Mga friends na puro YABANG ang alam.. thread 2

i'm not bothered with people who do this when i know that they have the money to buy all the things that they have. what irks me would be those people na alam mong middle class lang pero kung maka-post ng gadgets, luxury items, even starbucks akala mo uber rich.

i post all my travel pictures in FB as a photo dump so i hope none of my FB friends think i'm mayabang haha

For me the travels are fine. Wag lang OA na pati boarding pass at customs forms ipopost pa!mga kilala kong can afford do not post newly purchased gadgets or what they have. usually the ones na di sanay sa ganitong luho( sa mga kilala ko ah!) sila yung mega post.Kasi what Ive said, mga totoong can afford or old rich di sila showy sa kung anong mayroon sila.sabi nga nila, ang empty siya yung maingay! Yung loaded talaga, sila yung tahimik. Kaya minsan, kabaligtaran, mga taong mega loaded, sila yung über tahimik, walang ka ere ere kung magsalita, kung sino yung nagpapa bongga at maingay at kailangan may ipakita sa album at iannounce sa fb.. Sila yung puro yabang lang, puro baon sa utang maka bili lang ng gadgets na pang post at pang inggit sa taong di naman nila gusto.

^Patawarin mo ako sis sa ipopost ko pero I used to be that about 7 years ago.  When it was my first trip with my barkada.  We were not achievers in our respective jobs that time so we booked ourselves a cheap ticket from clark to KL. We got so excited that we took photos of our boarding passes and our embarkation cards when we arrived in KL. 

Pero we had so many travels now kaya we do not post embarkation cards anymore.  I do not feel bad now because those shots are priceless to me because of the memories of the first travels.  But I will however, take a picture of my boarding pass kung naka business class ako kasi it will be a first to me.  Pag lagi na ako naka business class, I doubt I will keep on posting my boarding pass.

So I guess, minsan nadadala lang talaga tayo ng excitement that is why we do those stuff. 

I guess it still boils down on our perception on the person who posts these things in FB.  If these people are loved by us, we will appreciate what they post.  We will not find it mayabang.  If its the other way around, we tend to see it negatively.

@xtine-Usually naman talaga sis pag first time lahat kinukunan ng pic.( although, di ko ginawa yung sa boarding pass or embarkation forms) and if sanay ka na talaga mag travel, di mo na talaga ipopost ang mga pinopost mo before, kasi travelling is normal na for you. Kadalasan kasi nakikita ko, mukhang di naman na siya virgin sa pag travel, pero.. hala! pati tax ticket pinost, at luggage tags pang check ins.. Minsan, Visa pa.( which, I  think dapat hindi na dapat pa pinopost pa yan.) I do think its too much na posting a visa pa. But ofcourse, iba iba tayo. it might be perfectly fine for you for someone posting their passport and visa pa on facebook, but for me.. I dont think, kailangan pa or its too much for me.Kasi proof na yung pictures from the destinations na nabigyan sila ng visa. Dahil kung di naman nabigyan, malamang, wala sila doon sa place na yun.

^^Agree on Visa sis.  Natawa naman ako doon sa pati visa.  Its too much information na siguro.  There is a fine line between sharing excitement and unecessary information.

^mayroon sis! Napa ngiwi ako nung nakita ko yung schengen visa niya na naka post sa facebook! No blur marks for informations ah! As is siya.bilad na bilad information niya na parang daing sa lahat ng gustong tumingin.

^relate ako sa VISA! lol, a friend of mine posted her WHOLE family's US tourist visa with caption pa na "galing talaga namin mambola ng consul!" and also, no blurring or blacking out those vital info. i mean, if this same friend posted that they got approved, i would have liked it pa because I know it's not really easy. pero i don't think i should like the actual VISA images. TMI na talaga. actually this friend, mahangin talaga. post kung post. same friend ko na nakwento ko dito before na i said i like her shades, then instead of thanking me she said na it's from kenneth cole and she got it for this much at this so and so store in so and so SG. nganga talaga ako pero I just let it go. may handicap kasi siya and I know it's not easy for her to be seen and taken seriously or even with respect sa work, so somehow medyo naiintindihan ko siya sa part na yun. yun nga lang sumobra siya sa VISA thing.

grabe naman yung mga visa, that is TMI and it could be cause of identity fraud. i think those people are just not used to traveling, sa mga laging out of the country, wala na lang yan sa kanila.

i have a friend na ganito pero lalaki sya, visa, passport, license nasa fb. nagtataka lang ako nung una dahil di ko talaga gets why he would do that ngayon ko lang naisip na baka nagyayabang sya??? but why??? ano meron....i just don't get it! (mahina lang)

^i have friends like him too---todo kung magpost ng mga US visa nila. I am getting that since they are not frequent travelers (as in perstaym babyahe papuntang US!), they are flaunting na sila meron ng--in this case, US visa. Para ipangalandakang makakapunta na sila ng US LOLS Hindi nga naman lahat ng mga friends nila sa facebook eh mayroong US visa.

I still think that posting such is off. Siguro hindi pa abot ng isip nila what are the effects of posting such docs.

i guess they want to flaunt what they have or what they can afford para people will think highly of them? eh sa totoo naman, those who really can't afford can't be bothered by those things.

