me.

^ My daily diet plan:

Breakfast:  1 serving rice/bread, 2 servings meat/fish/poultry, 1 serving fruits
Lunch and Dinner:  2 servings rice/bread, 3 servings meat/fish/poultry, 1 serving fruits
AM Snack:  1 serving rice/bread 1 serving  meat/fish/poultry
PM Snack:  1.5 serving rice/bread, 1 serving meat/fish/poultry
Bedtime Snack: 1 serving carbo (usually bread ito)+ 1 serving fat (usually peanut butter spread)

Then I'm allowed to have a cup of low or non-fat milk.

you had ogct na sis? ok yan at least as early as now monitored na ng endoc yung blood sugar mo. ilang week ka na sis?

pinatest lang fasting blood sugar ko at 108 siya. dapat daw 92 lang kaya patingin na daw ako sa endo para malaman kung need mag insulin or metformin. 12weeks na ako this
weekend.

pag sa endo ba, ano una ipapagawa? blood test ulit?

ang alam ko with fasting blood sugar dapat less than 100 mg/dl ang result. mas ok din sis if pinag-ogct ka muna nya.  with endocrinologist ang unang ginawang test sa akin is the hba1c, that is to check your blood for the past 3 months ata. dun kasi made-determine if matagal ng mataas sugar mo or recently lang. tapos papag-diet ka muna sis like iwas sa sweets and carbs tapos monitor blood sugar. if di makuha sa diet saka pa lang magi-insulin.

^nag hba1c rin pala ako sis. mataas rin.. siguro try ko muna mag diet at tsaka na ako magpacheck sa endo. natatakot ako!

^^ yes sis blood test. hindi required ang fasting and prick lang usually sa finger tapos wait result. goodluck sa pag visit sa endoc. kaya natin to. hehe

for iphone/ipad users, get the calorie counter app called my fitness pal. it's free. that's what i used before to monitor my calorie intake.

^ sis, me too im using the app to check the calories.

Im having 1900 calories per day, tom i'll start checking blood at home, 4x a day. 1 week diet daw, if it wont work, mag insulin daw 2x a day.

Re insulin how much yun ganun? Pag nag inject ba hindi ba masanay yun body? Takot kasi ko, baka maya after delivery need pa din insulin and maging diabetic na ko...