Just right now, I saw a colleague of mine from previous work who posted her pasalubongs for her family on facebook na sobrang ayos pa na akala ko binebenta niya kasi parang paninda! Hahaha! Kailangan talagang ipaskil mga ipampapasalubong niya sa family niya? Di ba makukuha ng pamilya niya mga yun? Nakakatawa! Nagmumukhang deprived tuloy pamilya niya of such things! Pati peanuts, snickers chocolate bars etc! Ralph lauren belt, charles and keith bag, lacoste brand, fossils watch? Mukhang pobreng pobre naman pamilya nun na pati pampasalubong dapat naka album pa! As if to say " ayan! Makakatikim na ng branded items pamilya ko!"

Bakit need pa i-post ang US visa? Why not just post their pics taken in the US? Mas interesting pa yun eh, and it also serves the purpose of flaunting.

^no idea why they would still post the visa. I just cant help but cringe just seeing it. Di naman na kailangan eh!Sana pics na lang from US.Mga tao talaga! Kahit di naman na need pa ipost pa mga bagay bagay.. Di lang nag iisip!


Para di OT. Colleague ko nag post ng bahay nila, and yung laman ng bahay nila. Kusina, cr, room nya, masters room, salas nila, kung saan sila kumakain, gate. Ibigay na rin kaya niya address niya para tulungan na rin niya mga may balak mag akyat bahay mapuntahan bahay nila? Since she featured the whole house anyways! kumpletuhin na niya ang hard work at pati address nya bigay na niya! Kasalanan pa niya pag naligaw ang mga gusto mang loob ng bahay nila! Sa dami ng Hackers ngayon? Sure ba siya na di nakikita ng iba ang photos niya?yes, proud siya sa bahay nila, but even foursquare has a security for checking in and for the safety of the person checking in specially in her or residence.Tapos siya, kulang na lang bigay niya BLUE PRINT ng bahay! Para bigyan na rin ng idea kung saan papasok, kwartong papasukin, saan mas maraming kukunin. Kung saan lalabas pagkatapos maghakot ng mga ninakaw! Its just plain stupid! Things like home, di dapat yan dinidisclose! Wala atang concept  ng word na " security purpose"  pati kaya PIN niya i share niya? Lahat na lang ginagawang PUBLIC!

i think its their way of letting people know of their achievements but i just don't get it.

I don't do this, but i don't mind people who do. I think hindi naman talaga pagyayabang ang purpose nito. More like masaya lang talaga sila and proud of their achievements. And personally, magiging masaya na din ako para sa kanila. Especially if tipong pinaghirapan talaga nila (o ng magulang nila) ang pagpapaaral at pinang-review para maka-take ng board exam.

What i find kinda annoying and mayabang are those who post "outfit for the day" type of photos, with matching enumerate ng branded stuff na gamit nila, down to the nail polish, etc. kulang na lang pati brand ng underwear e banggitin. Unless, celebrity sila or fashion blogger or model. Otherwise, sana sa blog na lang nila i-post, wag na sa FB wall. Hehe..

after reading all this thread, i therefore conclude wag na lang magpost at mag-FB lol.. lahat naiinterpret na "YABANG".. para sa akin, depende na lang sa tumitingin yan.. kung paano nila iniinterpret ang post.. kung ang purpose is "pagyayabang" or "proud" lang sa narereceive nilang blessings, bahala na ang nagpost non. appreciate na lang natin or wag na lang pansinin..

i seldom post na kasi everytime na may pinopost ako 'PATAMA' DAW pero hindi naman.. quotes lang yun na like ko and words of wisdom.. most of my pinopost is group pictures, my happy moments.. depende talaga sa nagbabasa or tumitingin yun kung paano nila iinterpret..

I believe that there is a fine line what is ok to post and what is " no need" to post.People just cannot disginguish what is ok and what is not! Grocery items in S&R? Seriously? What do you think?Posting paperbags with RECEIPTS? Hmm? Things that you got as gifts? With a thank you caption?( when all they have to do is just thank the giver privately via sms or pm or ym. Travel pics are ok, what is borderlining OA is still posting visas and passports with important details posted for everyone to see.Its just common sense actually.In this time and age, we should give out less information about ourselves to others and not voluntarily give out information(visa and passport or driver's license, house locations and whereabouts! For ofcourse, for those who still cant think why.. Security purposes!)minsan kasi, puro pagyayabang na lang ang alam gawin, di na naiisip kung ano mga dangers ng pinaggagagawa nila.)as for the people always checking in about the whereabouts, are they inviting STALKERS?too much na kasi minsan ang pagpopost. Halatang halatang kayabangan.
 I may not see anything wrong with someone posting travel pics, whats bothering is when the person post the PRICE, VISAS AND PASSPORT infos.

I wont see anything wrong when a person posts their nailpolish,what I find too much is when the process of cleaning and removing of the cuticles and excess skin or ingrowns are revealed in the picture or posting of the process of scrubbing their feet with all the libags and the callous are still posted. Its GROSS!!so, you think people should still know about how you get your feet cleaned?its something that should be kept already to yourselves. Minsan din di nakakatuwa makakita ng ganyan.

Pasalubongs- what the!! Arranged like it is for sale or something! Ok, sige.. Maganda ka na magbigay ng regalo! Sige na! Ikaw na BRANDED mag bigay! Paperbags arranged with the bag, certificates and tag and reciepts! Watch with warranty card, box paperbag of course.. Showing the BRAND of the watch with.. The customer's copy of credit card reciepts! Ano yun? Di YABANG yun? Nag susumigaw na "Nagyayabang ako!"

There is a limit to everything, too much of " sharing" is also not good!
